I don’t want to take away from the musicianship of any EDM artists but this just seems so much more respectable than spinning some turntables. 2:53 in is 🔥
Instant click. Nailed it again man. Looking forward for your next liveset jam 🥃 And like more people mentioned, love the false drop in the transition too ; )
That’s awesome to hear! So happy that a lot of people are digging that. And yeah, currently working on some new music but after that I will be getting ready for upcoming live sets. Some new gigs coming up in summer here in Germany :)
dang bro, this is fire. 🔥🔥🔥 Keep it up Miles! I've been following you for a couple of years now and your craft just keeps getting better! Also that transition at 2:42... *chef's kiss* 👌
Wow this is so awesome to hear! Thanks for being part of that journey for such a long time, I appreciate it so much. Excited to explore together with you in the future!
Man, I learn so much from listening to you and watching you create. I write orchestral music, so this style is so alien and exciting to me! Great work!
This just popped up on my Spotify Release Radar and had me popping hard! I had no idea it was you, and when I saw your name I had to write this - you've come a long way! Such a great build and groove. I'd love to know how you made those rhythmical breathy chords, so emotive!
Wow thank you so much! Always makes me happy when people who have been around for quite some time are also digging the newer music I make. :) Means a lot! And on the rhythmic chords I actually made them with Ableton’s Wavetable synth and the rhythmic comes from a combo of envelope shaper and utility device. I will have a quick tutorial on that coming out this Thursday :)
I came here looking for some sub25 sounds and fell in love with your music. All the non arp stuff is coming from the ableton push(?) thing, correct? Well done! Keep it coming!
I still use it a lot (just did today) but I removed it from my live setup because Overbridge was too unreliable. Now I have a little dawless work stream to get creative with and then record into Ableton to embed in the live performance- works great :)
Thank you so much! Although I have to say I’ve seen DJs who blended 3 or even 4 tracks together to create something completely new and unique - I love a good DJ set like this
Hi! I used to be able to control my Moog synthesizer using a pre-made MIDI file just like in your video, but suddenly it stopped working. Could you explain your setup and any specific settings needed to make this work? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you!
Hey, sorry to hear that, getting MIDI figured out always is a pain. My Sub 25 is getting MIDI via USB, so I have a USB cable that connects the Moog and my audio interface or (when I play live) the Moog and the Push 3. In Ableton Live I use an external instrument device on the Sub 25 MIDI track - in this device I can just set the according MIDI channel that I set the Sub 25 to receive MIDI on and the audio channel to which the Sub 25 is connected on my audio interface - and then it just works very smoothly with no hiccups.
Thanks for supporting what I do! “Ease” is out now, find it on Spotify here: open.spotify.com/track/6YYoqAFveC0ZpGgQ2AlNOo?si=db84f13e83e04714

3:22 loooooove that build and that little false drop in the transition. Those little details are what makes your stuff so good.
Thanks a lot Matt! Yeah I like this drop and transition a lot, was super fun to create. Glad that it comes through!!

Thanks Yaroslav, glad you dig it :)

Thanks so much! And yeah exactly - the Moog is playing the arp, all the rest is coming from Ableton Live and is controlled via the Push
What is the device next to the Moog?
That’s the Ableton Push 3

Who needs a DJ when you can do this....makes mixing tracks seem lame and talentless
