- Trying to show new wood carvers the best burs to use to save money on trial and error, sorry the bigger shafts are 1/4 not 1/8 like I said they where in video,
I'm not very good at making the vids, but hope it can help someone down the line. Sorry about my dremel not working, I'll make another video to show the difference with the burs
I thought I clicked on a trailer park boys video for a minute 😂 this guy is awesome 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lol ehhhh
This is exactly what i was looking for. As, someone who did carpentry and wants to get more into a carving aspect, this helps alot.
Glad u found the video
Just about to order a Foredom and stumbled onto your vids which are the most informative ones I've come across by far thanks for the great tips.Cheers from Northeast Thailand!
Thanks for the information, I'm just starting out so this was awesome to watch. 👍
LOL love the swearing about the zoom. You sold me. Cut saw extreme is the way to go for sure. Best bang for the buck.
Ur awesome mate, as a full time arborist fully relate to wear and tear hands.i just got a dremel for Xmas this video helped heaps cheers.
You did a great job with this.
Totally dig the straight forward nature of it and appreciate your honest take on things… one of my favourite parts was, “I’ll just turn the power off…”
Cheers from Down Under..!
:) THANK YOU
Thanks Jordy. I just started with the power carving, I finish with a knife. The power carving saves time and frustration and allows the use of harder wood. Started with Saber Tooth now I try the Kutsall.
Yes lots of power carvers finish the eyes with a knife, :))
Hope yer good
Thank you for info and comparison. Great info. Really good. Thanks
Thank you for sharing. This was really helpful. I noticed you were fighting the camera's focus. Putting your palm right behind the little thing you're showing works really well. Those RUclips makeup girls do that to focus on mascara and stuff they're talking about. Best wishes and hopes for lots of good future videos!
I am right in there loving the cussing. Future tip, your lens will focus on the center of your over all image. It was trying to focus on your hands, not the bits because of where you held them. Air to have them center screen. Once used to it, it will be easy. Hands down, this is the most real video. Those guys who post perfect videos did 40 trial shoots first that we never saw. I want to learn about stuff from folks like me, trial and error, trying new stuff. Oh and my freaking Dremel died too!
Good info...gonna check my brushes! You think your hands look bad. I'm a woman and we are supposed to have nice hands, but I work with stained glass too and between grinder burns and cuts...it looks like I went to war. 😄 Thanks for posting. You made me smile, and I am going to go buy the bit you suggested. Give it a whirl.
Wicked thank u
Thanks for sharing .
Cheers
Tim from Wood 4 Nothing
I looked up Ebay... (Tungsten Carbide Double Cut Rotary File)..&..Kutzall Extreem Burs !!!!
!! EXCELLENT !!
You are saving people much hassle and tool waist with this video!
I'm going with a Fordom motor drive as all I have read is these machines are the way to go, don't cut out on you. $100 on eBay shipped from US. Perhaps I'll get lucky on that, anyway great saving tips.... hope you're saving the tips on the "fangers" now. LOL. Some times you get tired of the safety educators comments. Work at your own pace and at your own discretion I say.... The dust collector is my big safety thing.. wich you have.
This guy is cool...love the way he drifts...just like me!🤗
zonianinexile the idgaf way
Was wondering about those kutzall, glad to know they're worth it. 👍
Thanks for the great guide, I'm new to the topic and the video was helpful 🙂
Hey jordy! I just ended up getting my first dremel 4000 and flex shaft based on your recommendations. Got my first project sheleighly from a buds grandpa to finish, thanks for all the great info and tips!
Wicked thank u,
Enjoy that carving
@@CarvingFusion hey jordy, just started today, its so relaxing. quick question though, sometimes when im using a tapered burr (it looks like the kutzall but dremel brand) i noticed its burning the wood sometimes. i dont know what wood it is either, im guessing a hardwood. any tips to prevent burning?
@@ChonkysWoodshop make sure ur burr not pluged up with wood and that is more of a finishing burr
@@CarvingFusion will do thanks for the tip brother! i still gotta work on my control too, hardwood isnt my ideal first project but it was a free one so i cant complain. guess ill have to shop around for a kutzall flame burr! keep the vids coming!
Great info!!!!
Thanks heaps..I just checked fleabay for the kutzall extreme 1/8in shank and it was 27 bucks plus 29bucks postage to OZ ..man it sux to buy stuff over here.
Great video!
My dermal 4000 quit, put in new brushes, nothing, took the pos apart, blew the innards out, cleaned the contacts with a q-tip and alcohol and it worked!
Wicked good to know, ty
Thanks bro. I was wondering if these worked as good as they look like they would. I'd like to see you using them! Your cussing cracked me up! Thanks for the laugh!
Yes they sure do!@
Greetings from 🇺🇸 Jodi I'm learning alot would also like to learn about the table you use. I do the carving outdoor but still get a lot of dust
Hey there u can see my table in my playlists
You get a big thumbs up for making me laugh when you get annoyed at the focus and say "Fuck". I totally felt your frustration.
Quais brocas são essas? Não acho elas
Thank you bro sharing bro. Useful information. 😎👍 also for making laugh! 🤣👍👍
Np I know u don't get anymore home made then the vids but what ever, if I can help someone save a dim then I'm glad I made the vids,
Fuckkkk :)
hello I'm Italian, where did you buy rasp cutters for dremels? amazon has only for drill .. thanks and congratulations for your work !!!
Its called a kutzall
I want this set of burs plz give information
How do I fit a 1/4" bit on the 1/8" collet
jeffpc34 u dont
Where do you find a Dremel that allows for a1/4 shaft?
U can get a master carver flex shaft, a foredom flec shaft, there is a older dremel that fits the 1/4, but there is also a newr one and i just cant think of the name rote now, if u go to the dremel sight is there under rotory carvers
There is definitely a difference, and worth the investment if you do a lot of hardwood work. Kutzall Extreme Spur Burr $17 ; Kutzall Extreme Cylinder Burr $15.00; Kutzall Extreme Ball Nose Burr $17.75 (1/8" shaft) - Amazon.
Where get it?
You are one of the best on You Tube.. Just like me... curse at everything.. LOL.. You are great my friend
Lol
You're awesome bro! Straight n to the point. Don't worry about your fingers my friend, a little lotion after the shower, it's all good
Lol rite on man, thanks
Hi iam going to carve some bear paws into Walnut. what would use?
Kutzall exteams
Thanks for this video, really cool. I'm looking for that bit but I can't find it...
Its on the kutzall sight
@@CarvingFusion I got it! Thanks
I'm confused with the shafts sizes I got a dremel 8200 with a flexi shaft and want to power carve oak wood etc and also rocks any advice what ones to get
I'm not really sure what u mean diffrent shaft sizes, u can email me a pic and I can have a look , I didnt even know dremel had a 4200,
Send me some pics of your dremel and flex shaft:
Canadian1dude@gmail.com
The thickness of the shafts is what I mean
Ohhh I c, the shaft size for the dremel on the burs is 1/8 of a inch it will say it on the sight u look at, most are rather 1/4 (bigger ones) or 1/8 (smaller ones) that fix dremel
For oak wood look up www.kutzall.com extream 1/8 burs.
For rock I would would Ebay dimond burs or Ebay 1/8 metal working burs, most will come from China and u can get a set for around $20
I’d stick with 1/8 inch. If you buy bigger they are probably for a dye grinder
Place your hand behind small objects when you want the camera to focus on them.
I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer for.
I make wooden animals. I don't have a problem using my Dremel for texture on the horses. Right now I am having a horrible time making texture on sheep. Usually I can use my sanding tip to make texture but because the sheep are so "fleecy" the sanding drums are making for very varied fleece.
In watching this video I am wondering if you might have an idea that what I can use to to make consistent texture???
Yup sure doo, im just making a video rite now showing something that willl work oerfect 4 u
I would say a wood burner
@@CarvingFusion not sure that would create the kind of texture I am looking for.
Great job and very entertaining! I am hard too please LOL! RWB
kaha se lele haua ho sar
Hi mate. Thanks for the informative video. Do you clean your burrs out using a flame or brush? Days old in this hobby and was curious. Cheers.
Hey there ya I use a torch and burn em out,
U copper brush after,
:)
@@CarvingFusion Thanks mate. 🍻
No prob man, any other questions feel free to ask,
Do t use meta wire brush because it's to tuff on the burs and dulls them,
(So they say) lol
Thanks, Jordy. Much appreciated.
@@dmiller7758 add me to fb if u want, that's where all my carvings are, and I can see urs, no biggy jordy johnson
I have a question for anyone to answer. I am making a walking stick for a friend and spirit animal is an owl. I found a small plastic owl about 1.5" and I want to inlay it into the stick. What is the best tool to use? If anyone has an answer please let me know. I need to have it done by the end of the month
Can u email or instagram me (PM) pics?
Or canadian1dude@gmail.com
@@CarvingFusion k will email you the pics
@@CarvingFusion canadian1dude@gmail.comsays is not valid

Thank you,
Where does Saburr fit in this group?
Sabur tooth are grwat burs as well
I like that swearing😂 fu.. bit..😂😂 nice video
Just got mine 3 days ago,,
Have you ever compared it Sabburtooth?
Yes 100% I have the kutzall extream is alot more agressave and hold up alot better because the little spike things are alot thicker!
Both are great brands
Great to know thanks.
Keep up the awesome
Can I use this for making a hole in a small piece of wood to make a resin wood ring using these burs?like the holes you have on your work surface? Thanks for your video!
Human Tales u should just use a drill a drill bit?
It u try using this for ur holes, it could plug up while making hole and snap the flex shaft
Carving Fusion By : Jordy Johnson I don’t have a drill, just a rotary tool, so I thought I could some how scrape a round hole in the middle of a small piece of wood?
Human Tales yes u can, just go slow and make sure u don't jam the bit in the hole
Carving Fusion By : Jordy Johnson on what Rpm do you recommend? And would you recommend these burs? Or the round/sphere ones? Thanks for your fast response!
To big for my 4000 chuck..... How do they fit in. They are more than 3..2MM.dremil
A 1/4 die grinder or a foredom,
@@CarvingFusion thank you. Have a great day enjoy your brilliant videos.. They got me onto wood spirit carving.
Thank you for the video. Question. Where do you get those bits from?
Where abouts are u? Go to kutzall.com
Www.kutzall.com
Hey man, learning a good bit on your channel! Laughing a bit at your cursing when the camera won't focus on the burrs xD
It's just where the camera is still focused on the background (your desk). So whenever you're holding a burr up to the camera, use your hands to block out the background so your camera will re-focus.
Liking the info!
MiniatureHero wicked ok thanks, will take note hope Ur getting some help from vids
When you're trying to get your camera to focus on the bits you bring up close. Block whatever is in the background. Then it will focus close up.
Sir your drimel name plz best drimel name tell me
Dremel 4000
lol, just hold your hand behind the item you want to show up close and your camera will zoom in to the primary object in the camera's eye (i.e. the dremel bit ;) ) ---- just for future reference so you can stave off some of that frustration (even though it made me laugh!)

Когда-то мечтал о такой бор машине
Чтоб из берёзовых наростов кап и корней деревьев у нас это лесная скульптура называется больше не занимаюсь этим
i had 2 dremel 4000 recently that only lasted 5 min and just quit..and i found out im not the only one ,,,dremel did nothing
Did u change the brushes?
@@CarvingFusion both were only an hour old just bought them..if you reaserch comments youl see there is a major problem there ..dremel has become less quality conscious and riding on there name..i contacted then directly they said they would take care of it and never herd from them again not even when i asked again
@@rongoodrich730 ok, I'm talking to another user and his dremel jist quit too
I am just uploading a video on the foredom flexshaft, I mentioned u in the video but sorry because of my injury I forgot your name at the time
А в Россию можно такие буры заказать
Why can’t Dremel get their shit together and make excellent burrs, like Kutzall? 😂
Lol not to sure
Kutzall.com
real people cuss ....lol
Imma show you.... oops no it aint gonna work. Wth dude?
:)
I'm not your buddy; guy!!!
Put them down on the table and focus on them there! Waving them around in the air and expecting to get a good focus is just stupid! Maybe less in the way of foul language and more in the way of actual use of the tool!
Your smart
Dude you sound like a hater.. Maybe you should go to another channel that curses less, like me because I fucking hate cursing shit I think I'm going to unsub because all the damn foul language.. Lol.. We're adults here get over it, great vid✌
