All what you say is very true 👍 the book is a very good read to. Running is a very simple sport just made harder by the so-called experts 😀

Appreciate the insights - Sports can lead to so many lessons. I tie in this in the last video on my channel too - Discussing how teamwork in sports can be translated to America right now. I hope we inspire people to use sports to facilitate life lessons. Keep up the meaningful content! Just subscribed to your channel

Lememed means practice by the way. Great video with wonderful insights. I’m am a runner always looking for videos like this to learn from.
Edit: you’re also not wrong. It could be translated as adaptation, I think.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment Meklit - really appreciate it! Yeah I mean the translation given by the author in the book was for adaptation. I think you can tell I'm no expert in Amharic 😅 hope you find value in future videos

Altitude never never help Ethiopians. Colombia Lapaz is 7000 meter above sea level more than double of beautiful Addis Ababa. But have we ever heard a Columbian gold winner or a Swiss Alps gold winner which are significantly higher in Altitude than Addis Ababa. Poverty was not a reason for Ethiopians' win either. Have we heard of a Yemeni or Dijiboutian or native Somali Gold winner? The reason Ethiopians are winners are, they are the only country in Africa never colonized and mindfully free of jealousy or unfriendliness of those colonized African capitals. But the training in Addis Ababa is not easy , regimental and disciplined ! Ethiopia for your interest one of the most unique nations in the planet. In Africa it is the only country that have their own language and lettering.
