Got my F80 a little over a month. Was going to get a G80 but the looks for the F80 did it for me. Found the lowest miles (9k) best spec F80 I could find and it is a keeper for sure.
@@rafiulrasheen4738 Yeah the prices over lap because there is a good amount of people who prefer the F80 vs the G80. In my opinion the F80 still looks modern and the tech feels modern. I doubt it'll show its age anytime soon especially since they extended G80 production to 2027.

I was thinking about E90 but I’m steering towards these F8x cars, They were brand new when I was in school, now they feel like modern classics to me. I used to love the e46 the same way you explained!
I have an F82. It's really reliable. Parts are cheap and upgrades are plenty. Aftermarket support is fantastic and the community is amazing (only M-community, otherwise B58 boys and N54 boys argue and figjt and the N55 boys feel overlooked). Get the M. M-community is humble and it's all about the feel.

I bought a 2015 F80 M3 in 2020 and I LOOOOOOOVE it! I bought this M3 for personal use and got the Alpine White, 6-spd M3 with only 46K miles for $37K! It was and is in perfect condition, not a scratch on her but, because she came with a manual/stick shift transmission she languished on the local Dodge/JEEP dealership for a year+. I was actually looking for a Challenger R/T with the Scat Pack option + manual/stick shift because I am a DRIVER. But after coming up short finding a Challenger I liked I decided to try out the M3 & after a test drive immediately fell in love. After the first year the front end began making a noise on the passengers side and turned out to be a worn ball joint. Replaced the ball joints on front end by a local M3 specialist for less than $700 and she has performed flawlessly with 0-ZERO problems since. I named her, EmMa and I love her. And your black F80 is SICK, Brah! It looks awesome.

Once you’ve upgraded hub and you take of routine maint and fluid changes. I would say you are more than safe compared to most f8x cars out there. The only weakness of these cars is the Crankhub

The fun and love for driving cool things aspect is priceless. Still own my f80 with nearly 75k miles on it now. That car will never be sold 😭
great video, I bought a 2020 M2 Comp with low mileage recently. I am not a BMW fanboy at all, actually more of a JDM guy. I was initially looking to get a manual MKV Supra but Toyota Dealers suck and the mark-ups were far and above what I would be willing to pay for the Supra. I found a clean M2 Comp with low miles and a ton of extras for a great price and from a reputable dealer that sells a ton of M cars of all kinds. I must say, this is easily one of the best cars I have ever owned. the F8X platform is something else and its cool that you can get it in so many different configurations. I could see myself opting for an M3 in the future if I ever felt the need for more space, and I wouldn't be losing any of that M performance goodness.

I actually don't mind the raspy s55 exhaust note, it's very rowdy. But I have to admit equal length mid-pipes makes it sound even better. I'm on the hunt myself for an F8X in limerock grey. Hard to find in that individual color. Also on the border between a Comp or CS. The carbon bits and lightweight on a CS are fantastic, but I think you get less tech since it's supposed to be saving weight. I don't think CS has upgraded sound system or dual climate, or even power seats. Maybe do a video comparison between the two following up on this video!!!
I have a CS M4 review on my channel actually, and given my car is a comp, I rather take the comfort and climate amenities over the lightweight CS features. Plus you can good quality CS aftermarket carbon parts for cheap compared to bmw oem lol

Bought my 2018 F80 comp (individual avus blue) in march, 22k miles, no accidents, 58k...paid cash. Values are going to drop, but I just wanted a fun car, the individuals are getting hard to find. Could of bought a G80, test drove one, was just too ugly, big, heavy...doesn't feel like a sports car.

Awesome video, the s58, while having a little more power, will never compare in looks under the hood compared to the symmetry of the s55 with the oem cf strut brace. These cars are works of art under the hood and the whole front and side silhouettes. The g8x just looks amazing on the inside with the cf buckets in red or white only. There is no s58 that looks as good as your engine bay right now. Peace bro!✌🏽

The M3 has been one of my all time favorites. When it came time to make the jump the prices just skyrocketed so my next best option was getting the 335i msport. I’ll get one one day. Good vid bro!!
I got mine earlier this year because my 46 m3 got written off was going to get e90 but when saw how much they have dropped borrowed more money so li could just about to get in one with higher mileage and had been in accident repaired so was a steal at 23 k Uk so happy I did never thought I would get in to one so soon and better mpg ❤

But we can buy cars which are imported from the US (total losses) and they are repaired here in Germany and then sold for quite a few Euros less than cars without an accident. Hey bro, sorry for the late reply-I loved the tone of the eql more but sadly at the time, with downpipes could only do the single which also sounded amazing. But active just released their v2 eql with extra resonators so you can run them with downpipes now 👌🏽

Yeah I wouldn’t advise buying higher mileage, but that’s what some people can only afford haha. As long as you do your due diligence on previous owner and if the car hasn’t been tuned/beat on would play a huge role too. I’ve seen plenty over 80k with no issues
so close to pulling the trigger but my insurance would be almost as much as my payment im thinking about just waiting a year putting down like 40% and hope my insurance rates lower to a reasonable price 😭

yes a lot of people will say m340i for more of a daily experience, but if you can keep up with maintenance and not drive like a maniac you should be fine. other than that crank hub is the only big thing
I said wait it out man! M340 is a beast because of the b58, but to me it misses on looks that an f80 m3 will always have 💯. Plus your IS350 can hold you over in the meantime! I’ve seen 2018 prices dropping lately for f80’s so you never know 🙏🏽
I originally wanted an E92 M3 before I ended up getting my 370z back in 2019. But now, that BMW itch is coming back to me in full swing and I think it's time for me to dive into the F8x platform hopefully soon. Would definitely suck to get rid of the Z but these cars seem pretty amazing. That being said, I've been searching for only around a week now and have noticed pretty commonly that these cars will go for around $45-50k with around 50k miles. I don't really want to go higher than 50k~ miles tbh but I've been wondering how good of a price that is. Value proposition does seem pretty damn good all things considered when I think about how with my Z, these cars usually go around 25-30k

@@Xccord at 20 I was driving around a beat 98 camry I bought for 2k with 200k miles. It would constantly overheat so I had to vent the engine heat through my interior vents lol. Don't sweat it. Life happens so fast. One day you're broke and homeless and the next you have your own family with 5 cars about to move into a brand new house. Buying a nice car at a young age can be super nice but it's also a horrible financial decision. My advice, find a long term goal with realistic short goals to get there. Don't buy shit you KNOW you can't afford. BTW, you need to earn at least 100k in Socal to comfortably drive a 2023 Camry! If you earn under 80k as a single person you are considered low income.

Great video man and congrats on the 10k! I've been keeping my eye out for a 2018 F80, but the prices and interest rates for the spec and mileage I want aren't where I'm ready to pull the trigger. I'm debating jumping into an M340i in the meantime, but my heart says to wait! What are your thoughts on the M340i? I'm currently in a 2018 IS350 FSport so I feel like I can wait it out and get my dream F80 M3.
get a f80 its way more fun. much more raw experience. definitely catches a lot more attention than a m340i
yes a lot of people will say m340i for more of a daily experience, but if you can keep up with maintenance and not drive like a maniac you should be fine. other than that crank hub is the only big thing

I said wait it out man! M340 is a beast because of the b58, but to me it misses on looks that an f80 m3 will always have 💯. Plus your IS350 can hold you over in the meantime! I’ve seen 2018 prices dropping lately for f80’s so you never know 🙏🏽

I originally wanted an E92 M3 before I ended up getting my 370z back in 2019. But now, that BMW itch is coming back to me in full swing and I think it's time for me to dive into the F8x platform hopefully soon. Would definitely suck to get rid of the Z but these cars seem pretty amazing.
That being said, I've been searching for only around a week now and have noticed pretty commonly that these cars will go for around $45-50k with around 50k miles. I don't really want to go higher than 50k~ miles tbh but I've been wondering how good of a price that is.
Value proposition does seem pretty damn good all things considered when I think about how with my Z, these cars usually go around 25-30k

@@Xccord at 20 I was driving around a beat 98 camry I bought for 2k with 200k miles. It would constantly overheat so I had to vent the engine heat through my interior vents lol. Don't sweat it. Life happens so fast. One day you're broke and homeless and the next you have your own family with 5 cars about to move into a brand new house. Buying a nice car at a young age can be super nice but it's also a horrible financial decision. My advice, find a long term goal with realistic short goals to get there. Don't buy shit you KNOW you can't afford. BTW, you need to earn at least 100k in Socal to comfortably drive a 2023 Camry! If you earn under 80k as a single person you are considered low income.
