Bought my 18 Comp individual Imola Red for 56k with 23k miles last year. I feel like I got a great deal, no regrets purchasing this car is the most fun I’ve ever had. Was an obtainable dream car and I’m never getting rid of it lol
I own a f80 ymb comp manual, I always wanted a 911 and considered selling my f80 but....I don't think so if I can't have them both it ain't gonna happen! The F80 keeps me young...I'm 65 btw😂
Actually, and I had to look this up, the M3 is 2.5 millimeters wider in the back on each side! Idk if anyone can actually see that with their eyes, but it is wider... Love the video, can't wait to drive in the mountains again!
I can relate to all of this. My 2018 f82 is stage 2 with all the preventive maintenance mods, lowered with aftermarket wheels, and lots of carbon. Exhaust is catless downpipes single midpipe stock comp muffler. Only issue is that it sits a bit low so lot of scraping, other than that it is just perfect imo
That’s actually very funny your talking about a hypothetical non ppi experience and it’s pretty much exactly what happened when I got my f8x 😂😂😂GET A PPI especially if it’s a car you plan on keeping for a while
Thanks for the perspective. Love the cinematography in the beginning. I couldn’t emphasize a PPI more - no matter where you’re at or what kind of car, especially an expensive sports car you want to make sure you’re crossing your t’s and dotting your i’s.
I looked for over a year and shipped my f82 across the country last year, 52K miles at the time, just hit 64K a few weeks ago. Been an absolute dream, besides oil pan gasket and OFHG going at the same time 😋😋. I've done control arms, put on a CBC then well.... BM3 Stage 1, GTS DCT, MDM and some other coding done. MAD Chargepipes, Dahler Antitheft, Dinan intake filters and charcoals out. Getting single midpipe soon and not sure what mods to do next. Way too much fun
I always had my eyes set on a F80 but budget restrictions and a wish for a V8 drove me to a C63S. Recently I drove a F90 M5 and I have my eyes set on one but the F80 is also on my radar. Problem is, here in Europe a 2018 F80 is the same price as the 2018 F90. The F90 is much more car and 600whp stock is no slouch either!
Just depends on what you want. If you like a v8 and don’t mind having a bigger heavier car then go for the m5, i personally like the smaller cars 4 series and below. They feel more like drivers cars and the inline 6 motors are easier and cheaper to take care of.
Just bought a 2018/F80 Black in black . Coming form the previous models M. Love this one . First time owning a DCT . Trying to figure how you downshifted and rehung at the same time.
Wish I had waited to buy mine, bought a 2018 comp fully loaded ikons everything for 65k in 2022 looking at in nor I could get the same spec same mileage for 45
Hey Trevor, awesome video man I love your channel. Like you, the F80 M3 is my dream car and I've been looking to upgrade from my 2019 F32 440i. I am struggling to justify getting into a 2018 F80 in 2024, considering that nowadays the G80 platform really isn't that much more expensive. I am very split because I love the looks of the F80 way more than the G80 but you just get way more bang for your buck going with the G80 (more performance, better technology, newer car, warranty, etc). Would you think it is worth it going with a F80 M3 over a G80 M3 in 2024? The F80's have held their value pretty well and I would be looking to get a low mileage with all the options so it would hold value a bit better in the future, but i'm just so torn😂. Just looking to hear some opinions. LOVE those wheels btw!
There’s about a solid 20k difference in the G80 and F80 which I think is a pretty big difference. The only downfalls to the G8x to me is they are heavier and bigger, way less nimble and more numb. I really like the G8x and if you have the extra money just get the G. I’m a true F chassis fan boy and very partial to it because it was the newest generation when I got into M cars. I hang around G chassis cars all the time and you’re not gonna be out of place in an F8X car but the s58 is a better motor and like I said if you can afford it stress free get the G
Whyd you choose the dct over the 6mt? Debating so hard on whether i should get the 6mt over the dct. Im not gona be racing the car so i dont mine the slower shifts from a 6mt over the dct
I just personally at the time wanted a DCT to experience what all the hype was about. Great transmission and don’t regret it. When I get an e92 it will definitely be manual. Get a manual if you want to they’re amazing!
Hey F80 Trevor, I want to mod my 2020 440i xdrive gran coupe, front bumper, lip, and rear spoiler. What body shop would you suggest for the Charlotte/Concord area?
Im thinking about getting a 2015 f80 m3 for 29k clean title, 94k miles and 3 owners. Do you think it’s a good deal? Dealer said the car runs and drive well and is up to maintenance, definitely gonna get a ppi tho.
29k for an m3 is insane. I would do it especially a clean title under 100k miles. You’ll likely never see them for that again after the market goes up again
@@applylol just enjoy the car and don’t do the stuff I said in the video and it probably won’t happen to you 😂 a ton of people who spin their hub are small brained and lie about how they did it
@@applyloldon’t have to worry bout crankhub if you’re stock, but if you’re going to modify it definitely worth the peace of mind. Just avoid kickdowns as that’s what usually makes them go kaboom
An M3 was my dream car since I was 4 years old, I had an F80 for a year and couldn't fault it at all. I sold it to try something different and miss it everyday, I think it's time to go back.

The G80 is not as exiting, simple. I like my cars OEM but credit to you, the car is sweet 👌
