  • Was finally able to get the turbo s2000 on a dyno.
The car made 388whp/309 ft-lbs at 14 PSI on 93 octane. The car is a blast to drive at this power level.

E85 and a full 3 inch exhaust will be your best friend, my car made 512 @12 psi. Beautiful car BTW

With the same kit and turbo?

Wish I had gone with that kit instead of Kraftwerks supercharger….

I made that mistake and now have this turbo kit. It’s worth the jump but it hurts the wallet!

@@funkybreakbts I ended up selling the S2000 3 years ago right before the big boom in values. Part of the reason I sold it after owning only a couple of years was because I didn’t like the supercharger. Didn’t like the peaky power, HATED the belt noise. Didn’t have the cash to take a huge loss on the kraftwerks kit and then buy the turbo kit. Funny thing I was so on the fence and eventually chose the supercharger. Could have just as easily done the turbo kit instead but they had a long wait time for it and I was impatient. I’d prob still have the car had I gone turbo. It was a mint silver
stone 2004 that I picked up in 2016 with 40k miles. Oh well you love and you learn

Nice video, it’s pretty wild how much that manifold limits power. Or could he just the stock exhaust holding you back a tun. I made 433whp with a gt3076r on 12psi. Forward facing manifold with long straight runners, 3” dp and 3” exhaust REALLY helps with power. Either way. Beautiful car and 380hp is still enough to have fun. Hope you’re enjoying it.

More videos about your turbo, sounds, and driving review would be appreciated! I'm thinking about going SOS as well. How does boost/powerband come on with the 3582r? Is it laggy at all?

  • @TFossett

I have essentially the same setup, but with a PFab kit and ACT 6 puck sprung clutch and SOS lightweight flywheel, and on race gas I make about 640 to the wheels give or take

Just what I want for my 02 S2000 with 135,000 miles
      Enjoy your 385 HP

Enjoying your videos. I’m considering the same wheels. Mind sharing what sizes and offsets you’re running? Any fender rubbing? Thanks!

Thanks! The wheels are 17x9 +45 with 245/40/17 tires all the way around. Fenders are rolled. No rubbing for the most part. If I hit a big bump on the highway the rears will rub a bit though.

Would you mind sharing who you went with for the remote tune? Car looks and sounds great. Seems like this is the perfect spot (HP/TQ) for drivability.

I had Evans tuning do my etune. He definitely made the process easy and I’m satisfied with the tune.

Im on the fence between the SoS supercharger and turbo. I want something predictable but fun, do you feel like this kit jumps up on those turbo hits fast?

    • @dpgarage4501
      @dpgarage4501  Год назад

This kit has been a blast. Its making full boost at ~4500rpm with the gt3582r.
The SC will have a more linear power band that’s probably more predictable. But this turbo kit will make more power across basically the entire RPM range than a SC.
Both are a great option though.

@@dpgarage4501 Thanks for the reply, Ill probably end up going with the turbo kit, I can always boost by gear and control it I suppose.

I haven’t had any issues other than the intercooler hose couplers popping off. Would recommend upgrading the clamps to t-bolt style clamps if you go with this kit. But other than that it’s been a very reliable kit for me.
