Just loved how in the video he was still giving it his all while only two people was there and then it jumps to a full audience. He kept going to build that audience and still gives all he’s got no matter how many people are there watching.

The underdog line is a triple meaning. An underdog is a person with a small chance but its also where someone runs under a swing when they are pushing someone. Then he says when they push me im gonna swing as in hitting them.
On the order card he took it said "Time 7/12/19 Midnight Eastern". He had announced his new song.
The CD Nate was giving to those guys inside the car is his first Album, Moments, which he released in 2010
In the beginning, the kids said "I wanna be", but he's the only one who said "I'm gonna be"
In reality he did electrical work (ran wires and houses and climb into attics and crawl spaces)
In the end you can actually understand how deep the song is: he worked so hard to achieve his lifelong dreams, he has achieved them, but after all this he is still not happy, so he has to "wear the fake smile"
Other small details: if you see clearly in the garbage bags there are the balloons
On the tag hanging on the janitor suit it says Outcast.

The ending ties back to TS when he mentioned connecting to his fans on stage but people not understanding what he deals with afterwards. At least that's where I tie it in to.

I've been following you since you started the NF-Journey and I gotta say that your videos are just great. I love the way you break down the lyrics and the visuals and how you get, and can explain the deeper meaning behind them. Keep up the fantastic work.
P.S the bad autofocus isn't that big of a deal and it didn't ruin the video, at least in my opinion.
Yeah everyone says drake and future or their director took this concept. This song was number one trending when it came out. A lot of people seen this song for sure.
He had a black balloon hidden by trash can and also grabbed at a receipt in the burger joint that had date and time of when his song time was coming out. Love the hidden eggs in this video.
Another cool thing is if you put eminem looking at hinself in mirror in bathroom with same green light in lose yourself video and NF staring in mirror in bathroom with same green light it is almost identical. He just added that black smile (fake smile he puts on for the world and wiping it off and not looking too happy) explained more in leave me alone (to me some more homage being paid as even third ernest said he got slim shady vibes with his outdoor action scene lol)

People get mad at me at times when I say this (eminems fans) but to me he made a “lose yourself” type of song for this generation. (I am not taking away from how amazing eminems song is lol that is why people get mad at this statement like i am saying one song is above the other) it is just that both songs talk about going for your dreams and not giving up.
I can definitely see how it's conparable, I think if Eminem retired after revival and this dropped I could see this having a much bigger impact. Em is still relevant at his age is WILD! But I believe NF, even though he doesnt want that fame, he will eventually get there as a bi-product of being so good at what he does.

Hey alt, I just wanted to say that I went to the search concert in Detroit and it was SO SURREAL like shivers the whole time, so good live, he took little to no breaks between songs and he is basically better in person then on video it was amazing, just the overall mood/emotion there was intense

For the end of the video: In therapy session (the song) he said: "You see me walk on these stages but have no idea what I'm dealing with after it". The last scene is actually showing that things didn't change from when he wrote therapy session even if its so long ago...

The end of the video follows the rest of his videos for the search, wiping the fake smile off. Every video he progresses with letting go, getting rid of the baggage and emotional strain. Every video the fake smile gets less, so even tho no balloons he still ties in the cinematic universe of the search. Dope videos bro, I enjoy your breakdowns of great music. Keep it up.

You said to name a better artist in this genre of hip-hop. Depends if we're talking about storytelling or lyricism. I think NF is definitely the best storyteller of the new era. In storytelling rap, Nate is definitely the top rapper. But we can't forget that NF is also in the field of lyrical rap. Eminem is definitely the top pick of mine in lyrical rap. NF is up there but he has a long road ahead of him. Although, NF and Eminem are my favorite rappers of all-time and I'm not hating on either artist. Their work is beautiful and unique in its' own way. And I'm definitely looking forward to NF albums in the future. One of my favorite NF songs is so underrated though. Intro III was an amazing track. Both Intro III and The Search are tied at number one for me. Also, I loved your reaction to this. Keep up the amazing work and stay safe during this pandemic. Hope it'll be over as soon as possible.

So you will be getting to Returns soon, this song has many references to Em, On Em's Kamikaze album (Em's Hitlist Album) he had a line NF'ing recovery clone of me. We know Em doesn't shy away from cussing so it was perceived as a shot. Nate states that Returns is not a Em diss track, and its not, but there are many lines stating his thoughts - one example and we will see if you find others -
"Shoot you out of the sky like your punchlines, you are not landing." Since Kamikaze was a japanese plane that intentionally crashed in to targets, they did not land. To me this was a genius track as it let Em know he was up for the challenge while not spurring it on. I actually think it would be much harder to through those lines in under the radar.

The underdog bar is my favorite of his to date I’d say - it’s also a double because in the US, when you push someone on a swing and run underneath, it’s call an underdog. He also sells it in the video by pushing his arms out like someone is on a swing in front of him 🔥

He also still has the false smile, that he removes when he is alone. In a way, it takes me back to Wake Up. I wanted to be a teacher. Got a degree in Economics and now have my own business. Life comes at you quickly.
The "... underdog. Yeah you probably think you know what I mean, but what I'm saying is they ever push me I'm gonna swing" line is one that not a lot of people catch. An "underdog" is a playground thing in the U.S. where one two kids work together: one pushes a target and the other is behind them on all fours like a log or barrel, that way the target falls backwards.
So when he says "if they ever push me, I'm gonna swing" it has a double meaning that he would swing from falling, but also it can be read as he's gonna swing back at whoever pushes him.
Music means everything to me ever since I was 4, my music teacher is just the meanest and says I'm not good enough. Then I tell my parents I want to be an artist and they say, "They barely get any money how are you gonna live!?"

If I was a musician I wouldn't even be there for all the money, I'd just telling my story and being there to support my fans.
NF and Eminem inspired me to be a rapper. My voice isn't quite low enough for that yet though. I'm trying to practice my high and low ranges.

Not sure if " Paid My Dues " is on your list or no but you should definitely react to it, he made it as an answer to an article by " Rolling Stones " where they kind of talked shit about him for being n°1 Sales in front of Chance and basicly NF went Savage Mode. I wanted to be a firefighter when I was a kid because thats what my dad is. Once I turned 16 and got my license, all I wanted to do was drive and wanted to drive for a living. At 21 I got my cdl-a license. Now im 27 and own my own semi truck and work for myself.
Don’t skip any! Go I order they te all so good especially the ones without a music video. And it kinda goes in order. At first it kinda addresses his mental health and then the last songs are a bit of flexing hype. Great video
