Back in 1995 my first gf showed me this to impress me. And impressed I was. We immediately dated and had a punk band for a 6 months...wonder what she's doing now.
Saw this one 120 minutes as a teenager and went out and bought the cd as soon as I could! I still remember how blown away by this tune I was. It was so much better than the “grunge” and “alternative” schlock they’d usually play all day.
Producer: "Um the band didn't show up for the video shoot, what do we do?" PA: "I got some puppets in my trunk left over from a children's puppet production." Producer: "This will never work but what choice do we have, get the puppets."
The band, record label, or the video producer would probably know. If members of the band didn’t get to keep them, they’re probably in some storage locker or landfill somewhere these days.

Me too. Literally just found out who this was moments ago after jogging my brain for a memory of a music video with marionettes in it. I even partially remembered the song's melody, which is really bizarre for having only seen it once and then never again. And here I am, 25 some years later. There might've never been a better show for cutting-edge music than 120 Minutes (well, except for maybe MTV's The Cutting Edge).
I've been saying for years that Untied is my favorite Superchunk song but I'm gonna go with this one. That chorus is perfection.
Beavis: "hello everybody, were gonna have fun today."
Butthead: "Dammit beavis, pull your pants up."
This got its fair share of airplay on MTV Brazil during the 90's, miss my childhood.
This is my favorite band ever. Since 1994 I've loved these guys.

Great video......back when Mtv actually meant music television.
The likeness is sufficiently close (or at least the overall vibe is) that you could guess the band even with audio muted!
