      @@rollingops that has to be gross total right? Cause I would find it a stretch you had 15,000lbs of material plus a 3500lb under carriage plus a 12-1500 dumpster. Thta would be a lot of weight for a pair of 7-8k axles.

    • @rollingops
      @rollingops  Год назад

      @danlabonty9720 I plead the 5th. But I'll just say these trailers perform very well. But I don't recommend overloading them. But it happens sometimes. And 7-8 tons can fit in that bin. And that's no including bin weight. That's why we typically tell roofers to only load 40sq of shingles. That comes out to right at about 5 tons.

    I’m not sure where you’re from but we have a highway service here in Texas called HERO (Highway Emergency Response Operator). They drive around and deploy to stalled vehicles, help change your tire, accidents, etc. They have trucks with the lighted signs on them. They’ll set up cones around that curve and put their truck at the end with their sign to move over. For this instance, there would probably be two trucks as a precautionary.

    I've noticed that you consistently chain down your equipment improperly. But you talk about safety in your videos so I'm thinking you just don't know.
    Legally you need four binders on four corners of the machine. You could still use one long chain but it has to be set up so if the chain breaks in the middle the corners will still be tight with the binders.
    Good luck 🤞

    • @rollingops
      @rollingops  Год назад +1

      So, from what I have read in the past, that only applies to machines 10,000 lbs or more. Both my machines are just under that! But I I'm wrong I will most definitely start. I spoke to a state trooper and everything in regards to this exact thing.
      10k lbs or less 2 large chains would be sufficient. At 10k lbs, I better have a chain in each corner!

    • @MIGHTYX2010
      @MIGHTYX2010 Год назад +2

      @@rollingops So it's not that you need a chain in each corner, You can use one long chain. You need a binder in each corner so that if the chain breaks or another binder comes loose your machine is still strapped down by three corners.
      Under 10k you can use straps over 10K you need chains. Still need four corner securement regardless.

      @@MIGHTYX2010 in his case fmcsa. Machinery under 10,000lbs he needs one frame contact tie down in front and one in the rear. He still needs to meet the working load limit of one half so 10,000lb machine equals 5000lbs of load securement l, so 2 2500lb wll straps ,chains,. Also if carrying mini excavator he would then need one additional for the boom,appendage,accessory implement. Over 10,000lbs is 4 contact points plus one for each additional implement.

    • @MIGHTYX2010
      @MIGHTYX2010 Год назад +1

      @@danlabonty9720 A simple Google search will say you need two tie-downs for the first 10 feet. Then you need one tie down for each additional 10 feet however you do need a tie down for the bucket even on a skid steer or CTL. So now you're at three tie downs. However most skidsters exceed the 10 foot length So you're back to the four tie downs.
      It's not just about the quick Google search it's about all the subcategories in the DOT requirements. Most people do not realize you do need a tie-down for a skid steer bucket even though it is attached to the machine. Also as ridiculous as it is If your machine is under 10 ft long and you only try to get away with the three tie-downs two on the machine one on the bucket Well there is a subsection that will give a savvy cop an opportunity to cite you for not having four securement points on the machine. Could you beat it if you went to court possibly Is it worth all that time definitely not. If you got in a massive accident and it happened to be your fault and your equipment happened to kill somebody or the attorneys going to eat you up probably so All could have been avoided by having that fourth tie-down on the machine and the extra tie down on the bucket.
      So listen you do you and if you want to argue semantics eventually one day if it ever happens to you let me know how court goes 🤣 I'll stick with the overkill of 4 securement points on the machine and one for the attachment. 😘
