There are times in fishing you need go another direction. The bass might not be biting but there a there fish that are. Beating a dead horse gets you nowhere. River fish are one place to head and fall trout fishing is good too. Perch, Walleye and Stripers all like cold water too. The point of fishing is having fun; I never worried what kind of fish I caught so long as I was catching something. Smallmouth bass in rivers and small streams always are busy.
