- It's not the most profitable thing in the world. But if you narrow down your process and get some creative equipment going. You could start a hauling business with much less overhead than a standard dumpster business!
I can appreciate the “ sh!? happens “ moments. We all have them.
Some more often than others!
This gave me a great idea for a lift system to load these bags (and other stuff) into my dump trailer.
Excellent, reminds me of the trucks with the gantry crane mounted on the back and tipper trucks.
That's the goal!
I believe what your looking for is a jib boom, or if you wanted to go all out an Autocrane 3000lb. withe the jib boom you can have it welded up with pulleys and use the existing winch on your trailer. im guessing you can find Bothe on market place. the auto crane is sometimes referred to as a mechanics crane. I had this model on an f550 for building fuel stations and automotive lifts, it never let me down
Enjoyed meeting you this morning. Thanks again for the content.
Todd if you stay in the area the next few days give me a call if you have time for a beer! Great to meet you!
@@rollingops I’m here until Tuesday and usually free after 6pm. Let’s do it.
@@toddfallone858 look me up on Google later and just give me a call. I'll see if I can get Kyle too.
Look up log Arch trailers similar to this but a much better idea than your current rendition with the rail system.
I've seen them! Pretty freaking handy!
I’ve looked into these myself and the idea I had was mounting a auto crane on my gooseneck which will reach I believe 8 or 9 ft out and lift more then what these bags are rated for. I’ve seen them used sell for under a grand so that might be something to look into
Yea, I've been looking for a used one!
Had a thought on loading the bags,,,, what about using the same system or theory as the automatic tarp system but in reverse? It would start low in the back raises higher as it goes forward. It would load right into the dumpster saving a reloading step. Obviously it would have to be beefed up????😊
Yea, actually a while back, I borrowed a friend's hay bale bed on his truck. I wanted to test if it could do the same thing. It sure could. Would be a great way to do it if you were just going from site to site in a condensed area, picking up a bag at a time and loading them into a bigger dumpster with transfer ramp. But you would be emptying the bed after each pickup
Got me thinking maybe I could possibly find a way to pull the bags into my dump truck. Better your door than a client’s. Maybe I’ll start putting away a small separate account just for instance like this, kinda like self insurance.
Just give it a shot!
Like the dumpster bag idea! May be adding it as a service option for my customers. What is the weight limit you put on them?
I tell people 2000 lbs. Or 1 ton
Tie a knot on the straps on the bag and hook it in the knot… even distribution
I love it
Hey bud. Love your channel, big fan. Just wondering what size bins do you use? Thanks Brad Mac...
14 yard and 20 yard!
What you really need is a crane. Those bags are strong and will take a lot of weight. However, as you saw, with only having some board with nails it caused rips. Dragging like that will lead to a busted bag with debris all over.
good video
Thanks man!
Great business mind keep it up !!! Do you use drs or something like that or do you do everything yourself?
Pretty much all me. But I am training someone so I can grow this business more
There’s a really easy way to get the skid back out, and would make for great content if you recorded driving through the door while closed 😂
Trust me, I'm considering it. Gotta make sure my installer shows up first!
Double up the old bags that have some holes in them. I bet you could get way more uses out of each bag.
I like that! I might try that
Are you still doing the bags? I just picked up a pj roll off trailer and some bins, though I'm thinking these bags would do well where I live. I haven't filled/loaded a bag yet, so thanks for the video, very helpful. I'm hoping to pick up the bags using a tractor/loader, but now you've got me thinking I might not have the height. Seems like a 2' walled roll of dumpster + a pully system like you rigged up might an the answer
I still do, don't advertise them much - but still do a few a week. If I could add my setup I'd put a mini excavator on the front of my trailer and then just drive by picking these up off the side of the trailer. Fully intended to do it that way at some point
@@rollingops well I’ll be your Guinea pig and get back to you lol… I don’t have a mini ex but I’m going try using my tractor backhoe
@@fredsites5723 keep me posted 📫
Do you have a link to the bags that you purchase?
Check out amazon
How do I get a rolling sweater
Ah man! I could probs work something out with ya
Where are you buying the bags?
Amazon!
Do you haul shingles?
Yes, but not in these bags
May I ask how much those bags cost?
Check out Amazon
Your using a 50k machine to do a 15k machine job....atv log loader...will mount right next to gooseneck front of trailer
Why would I buy a 15k dollar machine if I already have the 50k dollar machine?
How many bags can fit your 20 yd
Probably could get 8 or more depending on how people stuff them
Take a look at this trailer for the dumpster bags. Might be ideal for your situation!

Holy cow, very cool, feel like I could get a truck with a crane cheaper though!
Are the bags working
Still work but don't offer them as often because they keep getting back ordered. Hope to buy a bunch at once soon!
