Excellent video. Visitors can't possible get better recommendations than from true locals. All the other videos are made by Farangs and non-Thai Asians just visiting so they always recommend the stuff other Vloggers recommend, which is worthless. This is so much better than those Vloggers who have over a million subscribers! Thank you!
Favorite Thai Foods - Green Curry, Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goon and Boat Noodles. Boat Noodles are the best. I cannot eat spicy hot foods, they hurt my stomach. Good video Kittichai!
A way to desribe nua would be like the taste meaty aroma. Like a good stew would be nua too. It doesnt have to be actual meat, MSG is found in meat and tomatoes for instance and it thats why we find it so delicious. Love your interview videos so much! I learn a lot of thai from them.
Thanks for making this interview. There are many write ups about Thailand and the Philippines about similarities. And based on your interview with common people... it has confirmed that information. SIMILARITIES in culture. Thats why among the 10 asian countries... I like most to visit is Thailand and to stay longer. People, culture and food. Filipinos too are hospitable, family oriented 10 million Filipinos working abroad OfW send home money for their family enduring loneliness, discrimination, bigotry still they work. I like the Thai people views seems the same for Filipinos. Like they say Thailand is the twin sister of the Philippines in SEA. Watching from the Philippines. I like your video.
I like this video because it tells what regular everyday people would suggest you to try. Planning for my first trip to Thailand this year and now I have a list of food to make sure I try first when I get there. Thanks !
Firstly, love the videos. I love too many dishes to list and some I cannot name, but my all time favorite was Larb Gai or Larb Moo. Spicy for me all the way. The variety is what makes Thailand so great. Som Tam is definitely a must try, but so many street foods are worth a try for sure. It is interesting that Thai people think us Farang like to be with other Farang while visiting. Khao San Road wasn't that interesting to me, but I loved visiting public places, temples and wandering the countryside. The people and the food are my main draw cards, followed by the history and architecture - wonderfully happy smiling Thai people. Amazing Thailand.
Funny and interesting interviews! I agree that the fermented fish in som tam smells bad. That's why I prefer som tam thai instead. I love thai food in general. Pad kra pao and mango with sticky rice are some of my favorites.
First time I went to Isan (Khon Kaen) I ordered som tam and I thought that was so bad (with pla ra).. I wonder if Isan people like Swedish surströmming :)
Kittichai, great to see you finally broke radio silence! You know, I think I have to agree with the young ladies that said tom yum goong. I believe that is my favorite Thai food. But oh, it's hard to decide because I love all Thai food 555 (except for the bugs, rats, snakes and rotten fish 555). Thai culture is amazing to me. I love it. But some things I can't wrap my thick Western head around. Like eating bugs, rats, rotten fish, snakes and such. Anyway, I agree with the young lady and her assessment of the Thai people. They are the most generous people in the world I think. And they are genuinely warm towards foreigners and visitors. Thank you for another great job, my friend.
Thank You for talking with Real Thai people. They made Great suggestions. I am visiting Thailand in August. Now I know a few thing to order and what they are. This makes me Less nervous So Thank You.
you rock! The video is sensational, in my opinion you have a nice way to interview, keep up the good work you are on the right track. Only watching the video gave me thai food graving despite the only recipe that I've ever tried is the green curry, I wish someday be there to try the authentic flavour of those dishes! :)
When I visit Thailand in the early 1990s, my favorite food was tum yum and the spicy green papaya with sticky rice. It was on the biggest floating restaurant in the world in Bangkok.
Love your videos. Hope soon you get a real microphone. Not only for the better sound quality but more professional look during your interviews. Keep going mate :)
I like Thai food so much that it’s DANGEROUS! I can barely get through the delicious street food stands in Khet Dusit without trying everything-and then how will I fit into my clothes?? I want to give a shout to the dtalaat, markets, where I buy fresh vegetables. I usually make friends with one of the vendors by always buying from her (usually it’s a lady) and she loads my bag with extra stuff! I’m particularly fond of Thai mushrooms! Cooking in Thailand is also a lot of fun.
Great video, beautiful scenery, and lovely women that are friendly and smiling, who wouldn't love Thailand or it's people? One day I will be able to visit.
my favourite Thai food are Quaidiau muh (noodle soup with pork) or massaman gung or tom ka gai and and and. There are so many delicious meals coming from Thailand. Best food in the world. pom rak ahaan Thai loy. sabaii dee pi mai duay na
Kittichai,Saw you and "Rob" on his You Tube piece ! Great chemistry between you two. A new subscriber for you.. Keep up the great work.. Looking forward to seeing you grow!!
I’m a big fan of spicy and garlicky stir-fried morning glory, sticky rice and som tam too. I also really love these black sesame soy drinks and spicy sea weed. I think food in neighbouring Laos and Cambodia is equally amazing. It’s all a dream.
I had green curry in a small Thai restaurant nearby here in the US not long ago. I'd always been afraid to order it as I don't like overwhelming spiciness. Same with Masaman. The lady is right. DELICIOUS. AROY MAHK. When I'm in Thailand, I usually eat a western breakfast (just because early morning is not the time for food adventures for me). My favorite snack is skewered chicken or pork (Satay?) with peanut sauce and sticky rice. I've tried fried grasshopper and also pickled grubs. They were OK for a side dish, but I don't want to eat a whole plate full of either. Almost always, Thai friends did the ordering at restaurants. I like almost everything. My favorites are fish dishes. They are prepared differently than at home, and are full of different flavors. The only thing I don't want to order is PAPAYA, spicy Issan salad. Much too spicy for me, but I think if less spicy then what is the point of eating it? It's much better in Thai;land to eat with friends, order several dishes and share like at home. Then you get a much fuller spectrum of flavor. Fun video.
If pla ra is what i think it is, man, it is powerful! My eyes started watering when i tried just a small amount. Not to my liking, but many people in isaan love it.
Great video man! I've tried many Thai dishes, my favourites have to be Tom Yum Moo, green curry and kraprow moo, moo kata, ba-mi-gyo... oiiiii!!!! Too many to mention actually 5555. What I hate is that I have to ALWAYS mention that I want it spicy as the person assumes because I'm farang, I can't handle spicy food. To be honest, I couldn't handle spicy food when I came to Thailand but I trained my mouth to accept spicy food and enjoy it. Now I have to have spicy flavour in my food else it tastes boring. I like that the girl suggested places other than Khaosan Road, there is so much more nightlife to enjoy in the city and surrounding suburbs other than that road or some of the clubs in Sukhumvit. Really, when I used to go to KSR, I didn't feel like I'm in Thailand anymore with the amount of farang that are there and I've had much better times with my Thai friends at Thai restaurants and bars with live bands playing, than going to places like KSR, etc.
Som tom in chiang mai nearly killed me!!!....hahaha.......my girl made me green curry.....loved it!!.....but i found that i loved all thai food!.....even though i don't like the smell of fish sauce...(which seems to be in EVERYTHING! )........still,Thai food is my favorite!!!
I'm moving to Thailand soon, and your videos have helped me understand a tonne about the country and culture, so thanks! I don't think you live in Chiang Mai/Rai, but if you do would love to grab a drink (my treat) (also in BKK for a week!). And best Thai food? Khao Soi!
Luckily Thai food is fairly easy to get where I live in USA. There is a restaurant owned by an Isaan woman that is very near where I live and I go there often. I like Pad Gra Pow quite a bit. I also like Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles). and chicken Satay is a nice appetizer. and the fried banana with coconut ice cream (dont know the thai words for that) is a great desert. They dont make the food as spicy for most of the westerners but I can handle spicy so I love it.
I'm a big fan of your Channel Kittichai. It's so simple but yet so lovely! I was wondering how filming around in public is perceived in Thailand? Will i be looked down upon for filming people without their permission? It's not to be creepy but it's to catch the energy, vibe of the place and the people. Places like parks, beaches, markets, party's, ...
That "Nua" taste of fish marinading for a few years, is, um let's just say... a pretty advanced topic. Reminds me of my dried and hot rolled cuttlefish misadventure which was the single worst thing I've ever had in my mouth.
Strange that Bankokians can't think of some interesting places to suggest. What about floating markets like Khlong Lad Mayom? What about Mueang Boran? What about Chinatown or Bang Kachao for cycling? As for food, I love all thai food, except som tam pla ra :) I think most farangs, including me prefer som tam thai. Kung pao and pad pakboong is on my mind now. Awesome videos though! An idea for next video: ask thai girls (or guys) how they met their bf/gf? Especially interested if the bf/gf is farang.
Lovely Kittichai 1) Tom Kha Gai / Goong 2) Moo Grob 3) Som Tam 4) "Larb" anything 5) Any isan soup that is made from pigs blood and lemon gras with a lot of chilli. But please! Don't cook Pussycat!
Nam Prik Ong, Pad Kra Pao, Som Tam, Pineapple Curry... hmmmm. I could carry on with endless list... The best way how to enjoy Thai food is to marry a Thai chef ;-).
Stop talking about food, I'm hungry cant wait until I get there 82 days in counting ..lol.....I like Pataya Salad, Cashew chicken, Spicy Pork Salad, Sticky Rice with Mango...Thanks for sharing
Very nice video. Yes Somtam is really too spicy for me. I do not eat in Thai restaurant for farang but in cheap Thai places for Thais.I can't eat stinky raw fish, only well cooked ones as I am afraid to get sick with seafood. IT CAN RUIN YOUR JOURNEY TO GET SICK. I wonder why thai ladies have not more ideas to tell what can be seen in Bangkok. The only place to avoid is Khao San Road. When I spent 12days in Bangkok I was walking more than 15km per day. I just checked on RUclips the 25things to see in Bkk. In 12 days I couldn't see all. I love and miss Thailand, I miss the people, I miss my adoptive family from Nongkhai, I miss my friends from Phuket too. Thanks so much for your nice video which helps me to wait for the next trip.
Good VLOG. interesting that Som tam came up lots. I can eat it , but don't like the little crabs in it. Too much shell..... I absolutely love Durian. The taste and the texture make it worthwhile. Smell is not that bad , but it does linger. Lots of other items that are on the top ten list.....👍
I haven't tried the food they said, yet. My favorite is Pad See Ew Chicken. My favorite Thai restaurant is Suda Restaurant on Sukhumvit 14 Alley, next to Asok BTS Station.
Another great addition to your video contributions! Keep doing the great work and keep out of trouble with the authorities. If you do have issues a review of your content shows very positive videos and you being a great representative of your country! Maybe the tourism board could learn some things from you (maybe even hire you)!!! ;-)
Kittichai. You are taking on Mark Weins talking about food. Yes it is Som Tam but Thai and Lao have different Nua. I like all sea food and I like Kaeng pa. If you like adventure eat in the Muslem section of Bangkok. I try not to eat muui though myself for health. I recommend fire pot though and for Falang men Isan Bull Penis soup
Great and fun video. Why did you get evicted from the park? . As for food, i really enjoy pad kee mao, khao man gai, mu ping, gai yang, etc. Many seafood dishes with shrimp, crab, and fish such as pla pao or almost any soup. . Not a fan of congealed blood or pla ra, aa you mentioned, and you can eat my portion of any organs, brains, or chicken feet. Haha . Thanks for the video, really a fun channel
Yes. Som tom without the crab, lol i love thai food, i can stay two weeks and never want farang food. I'll be coming back in April. No rotten fish smell. Stick with red and green curries.
LOL!! Something happens to all the Thais, Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese when they cross the pond. The food just isn't as good here in the States as it is in their home countries. However, I'll look around here for what I hope will be a decent Thai restaurant and try to nail down some of the entrees those lovely ladies mentioned.
@@EternallyGod You didn't understand what I meant exactly. Kittychai asked the girls what they would recommend as food for a farang. And they gave a few recommendations. These recommendations included all meat and fish. I am often in Thailand and I also know women there who eat vegetarian or just vegan. And I also know a woman who has only been drinking water since birth. And all women enjoy best health. I recommend Thai-Phad Taphao, Thai Curry, Thai Panang Curry, Thai Masaman Curry or Pad Thai (all dishes without meat) to all people who eat at least vegetarian. Aroi mai? Aroi mak mak ;)
1. Pad Kra Pao. 2. Pad Prik Pao (Gai Pad Prik Gaeng). 3. Nam Prik Pla Too (Miang Pla Too) 4. Yam Kai Dao 5. Khao Pad Goong 6. Kkao Kluk Kaphi 7. Fuktong Pad Kai 8. Suki Haeng 9. Pad Mama 10. SOM TAM :D
I love Thai food. But: sometimes there's just too much sugar in the food. Of all kinds of Thai food, central food is the one I like the least. Isaan food, Northern food and Southern Thai food are the best!
Tell your government to stop getting rid of street food vendors, they are what makes thai food so great. Bangkok does not need to be turned into boring Singapore. My favourite food is choo chee pla tuu (ฉู่ฉี่ปลาทู)or Bpuu Pad Pongali (ปูผัดผงกะหรี่). My least favourite is Tom yum

Sawadee Kop from Maechaem Thailand! Always Great Vids!
I always tell my friends that visit Thailand that you have to try the Mangoes and sticky rice. There's nothing comparable in the US.
Thai subtitles!!!!!! :)
Love your channel
Thank you so much. Please keep making videos, because they are so helpful for learning.
I Love Thai food! I haven't had all the different plates so I cannot decide on a favorite yet. Great video! Salute Bradda
Bro, I love your videos. I think this is the best way to learn Thai language. Just keep doing these interviews. This content really is great.
Favorite Thai Foods - Green Curry, Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goon and Boat Noodles. Boat Noodles are the best. I cannot eat spicy hot foods, they hurt my stomach. Good video Kittichai!
I love everything in Thailand ( people , food , culture, weather) when i go there i would like to eat sum tum and pad thai
I really like these videos with Thai interview objects and interviewer.
Yes Somtam and Khao Pad also my favourite even the Corn somTam is good in isaan the Temple in Petchabun is beautiful
I told you your channel would blow up Kittichai, well done, nearly 8k already.
A way to desribe nua would be like the taste meaty aroma. Like a good stew would be nua too. It doesnt have to be actual meat, MSG is found in meat and tomatoes for instance and it thats why we find it so delicious. Love your interview videos so much! I learn a lot of thai from them.

Favorite Thai food panang gai with khao swaii Yummy!!
Everything about Thai food is good. The sweet to the sour to the bitter to the spicy and the salty. Thai culture has it all cover

Glad I had Som tam while I was there last month. I really enjoyed Khao Soi too
My favorite Thai Food. Nam Tok Mu, Sum Tam, Tom Yum Gung(no smelly crab!), Kor Mu Yang, laab Mu, Mu Tod, Kuay Jab
Thanks for adding Thai subtitles. It's a great study aid.

WATCH ME CAMBODIA Do you have Som Tam in Cambodia?
Kittichai in Thailand yes I have it both in Cambodia and Thailand
I'm moving to Thailand soon, and your videos have helped me understand a tonne about the country and culture, so thanks! I don't think you live in Chiang Mai/Rai, but if you do would love to grab a drink (my treat) (also in BKK for a week!). And best Thai food? Khao Soi!
Excellent. Just wish you would generate more vlogs. Favorite food is spicy seafood in pineapple from the North!

I have never heard of Som Tam before, but I am keen to make it.......Where do I find Papaya in Melbourne????
Love Thai food and the nice Thai People.
I love the green or red chili currys with rice. Thai food is very very good
I'm a big fan of your Channel Kittichai. It's so simple but yet so lovely! I was wondering how filming around in public is perceived in Thailand? The fermented fish is the best
Nice interview.
Why did you get Kick out of the park?
They were told they need to apply for a permit to film there (7-15 business days in advance) at a cost of 6,000 bhat.
What do you have to do to get into รด
Lovely Kittichai
1) Tom Kha Gai / Goong
2) Moo Grob

Good VLOG. interesting that Som tam came up lots. I can eat it , but don't like the little crabs in it. Too much shell.....
I absolutely love Durian. The taste and the texture make it worthwhile. Smell is not that bad , but it does linger. Lots of other items that are on the top ten list.....👍
Thanks for thai sub kitti! you rule man :)
PAD THAI, PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE AND COCONUT! Greetings from neighbouring 🇲🇾
I haven't tried the food they said, yet. My favorite is Pad See Ew Chicken. My favorite Thai restaurant is Suda Restaurant on Sukhumvit 14 Alley, next to Asok BTS Station.
Before I even watched the video I knew som tam would be mentioned a lot. Thai girls love their som tam! lol
Nice video. Where did you record the interviews? Lumpini park? :)
I'd like to know as well. Where was this filmed?
It's filmed in Chatuchak Public Park.
Nua mean umami
Umami = savory/ rich in favour

Tom yum goong is the best!
3:41 spot on, they're my favs. also.
Haha
.
Thanks for the video, really a fun channel

Nice Video 👍
Nice Haircut
Good video Kittchai, thanks for that. What can you recommend me to eat as a vegetarian? Your interview partners were not vegetarians ^^ lol³ 555

You didn't understand what I meant exactly.

I love Thai food. But: sometimes there's just too much sugar in the food. Of all kinds of Thai food, central food is the one I like the least. Isaan food, Northern food and Southern Thai food are the best!
Fermented aged fish
Hoi lai! Clams in chili paste.. Sublime!
Tom Ka Gai soup!
