  • A review and demo of the Chicago Electric 1/2 inch Hammer Drill (Item numbers: 62383, 45338, 67616, 68169, 60495) which is now on clearance for $25. I tested out the hammer function of the drill using various sizes of masonry bits.

    reality for that amount of money I don’t think you can argue much about the Hammer Drill sure it’s no Bosch or Hilti SDS one but those are about 10X the price for light use , like Homeowner projects the Chicago Electric brand is generally pretty good great for drilling for Tapcons into Cement Blocks

      Well said! For work around the house this drill is great! I have had great experiences with many Chicago Electric products (including the reciprocating saw, jigsaw, oscillating tool, and this drill)

    Picked up the Warrior hammer drill today for under $8. Bought it mainly to break up some concrete chunks into even smaller pieces. Question: why does the depth stop have that bend in it? It's designed that way, there must be a reason for it.

    Could I drive 3in deck screws with this drill

      Probably better off using an impact driver for that length

      You'll have no problem screwing in deck screws, with that much power you could probably run the screw all the way through the board

    The chuck and bit keep falling off on mine then turn an hour job into 3 /4 hours
