Very nice video Moo. Here in UK the current is massive we have the second biggest tide in the world (I think first place is in Canada) anyhow our system is bit different. We use a diving reel cause the line should be about 2-3mm and also we all use anchor trolly and a galvanised chain of 6mm 6ft long at the end connected to the anchor. Quick release operating with the trolly and the circle eye with a carabiner to dis-attached .
@@MooMooOutdoors not sure depends where in Bristol Channel you can’t use kayak. The tide is 20ft and it can rip. If you don’t anchor you’ll drift I guess 3-4mph easily. Where I fish it is a bit less but still can rip in areas of a ‘point’
@@MooMooOutdoors I have been out yesterday after long time on the yak. Was big tide day. My next video will show it... I didn’t pay attention and drifted in short time long distance. The fact it was foggy didn’t help. Sometimes in the South Coast of UK fishing can be very stressful. Thanks
Moo!!! Thank you for answering my request! This is gold. I just bought the same kayak. Thanks as always for the awesome videos and for sharing your wealth of knowledge!
I use the same float for the crabbing and I added a small one so I can tell it's mine from the distance. You simply run the rope through and tie a loop knot on each end.
If you have an anchor trolley that goes the full length of the boat, and if there is a current, is it better to run the ring so the anchor is coming off the front of the boat (so you are bow into the current) or to the stern (bow away from the current)? Thanks Moo!
I guess it will depend on where you want to cast your bait/lure. I pretty much only anchor for sturgeon so my bow is away from the current but if you want to cast upstream you should have the bow into the current.
Halter Hitch and Quick release knot would definitely work but I like using clam cleat more. One reason is that no matter how much load you have on your QRAS line, it takes no effort to release. With a knot the more load you have typically the harder you have to pull. 2nd reason is it's easier to keep and tight tension to QRAS line instead of having a sagging line. 3rd is it's just so easy to place the line in the clam cleat and only need one hand to do it.
Sweet kayak. Does that mean you can sell me that beautiful Revo 13 of yours? haha.Jkin! Thanks to your video I was able to make a quick release for mines.
Good question. I recommend Clam Cleat because it's so much easier to release. With other cleats it becomes harder and takes much more to release when there is a tension on the rope from a large debris or big fish. With clam cleat, no matter how much tension is on the line, you can simply release it with a simple flick.
It's so beautiful
Thanks
Moo I got my kayak! I am reviewing your old safety videos and buying a few safety items from your list. Hope to see you out on the water soon!
😱😱🙌🙌🎉🎉
Nice kayak. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
Great system on that Yak....I've been using a similar rig when live baiting ....Just unclip from the cleat to chase a big fish down!!
Thanks
Nice video, good weather you have there.
It's definitely a spring weather
Great video MooMoo! I didn't know how to figure out how to make my trolley system to quick release. Thanks again.
Thanks.

How fast is the current as in mph?

@@SpicyAngler I'm looking forward to the video.
Loved the great information on that anchor system. Looked like a nice warm day out there. Thanks for sharing MooMoo.
Thanks Adrian
Great info! I will definitely be integrating the quick release system to the yak. Thanks!
Thanks. Be safe out there.

Thanks you. I hope this can be helpful.
Thanks Moo.
Thanks for watching
Wow the no drill method has to be my favorite, I'm am going to order clamp cleat on amazon
Some great information my friend 👍 big like 👍
Thanks John
Some great information my friend tfs stay connected
Thanks
Great tutorial! Needed to add to my yak for a while. Now I know how and with a quick release too! Awesome!
Glad this was helpful.
Lets Go Dino Fishing! Nice Video by the way😁😁
Thanks Rommel. Dino fishing has been tough for me this year. I may go scout for the butts.
Great job MooMoo. My kayak days are coming. I'm storing all your vids like this in my back pocket.
Some call it a madness. I call it an addiction. Either way, there is no cure. Don't blame me if you miss church on Sundays 😂🤣
@@MooMooOutdoors Haha that is a good one man 😂😂
Thanks Moo. Great tutorial.
Thanks Bob. Rumor says butts are coming in.
@@MooMooOutdoors Nice! I love big butts.
Who doesn't? hehe
Liked before even watched!
Thanks haha
Great Vid!!! How do I set up the float. Looks like you rigged it with rope and bungee? Along with smaller float. Much Thanks!

Hey MooMoo any reason you use a cam cleat instead of just tying a halter hitch or quick release knot?

There are quite a few folks wants to buy my Revo 13 so get in line 🙃😜🤣. I'm happy that I could help.
Awesome video
Thanks
A quick question Moo, can’t you just use the built-in cleat from Pompano rather than adding a clam cleat? I think it would do the same?
Good question. I recommend Clam Cleat because it's so much easier to release. With other cleats it becomes harder and takes much more to release when there is a tension on the rope from a large debris or big fish. With clam cleat, no matter how much tension is on the line, you can simply release it with a simple flick.
