Loved this video! I’m the exact opposite of cool girl when it comes to style but loved the tips.
I’m like Ethan, I love chatting with new people (was a musician so tracks with his exposure therapy take). One tip that I’ve kept in the back of my head for walking into a room where I don’t know anyone is, people love to talk about themselves. Being curious (and kind of course) and asking about folks lives, careers, journey to where they are now rarely goes sour.

17:30 So with this photo, she could have taken a photo first.... and then taken a photo of the perfect angle, from her converse. I say this, simplly because the way she is turned in it, but it is possible she zoomed out to .5 zoom (the phone is naturally at 1.0 zoom) and got it that way! I just feel like the angle is difficult to get without a prop to see the whole body, which is the coolest part! Honestly I have a lot of people compliment me for my vibes, I have always had a unique style, and just find what is most flattering on me! Such as you finding your colors, it makes you feel put together, and therefore, you hold your head up higher! I know i wear ALOT of black, and when i go to my natural colors, i look sweet.

Two tips i have for the slicked back hairstyle:
- use a small comb after your hair is up to smooth out the small bumps on your hair
- use a soft toothbrush to spread the product on your hair and tame the baby hairs

A thing I do when doing a bun is that i tie my hair up in a regular firm ponytail and then wrap the hair into a bun with a new elastic. That way I don't get any kinks or weird pieces of hair moving around🙌😄

From the black girl community! I slick my hair down all the time with the got2be! I recc using something like a toothbrush (there’s edge brushes) that are made for this and it really helps get the detailed areas and it gives you more control. You can also wrap your hair with a silk scarf to allow the product and hairs to fry into place!
Okay I have the got2be and I just haven’t mastered it yet!! I massively appreciate your advice, I’m gunna try find a brush that works better cause I’m definitely doing it so wrong 😭 it never looks like everyone else’s hahaha

I really didn't know how much I needed this video, not only because I couldn't figure out how to do that sleek bun on my own 😂 It made me think and reflect on myself and where I am in life as a person right now. I recently felt soooo out of touch with myself, mostly everything about me feels so weird. My appearance, my style but also my social life and my family situation. In the last months so much changed, I finished my university degree, moved in with my boyfriend, my parents suddenly split after over 30 years together. Between that, allthough there was good stuff like finishing uni, I totally lost confidence in myself. I am 25 and on a regular basis people think I am 15 (by my apperance mostly, I look very young but to some extent the vibe I give off I guess). Your and Ethan's words kind of woke me up and made me realize that I have to and can do something about this very wonky stage that I am in. Thank you so much for this, you really touched my inner, not so sparkely right now, spark! 🫶🏼
