    My experience with the Bagster was good. Keep reading for more details. If you are looking to pick up a Bagster, you can order from Amazon by clicking this link:

    Sometimes a small project can generate too much debris to put into the trash or it may not be suitable for regular trash pickup. The Bagster is a way for a homeowner to get rid of some of the construction or other debris that can be a little difficult to dispose of.
    In my case, I had to redo the roof of my shed, including three sheets of roof sheathing. Two at 4' by 8' and one at 4' by 6'. The Dumpster in a Bag is sized at about 3 cubic yards and the dimensions allowed those 4' x 8' sheets to lay flat on the bottom of the bag. It then took all of the shingles (about 2 square) and underlayment. The roofing was the reason for getting the Bagster. After that, there was still a bit of room left over. So it was time to get rid of some other stuff that I have been wanting to lose.
    When it was ready, schedule a pickup. Within a few days, a truck pulls up and takes it away.
    It does need to be near the edge of the property. Within 12 feet or so from the street or your driveway. Even behind a fence is OK. You just have to follow their guidelines for clearances. A damage waver is necessary if the driveway is used. I put mine near the street at the end of the driveway.
    I'm happy with how it performed. The construction seemed to be pretty solid and it took everything I needed it to take and a bit more. For the size of my project, it was perfect. It is definitely too small if you were completely gutting a house. But a smaller project with a lot of flat waste... The Bagster seems to be tailor made for a project like that.
    If you have a project coming up that will require a little demolition or you are looking to get rid of a lot of accumulated junk, the Bagster may be the exact product you are looking for. It fit the bill for me. Here is a link to get one! Please consider purchasing this way. I receive a small commission and it helps the Project Cave!

    I just got one but I live in the city. There are wires over my small driveway. The street is parked up. I don’t know where to put this thing!

    They are about the most confusing, contradictory company to use. What they say you can, and cannot load needs more clarification. Better still, have someone to come out and point what is and what is not allowed.
    The last time we used them, about 7 years ago to pick up roof shingles. Our property had no overhead obstructions, cables, etc. But the driver/operator inadvertently snagged a neighbors cable network wires, pulling it down without notifying them after (noticed later on our security cameras).
    Its a dangerous practice. They should have a "Second man" to be a second pair of eyes of the operator in the lifting process!

    its 200$ to pick it up or 29$ for a bag and pick it up with your farm tractor and burn it in the burn pile for 29$, plus i guess 100,000$ for the tractor and 300,000$ for the 22 acres in rural america with the freedom to burn stuff. So i guess 229$ is a better price for most.

      I don't remember since this was Summer 2020 and construction prices have gotten strange since then. I personally felt the price was fair. But it currently appears in my area to be less than $250 (not including taxes).

      What if it rains? Do you suggest a giant tarp?

    • @TheProjectCave
      @TheProjectCave  3 года назад +1

      It isn't waterproof so it will not fill up with water. Water may affect the weight of the contents if they are absorbent, ie. paper or particle board. A tarp won't hurt, but if it is your pickup day, make sure those large straps are accessible. And you may lose your tarp. But that can be replaced for just a few bucks at any home improvement center.

      @@audreyfishell1147 it's basically a garbage truck. Garbage trucks pick up garbage rain or no rain.
