Before you react to returns which is later in the album I would recommend listening to Oh Lord because there's a line or two in it that's a call back to oh Lord and you won't get it without first listening to oh Lord.
Definitely agree with what you said regarding this song appealing to a wider audience. I feel like after Let You Down from Perception did crazy numbers then they wanted to have at least one song in The Search album which was more of a pop song that would be played on the radio 🙌🏼
This song was so good. When you have a tough marriage such as myself it rings so true. It was neat to see the reality of better times as you go backwards and reflect. Great reaction! Pride was mentioned in Why song. Also this song is platinum too.

personally, i think every nf song is impactful in its own way. him writing his own music makes it ten times more honest. there hasn't been one song where i haven't related to at least some part of the lyrics. plus, somehow it can always be interpreted in various ways. i can't relate to the marriage/relationship theme in this song, but for me, time is about love in general and how it doesn't always work out the way you want to, yet being there for each other anyway. loved the reaction by the way!! so excited you're doing the whole search album

This is actually one of my favorites of his song, not only is it relatable but I just love the whole beat, Im a sucker for break beat style drum beats, the melody is so simple and soulful and even though the rapping sections aren’t very technical they still draw me in. Its one of those songs that I listen to when I want to jam out and is a little more uplifting than his usual tracks, though I love all his other stuff also
