My God, what have I stumbled upon? This is the kind of atmospheric dub I have been yearning for since I can't remember. What an incredible masterpiece, along with many others. Eargasm to the moon. Hats off to you and all the magic you create. Thank you and I look forward to many more.
I understand ambient and dub, but I'd kinda like to know what ambient dub techno means. Is it because of the steady kick? Apologies for not being "with it".
@@chriscopeman8820 I would say less focus on drums and more on sound design (some don't even have drums), longer drifting dub chords instead of short stabs, it's way more chill and atmospheric than most dub techno stuff, but I understand your question because it's very hard to draw a line.
I am a big fan of your music, State Azur. I like most the music you make without the ritmic loops, just plain ambient. Like the first 2:20 and the last 2:00 of Artificial Origins II. Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing all your music, it is a true gift every day. So kind of you!
Amazing textures and an evolving atmosphere that is very organic, not anywhere does it feel forced or artificial, you elevate this art, man, the progenitors of Space would be very proud I think
J'adore votre music, j'en faisais dans les années 90 mais je pense que je vais n'y remettre car ça me transporte et emmène dans des univers merveilleux. Merci de me faire rêver à nouveau 😁
State Azure, you are a creator of ones state of mind, I'm a big fan, although I won't say I love every track you produce, but the ones I do love, like this DOPE BURNER PIECE OF ARTISTIC BRILLIANCE. Dolphin Dance is another fave. There's plenty more, like Love on a real train is better than the ORIGINAL. You captured the essence of what that track IS. PS. Rebecca De Mornay is every mans fantasy, particularly whilst listening to the Risky Business soundtrack, I replaced the original soundtrack with your cover.
How dare you fill my brain with celestial trips to dimensions that will remain immortal forever? I can not stop listen to it...! Get me outta here, get me out...!
One of the things I really appreciate about your music, aside from enjoying the sounds, are the levels. Your mixes are so good. Do you use anything particular to mix the levels? Is it mostly experience with each instrument or sound source to know how loud or soft it is?
Thanks, Brian! It's just down to experience mixing tracks for a decade or so, I don't always get it right. The modular stuff forced me to improve my mixing even further, because it's all summed down in rack to a single stereo output, so if I screw any of that up it's a real pain and I have to start recording all over again. I just use my ears, and check levels. There's a module on the final output to attenuate the low frequencies a bit, so that helps too.
@@stateazure Ah, had not considered attenuating at the end. I have a WMD Performance mixer and I use their MSCL as a stereo bus compressor. I'm just now getting to a point of including other hardware through the mixer. Thought about a mixer like the SSL Six but I don't want to have to carry around too much gear when performing live. Thanks so much for the reply and info. Really enjoy your music.
Forgot to ask. The vinyl little crackle sound... is that part of a sample or does it exist has an option on the fx aid? Been thinking about just using a vinyl crackle sound sample to apply to whatever when I want that element.
@@blindianajones It's just a sample that comes with Native Instruments' Una Corda piano library, there's a bunch of useful ambient sounds you can load up in there.
This is very neatly mixed. There's no compressor used before sending to DAW? Maybe that's due to the samples loaded from the Assimil8or being compressed in first place... anyways, gonna add this one to my favs, well done (again!) mate.
Thanks! It's always important for me to try and get the mix as good as I can get it, especially because the eurorack layer is a single stereo out. All of the eurorack stuff is going through a stereo compressor module, but I used fairly light settings there with a somewhat slow attack to preserve transients. The Octatrack output is on a different layer, and mostly had percussion loops the bass. Compressor, limiter and master EQ done in post.
It's gotta be a unique track when nobody can give u a tip as to similar tracks they know of hey? I looked at your question and it's one I thought I'd like to know the answer also but NO REPLIES!! WOW. That's a spin I gotta say.
I knew it... OMG that's solid, you the real deal in my eyes 👀 and he finds time to respond to comments. Euro rack for life, I got the bug. Ambient for life... Your really interesting.
That's your ONLY issue though yes? I'm sure you will agree that almost all of State Azures tracks should have extended versions. His best stuff can sometimes take me through the Cosmos, AWESOME experience when it does.
This one has got to be my second favorite by you. Titan is number one for me. Amazing piece of work buddy.
Love the breat/rhythm on this track, liquified foot tapper...
This is needed fuel to this wonderful world....

Wow, this must be so therapeutic for him........
This one is SO good. Thumping!!
Re-living my Ibiza chillout days... 100% Lounge. Love it.
absolutely stunning man, I'm so into ambient dub techno lately and this hits the spot, thank you.
Cheers, Marcos. Glad you approve!

it's so big with atmosphere and small, subtle melodies. immerse and float in a moment. this track has the moments - so beautiful ...🙆♂️🎵🎵🎶🎵
Thanks so much!
I always hear your tracks when I play destiny 2. The music fits better than the game itself.
Thank you for the many hours of chillout music
Thanks, Torsten!
Destiny 2 + StateAzure = ❤
Rarely are techno pearls, but as always perfect. Super sounds while listening in the car. THANK YOU !!!
was totally not expecting this. you nailed it with the comment about atmosphere being important... and...this was perfect.

Love it, like the dub lite feel to it.
Truly epic. You have outdone yourself on this track!!
This was absolutely amazing. This took me away. One of your best.
I wanna purchase this, please upload it to your Bandcamp!
