We've used the same bags for 16+ months. Drag them up a uhaul ramp and then flip them empty (length wise) at our transfer station. 30 seconds of prepping the bag for a hangups-free dump makes it 10x easier
Some folks that mill lumber make pivoting overhead lifts that works with a winch on trailers to load timber. Something like that might work well to get the slight lift and then drag it up on the trailer.
I just removed one recently, drug it up the back ramp by hand. But, it had me thinking the same thing. WM charges $275 here to remove them and I see them all of the time. I charge $125 for the same 3 yards, full service. 1/4 trailer. Maybe the answer isn't even picking it up.... It's just charging for the known volume, pulling up next to it, and hand unloading it into your own trailer.
I got an idea for the bags. Maybe you can get a single fork (I'm thinking the kind farmer's use the move hay) for the skid and if possible use that to move the bags. If the flatbed trailer is big enough you could potentially stack bags in the front of the trailer and park the skid at the back. Schedule the pick ups one day a week and you don't waste time switching trailers daily
I like that a lot, but unloading and loading the skid legally would be a huge time suck! And my trailer isn't maxxed with the skid, but it's just enough that I don't want to add much more weight when driving around with it.
Look into a yard glider. It’s something you put behind your utv to move yard waste. Idea is out the bag on the yard glider and you can drag the bag up on with no issues. Just an idea but I’ve frappes stuff on the truck before with it
the back comes off the recliner, hope that helps. you can get cheap cabinets from cabinet builders, the left over stuff, scratch and dent, wrong size, different style was wanted ie change order on the job.

@1nicesonoma934 yep! Most flatbed don't give you the same tilt angle, so it makes it a little more difficult at the landfill to dump. Especially in winter. But there are a few guys I know who use roll back tow trucks, but even they admit it is a little frustrating to empty them
I think the thing to focus on is the dumpsters businesses use, id rather have the recurring income of that then hunting for the next job always, especially with an employee helping out
what if you got conveyor belt to put under them to act as skids and hook up the the conveyor belt or a piece of plastic to take the stress off the bag? you can make skids out of lumber too to keep it cheap
That’s crazy I get so many calls in and I am in the Philadelphia area to remove those bags every week never fails. Or people will order a dumpster because the bagster they loaded it over that allowed 3000 pound weight limit and now they need to get rid of it.
if you start rolling the bag around the transfer station floor to empty , fold back up ,you’re going to end up with a Steph disease that could possibly kill you you’re getting it all over you ! Get new boots hand sanitizer in truck Lysol for boots
You should get forks for your bobcat and slid the forks in the handles of the bags and lift them up to put in a trailer avoid ripping them up dragging them save you bags
Even if you Had to you could unload them by hand in about 15 minutes as long as you don't allow brick tile or heavy stuff like that. I have done many like that.

If it swings, lift it, swing it and drop it. 🤷🏻♂️ Might work! Second, have you heard of or used AirDNA? It’s a great tool to figure out the potential for an Airbnb by address. I have friends who have a ton of Airbnb’s and swear by it. I just used it in my last property and am excited by its potential.

I like the idea, but I feel like that has Cease and Desist Letter written all over it. In my mind, it's the same concept as you attempting to empty their dumpsters or roll-offs for customers. I feel like it would be the same thing if someone like IESI or Republic was telling people to buy those and then trying to pick them up. Waste Management isn't going to let that fly. They don't make money off selling the bag they make money off picking it up. I've looked into it. It's just as expensive as a roll-off for them to come to get this thing. In my area all in its $200 which seems cheaper than a roll-off until you realize it's only 3 yards. most 20-yard roll-offs are $450 to $500. At their rate, they are getting $1,300 for 20 yards of debris. This is a brilliant invention by Waste Management to make customers mentally feel like they are saving money when in reality they arent.

I thought this to until I had someone load one full of very small drywall scraps and small tile. I wasn't spending 45 minutes unloading that thing

Yep! I will once the trailer is full of them and need to combine in a dumpster
look up something i think its called a davit crane. They are built on the back of trailer or boats for lifting things onto the flatbeds or decks.

A used knuckleboom truck to pull your gooseneck trailer. Lift the bag and set on trailer. Dragging those bags is not good
Going to start small with a 2 ton crane and then move into that if the market seems to be hot enough for the demand!
