After watching your last video, I gave the notebook a try. One use case I found interesting, was to load a miniatures ruleset and a sperate document about a battle and ask the system to produce a scenario for that battle. The speed that this can be done is amazing. However, you have to careful about accuracy and fact check as it can make mistakes.
Yes, the written and podcast responses from the software have had some errors. My understanding is that you can give the computer feedback so it learns to provide better results.
This is friggin' SPOOKY!!!! It really sounds like some online personalities I know (who talk politics, for example). How does the AI figure out how to explain the intricacies of the rules and what's important and what's not??
@@Stiglr I am not sure how it works, but somehow it did a decent job. There were a few errors in the presentation of a specific rule. Otherwise, a good general overview of the game.
@@EricsTableNapoleonicBattles Now I begin to see how students are (ab)using AI to write their papers and reports. I was amazed at how well they managed to "converse" about a very narrow, specialist subject. Very few errors or misinterpretations!!!
Hi @Stiglr. Big fan of yours. I'm seriously thinking of pursuing a PhD in AI with a focus on wargames, rewriting rules for clarity, answering questions, even rules->AI->Jerry White rules rewrite or rules->AI->DSL->Game on VASSAL with rules enforcement.
Fascinating. It strikes me that the AI has created a summary of the material it was given (the rules) and then converted this summary into a conversation. There is no original thought, no criticism, no surprise (yet).

Remember that this technology just recently like last year, fell out of the tree and stood up on 2 feet for the very first time and it's not rubbing two sticks together to make fire, it's got a zippo ready to go and a whole bunch of fire starters. The speed which this technology is becoming usable is astonishing. I've used it on three projects already. I have not spent more than five minutes developing each note and every response I'm getting back is accurate and correct. I know there are incorrect answers in there, but I'm getting correct ones and like I say it helped me out on a VASSAL project last night. A buddy made the note in the morning. I used it in the evening and it fixed an hour long problem I had been having.
@@Justegarde I hear you! This really does not bode well for the future. I actually think this technology needs to be reined in and TIGHTLY regulated, starting with obvious, hard-to-miss LABELS announcing content as AI-generated.
Pretty amazing.
Glad you think so!

Did you have to PAY for that app/program? Or is it freeware of some sort?

I use AI to generate my first draft of a script for the work podcast I do. I then go in and tweak it and then record with the guest.
My spouse is a school teacher. She has been using AI to help with generating quiz questions.
This is actually kind of freaky.
Yes, I found it eerie how "human" they sounded.

It's not a GOOD podcast, but I could totally mistake it for something made by humans.
Yes, the content of the "podcast" was pretty general. How it was presented, the voice and conversational style...that was uncanny.
Not cool at all!!! I just felt like at morning Tv Show... Still humans are ahead of AI, humans KNOW what they are talking about! ;-) Best regards!

@@EricsTableNapoleonicBattles To be clear, your video is good. But the AI thing convincingly replicating human effort sucks.
