Thanks, my man, this is just what I needed. Ordered a new grill for my granddaughters 2014 Sonata and this helped me tremendously. I now can tackle it knowing all I need to know. BTW, I also would not remove the bumper unless it was necessary.
Hey bud, thanks for sharing this!!! I had my grille out in order to get access to the AC condenser to give it a good cleaning. The AC hasn't cooled well when its super hot out and the car is sitting still or creeping along slow, so I used some condenser cleaning chemicals from Nu-Calgon (Nu-Brite) and a pressure washer to clean the condenser and the charge cooler. As it turns out, removing the grille only got me access to the top half, so I wound up taking the entire bumper cover assembly off and got the whole thing nice and clean. Actually taking the bumper cover off was super easy, took less time than having to snake a shorty screwdriver in to take the grille off by itself. Either way, big-ups to you for sharing this video, and try what I did cleaning the condenser and charge cooler for an improvement in how the AC works (and how much power the engine makes.)
I have a 2011 sonata hyundai gls and I had to get a new grill due to accident. It did not come with come the screws so I just want to make sure I get the right size
@@jonboii4322 best bet would be to contact the dealership and they'll point you in the right directions. There probably someone somewhere that has the diagram for all the screws and bolt sizes but odds of finding that is rare lol
how about how to change your thermostat on a 2011 Hyundai Sonota? if there's no pressure on your radiator hose while running. .could this be a thermostat problem?
Exactly as the video shows. Like others have said, you can also take off the front bumper but I feel that way takes more time than this. But it's personal preference.
Why didn't you just take off the entire front bumper and replace the grill. You would've needed to bend the bumper like that and risk breaking something. It would've been faster anyway.
Exactly what I was thinking. Take the bumper off, which is easy then replace the grill, much easier and less risk of cracking the bumper and the grill.
Got my grille off and repainted and then drew a mind blank on the first step to take to put it back on, you saved the day man, thanks!
Great 1 of a kind video! Just ordered a new grille and now I'm set to install. Thanks for doing this...
Hope your grill installed with ease!
What size screws

Thank you very much, excellent video simple and easy to apply. I was able to change the grill without complications. Blessings

Not too sure, I mainly deal with exterior stuff. If it's not how to change the tire/oil/fluids I don't know how.
Do you do Body work on Cars?? what area are you located in??
No, sorry. I'm just your average Joe Shmoe. I do this in my recreational time.
How do you install the lower grill I am having a bit of trouble.
Exactly as the video shows. Like others have said, you can also take off the front bumper but I feel that way takes more time than this. But it's personal preference.
It's much easier to do if you just drop the whole front facia unit!
Yeah I have larger hands. The way I did it is definitely for people with smaller hands lol
Get a Red sonata with a black grill. Tinted windows, Tinted tail lights.
Yeah sure I'll get right on that.
LOL I don't even own this vehicle anymore
That’s what I’m doing with mine
where did you buy this grill and how much?
The grill is factory. I plastidipped it.
What product did you use to plasti dip your grill can you tell !
Is this the same as a 10?
No. The '11 models started a new gen. Same as 2015 Sonatas now.
blackmagic6011 I can just take the bumper off and do it that way tho right?
+blackmagic6011 do you know how to install one in sonata 2015 sport?
Thanks. Very helpful
Thank you!

Because there's a million ways to do one job and I didn't feel like making a million videos lol
