@@punawelewele I hear you. I bought a few of the original Rankin Bass holiday shows on DVD in the early 2000s, and it's nice to watch them every winter, but that magic of gathering around the teevee for one special evening... that's in the past. Same goes for the Charlie Brown programs.
To be fair, "Rudolph" and some of the other specials do air every December on network television ... from what I'm told. But I haven't had network TV or cable for a long time; too many ads, and a lot of trimming/editing of content to squeeze in more messages from Bounty paper towels or Olive Garden. Last time I saw "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" on network TV, they had cut out Jessica's song by the fountain, just to save some time.

Thanksgiving parade on in the background of a huge houseful of family, course I watched it amongst all the noise, then CBS would air the Hawaii parade, and then it was usually a Yogi Bear's Christmas cartoon that started the season of Christmas specials, course somewhere during all that they'd start yelling for the TV to be turned off, cause it was time to eat, Awwww, but once done back on went the TV, cause it was going to be another year before they would be on again!!
The bears that saved Christmas, and who knows which A Christmas Carol usually played, and you knew during the season The Greatest Story Ever Told would air as a 2 partner, and somehow we were at someone's house during the first part, but that person had it on, so then you wondered if you would be able to see the second part?!
70's & 80's actually had parties, & family to see, & go to, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, all kinds of presents, excitement, but now nothing much! 😢😞
I guess that's what I'm holding on to when I watch those old specials, and search for old Macy parade videos on RUclips!
I'm probably not the only one?
All I want for Christmas is to live 1979 Christmas day one more time! 🤗🤧

I'm also almost 52 years old, and I love watching all of these! Also the original Grinch and A Charlie Brown Christmas. I remember looking for the times when they would air on TV in TV Guide, and waiting anxiously until the TV was tuned in! If not, you had to wait another whole year before they would be on again! It always stunk when one station would show one cartoon at the same time as another one. You'd have to choose which one you wanted to watch. 😁 Good times!

Christmas movies are such a rollercoaster of emotions. One second I'm laughing, then I'm crying, then I'm scared, then laughing, then crying again. Modern Christmas movies are alright, but you can't beat the classics. Merry merry merry Christmas everyone! And a happy new year!

      𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗦
Did you know that December 25th was celebrated thousands of years before the birth of Jesus ?
Billions of people in this world celebrate Christmas as a Christian holiday, including millions of non-believers.
But if you look through every page of the Bible, then you will not find one word about Christmas being celebrated by any of God's people !
It is not even mentioned once in the whole Bible,
neither by Jesus, or by any of His apostles.
Yet on the other hand, the pagans and the heathen world observed the 25th of December for two thousands years before the birth of Jesus Christ !
December 25th was a date to celebrate the birth of the Sun god Tammuz.
Tammuz was the child of Nimrod the man we read about in Genesis 10:8-10
Nimrod was a very wicked king before God
and he was the first great King of Babylon.
After he defeated many nations and conquered them
Nimrod claimed to be greater than the Supreme God.
He commanded the whole empire to worship him as a god.
After the death of Nimrod, Queen Ishtar commanded the whole empire to worship Nimrod as Baal the Sun god.
Ishtar proclaimed that Nimrod was taken to the Sun,
and that he had to be worshipped as the Sun god.
Tammuz was the only child of Nimrod, and he was born on 25th of December.
Tammuz was a great king who always defeated his enemies.
However, he was just like his father Nimrod in doing great evil before God.
Tammuz was killed by a wild pig, and after his death Queen Ishtar commanded that Tammuz had to be worshipped as the child of the god Baal who was Nimrod.
From that time in history, it was Queen Ishtar who built a strong foundation of paganism which spread across the whole world that December 25th was a day to celebrate the birth of Tammuz, the child of the god Baal.
Thus, in paganism worshipers are worshiping Nimrod, Queen Ishtar and Tammuz.
Nimrod from that time was to be honored every Sunday as the Sun god Baal.
      Queen Ishtar on Easter.
(the word Ishtar is where the word Easter comes from).
And Tammuz was to be worshiped on the 25th December.
These are the three great holidays that were set aside to celebrate these three people who showed great wickedness before God.
Indeed, December 25th was celebrated thousands of years before Jesus was even born.
During Christmas, One of their customs was to decorate a tree.
in Jeremiah 10:3-4, God is telling us NOT to learn the way of the heathens, and not to even practice it.
For God condemns all customs of the heathens.
Yet we see these same customs existing today
and the holiday is now called Christmas with the Christmas tree.
The Scriptures describe these Christmas celebration as idolatry !
Some claim that this chapter of Jeremiah 10:3-4 refers to idols being made from the trees.
This may be true, but does God approve of trees being used to worship Him ?
Is there a command in the Scriptures allowing us to do so ?
The answer is very simple, NO !
      Isaiah 40:19 - 41:23 - 45:20 - 46:17
      Psalm 115:4-7
      Habakkuk 2:19
December 25th is always a Sun Baal worship holiday
because of the birth of Tammuz (one of the Sun gods).
Many people put the Sun, moon or the Star on top of their Christmas tree !
Some people will say that the Star on the tree represent the Star which appeared when Jesus was born in Bethlehem,
but where does the Scriptures approve of such things ?
Some people place an angel on their Christmas trees and claims that this is fine.
According to the Bible, in 2 Corinthians 11:14,
Satan Himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Putting an angel on the Christmas trees is synonymous with placing a star on top of the tree,
because both images represents light, or the Sun.
But many people claim that the angel they place on the Christmas trees is a Heavenly one.
      In Exodus 20:4, God said:
"Thou shall not make into thee any graven image,
or any likeness of anything that is in Heaven above"
Angels are in Heaven above, and God forbids having images of anything that's in Heaven above for the purpose of worship.
Heathens hate The Commandments of God because they want to worship their own gods without anyone condemning them with the Word of the Supreme God.
In Rome, December 25th was always a date to celebrate the birth of the Sun god.
In A.D 324, for the first time under the Roman Emperor Justinian (A.D. 527-565),
December 25th was first recognized as an official Christian holiday.
An old Babylonian festival played a major part in the choice of this particular day.
Paul warns us about this evil festival by these words in 2 Corinth 11:3-4
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted,
ye might well bear with him."
      (2 Corinthians 11:3-4)
Sunday worship, Christmas and Easter, have nothing to do with Jesus Christ !
These pagan festivals were MIXED with Christianity by the evil Roman Catholic Church under the authority of Satan.
Place all these festivals to the test of the Scripture,
if you are faithful to the Truth, then you will be able to see that they have nothing to do with our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is no doubt we are living in the last days,
and Satan is very desperate to control every aspect of religion so he can get worshiped by people who are ignorant of the Word of God.
Jesus is not honored through pagan ways of worship !
Jesus is only honored when we OBEY The Commandments of His Father !
And the only Holy day we were given by God is the Seventh Day Sabbath (Gen 2:2-3)
      ________________________________
According to the Book of Revelation:
The Great Whore of Babylon = The Catholic Church
The Daughters of the Great Whore = The Apostate Churches
So it's time to "Come Out of Babylon" before it's forever too late !
“And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying,
COME OUT of her, My people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
      (Revelation 18:4)

One, thank you for posting these on RUclips. I enjoy watching them year round and usually only see them on TV during the holidays. Two, Happy Holidays to you and your family. I say Happy Holidays because I know that not everyone celebrates the same holiday during winter. You may celebrate Christmas but may be non-religious. You may celebrate some other holiday or non at all. Either way I wish you well. And, lastly, the war on Christmas comments I see on this video is ridiculous. There is no "War" on Christmas. Real war is happening right now in various countries. Men, women, and children are dying. That is war. People saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" is just folks taking others into consideration. I've always said "Happy Holidays" to strangers but Merry Christmas to my fellow Church goers and family. Some people just need to grow up. SMH.

I grew up watching these Christmas shows. They always made me happy. When my husband was alive we use to watch them together. Now in my 50’s they still make me happy

I am 56 yrs old & these movies bring back so many cherished memories of my childhood. I have them on DVD & when feeling nostalgic for happier times I play them to lift my mood.

1:53:30 The segment of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" with Jessica's song and all the psychedelic animation that accompanies it is the best part of all of these. It was and still is my very favorite, anyway. Great song completely unlike the rest of the movie, and love that it has nothing to do with Christmas!

      Same!
It captures a lot of the imagery of the late 60s early 70s.

A lot of the 'new' Christmas shows are about falling in love. I can see that junk every day.

Thank you, for 2 1/2 hours of WONDERFULNESS and pure nostalgia!! OMG, bless you for posting these faves! Have just shared with my 3 siblings, (ages 52-62), and their children, who I KNOW, will share with their kiddos! They are classics! And tho most are still around, I have found it very hard to find "The Little Drummer Boy." Again, thank you, so much!!!

These remind me of Christmas at my grandma’s when we used to decorate sugar cookies and the cousins used to come over
I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday this year!

I have been loving these stories since I was a little girl. The Drummer Boy was and still is my favorite Christmas story. Too bad it's only played only at Christmas time. The birth of Jesus is the true and real reason for this season. Giving gifts from your heart no matter how small or big or how low or how high the gifts cost, it's the love of giving from your heart. That is why Jesus was born to give and share love, for He died for all of us, cause He loves us all, but He rose on that 3rd day and He still lives. He's coming soon for the ones that loves, faith and trust in Him. He's the Son of the living God. Merry Christmas everyone and a blessful New Year 🌲❄️🌟

😊 This was always my fav nostalgic claymation cartoons! Everytime around the holidays I start looking for them on tv! Now I find myself looking for them here on RUclips! Ty very much for uploading this! I cry Bc I feel the warmth & joy of being a kid again! (Especially lil drummer boy) Bc my kindergarten teacher gave me that role in school! I still remember being on stage nervous, but seeing everyone’s faces light up with cheer!😊❤
