I’m a former S2k Owner, and yall are complaing about the man’s shifting. His shifting is actually very decent, the stock s2k trans aren’t strong. And the gear ratio’s are extremely short. No driver mod needed, just a stronger trans & longer gears!
Nail on the head brother. Stock gear ratios are way too short for roll racing. He had only like 5 seconds between the shifts, and the redline should be near 9000rpm, you can clearly make out how short they are, which makes sense because they were designed to make the stock 240hp feel and accelerate quicker. Rear diff with longer ratio is the only thing she needs.
I believe the S2000's driver knows what he's doing, he is very careful not to break that stock transmission, it definitely needs a better and longer geared transmission, probably a heavy-duty differential too.

It can't take it long! Needs a T56 or sequential. At 750whp it should jog away from the Shelby. Not sure if 750whp was all there. I'm making 821whp in my S2k and the stock tranny couldn't even handle it at over 650 for very long.

I've watched 10,000 of racing videos on RUclips. Out of all those videos I've seen a mustang win LESS than a dozen times. They ALWAYS lose. Hell I beat a GT500 in my bone stock 2018 Cadillac Ats 2.0T. not by much but winning is winning. 🤷♂️ Also he'll need A LOT more mods to get 60-130 in 4 seconds clearly you are a fan boy. 🥴

@@1WHITELIGHTNING82 who said anything about one pulley size down from a 2.65? Btw on a 2.7 I was running 4.6x 100-150’s consistently. Depends on tuner a lot and other supporting mods. After interchiller I switched to 10% lower for more AC compressor speed as well, and to help with belt slip. Definitely not on just a 2.7 pulley anymore lol

as a manual driver you know that being good at shifting good plays a huge roll in winning races, if you’re going to drive a manual better know how to row them gears

Anybody watching the race or having prior knowledge about cars and that one specifically can say the same thing. GT500 DCT Trans is just wayyy to much for the s2ks stock trans.
They did, but for what they offer they are still a great value.. S2000 on stock motors can make 600whp safely.. those factory forged internals can take a beating.
DCT is just to good at what it does compared to a manual. I’m sure the Honda driver wasn’t power shifting or banging gears as you mentioned it was stock trans. If he was able to no lift shift that would have helped but you could tell it’s falling out of boost between shifts.
The next gen Precision 6466 is capable of 1,000hp. However, we don't know the finer details on the Hondas turbo. That Shelby is ridiculously fast for just bolt ons!

Just about any similarly powered car can beat an S2000 above 110. They have horrible aerodynamics. My supercharged s2k does 60-130 in like 11 seconds, but 0-100mph it can hang with cars that do 7 second 60-130 times.

This manual gearbox has its limitations, looks like. The synchros or the gearing in 4th takes a real beating.
