  • Description from back of VHS case:
"ESPN's NASCAR 1999 Year in Review gives you all the thrills and action of the best of the NASCAR Winston Cup racing season, from the anticipation and thrills of Daytona to the championship ceremonies in Atlanta. Watch rivals and rookies race toward success - and stay in the action with on-screen point-standing updates and exhilarating victory lane celebrations!
Hosted by ESPN's auto racing commentator Bill Weber, the NASCAR 1999 Year in Review takes you on a heart pounding ride into the winner's circle with some of today's most phenomenal driving champs! From "golden boy" Jeff Gordon, to veteran Dale Jarrett, to the brilliant Labonte brothers, you're in the driver's seat. Experience the surprising victories, the agonizing defeats - and all the action, drama, and excitement in between!"
Well for the longest time I was hoping for someone to eventually upload this video and recently I found out that I could record VHS tapes with my 'Elgato Game Capture HD' so I thought why wait now for someone to upload this?
I'll try to upload more videos like these down the road.

I followed NASCAR religiously from 1995-2000. My teenage years. Loved most of the drivers, played all the video games. Watched the Qualifying, Happy Hour Practice and the Race every Week

Even a Nascar video has that scar flash you see on Disney videos.

Well yeah, Disney bought ESPN in 1996. So they use the same bumpers that Touchstone and Miramax tapes have. Strange they also don’t use the FBI screens though. They had time to customize a Feature Program logo but not custom logos with the trailers but the same 1994 Flashbang ones. Disney would still use these bumpers on Demension VHS tapes until 2003 despite replacing the other 90’s bumpers with the Filmreel ones. No clue if they did that to ESPN tapes.

It's shocking to see the grandstands so full. Maybe one day they'll go back to Rockingham and North Wilkesboro. Maybe if they return to their roots the stands will return to being filled.

Dale Jarrett's 29 top ten finishes in 1999 set a modern-era NASCAR record that stood until 2007, when Jeff Gordon scored 30 top ten finishes.
