  • Trying to show new wood carvers the best burs to use to save money on trial and error, sorry the bigger shafts are 1/4 not 1/8 like I said they where in video,
    I'm not very good at making the vids, but hope it can help someone down the line. Sorry about my dremel not working, I'll make another video to show the difference with the burs

    Thank you for sharing. This was really helpful. I noticed you were fighting the camera's focus. Putting your palm right behind the little thing you're showing works really well. Those RUclips makeup girls do that to focus on mascara and stuff they're talking about. Best wishes and hopes for lots of good future videos!

  • @unlikechristina
    @unlikechristina 4 года назад +3

    I am right in there loving the cussing. Future tip, your lens will focus on the center of your over all image. It was trying to focus on your hands, not the bits because of where you held them. Air to have them center screen. Once used to it, it will be easy. Hands down, this is the most real video. Those guys who post perfect videos did 40 trial shoots first that we never saw. I want to learn about stuff from folks like me, trial and error, trying new stuff. Oh and my freaking Dremel died too!
    Good info...gonna check my brushes! You think your hands look bad. I'm a woman and we are supposed to have nice hands, but I work with stained glass too and between grinder burns and cuts...it looks like I went to war. 😄 Thanks for posting. You made me smile, and I am going to go buy the bit you suggested. Give it a whirl.

    I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer for.
    I make wooden animals. I don't have a problem using my Dremel for texture on the horses. Right now I am having a horrible time making texture on sheep. Usually I can use my sanding tip to make texture but because the sheep are so "fleecy" the sanding drums are making for very varied fleece.
    In watching this video I am wondering if you might have an idea that what I can use to to make consistent texture???

    It's just where the camera is still focused on the background (your desk). So whenever you're holding a burr up to the camera, use your hands to block out the background so your camera will re-focus.
