@@williamemmelliv926 He also doesn't mention that in the Sea Pro when you are running all of the water goes to a central exit that creates a suction that actually vacuums the water out.
Very informative video. I can see the ways that the Robalo edged out the Sea Pro, but it was pretty predictable which way he was leaning when I noticed the Robalo sweater. lol

They're both nice boats. I like the layout much better on the Robalo and it really is a much bigger boat than the Sea Pro. The pressured live wells on the Sea Pro are fantastic. The Robalo T top supports are bigger and better layer out. The Sea Pro front entry angle provides a SMOOTH ride in choppy water. The Robalo isn't as sharp of an entry angle. For me, I've been leaning Robalo Cayman for 2 yrs now but just can't let go of the money.
I looked at both of these boats and bought the Sea Pro 248. I didn't like how Robalo doesn't allow space for a bow casting chair with their deck design. I also don't like the heavy branding/logos all through the design. The transom design wasn't as good for a swim platform. Finally the Robalo just looked too chunky and kind of cumbersome for skinny water.
@@benmcneil2692 And yet the Robalo drafts 12" and the Sea Pro 15". The Robalo is more capable due to that "chunky" design off shore on good days. Most salt water guys don't use a bow seat unless you're a tournament tarpon fisherman. And I'm guessing Robalo Cayman owners are proud of those "heavy branding". Again, they're both great options but the Robalo is just more boat for the same money.
I was shopping for 24' bay boat last year, the Sea Pro was one of the four I was looking at and the dealer I purchased my boat from has just switched to Sea Pro. I really like the dealer but I will have to go elsewhere when I decided to trade my bay boat. A few things turned me away from Sea Pro, the hardware didn't seem to be high quality but my main reason for turning away from it was access to bilge and pumps. The Robalo looks like my bay boat access, remove the bench seat and crawl into bilge area to access everything.
@Fresh Mann - I actually went on a sea trial on a new sea pro 24' with Yamaha 300, smoothest riding bay boat I have driven. Plus with sea pro, cuts through the chop very well, pressurized livewells, all sea pro boats with larger engines come with power assist hydraulic steering (maneuvers like a sports car), the 2021 24' bay now has a step down into console to gain more head room (space for porta-potty), plus most sea pro boats come on Ameratrail trailers (quality built). The only con for me on the sea pro is accessing the bilge area for servicing pumps, power assist steering pump and changing fuel/water separator filter. They have hatches in stern and in storage compartments to access pumps but defiantly not easy compared to some other boats. I suggest any boat you look at, tell the saleman you want to see access to all pumps and filters so you can see how easy or difficult access will be. My sportsman masters 247 bay boat is a quality built boat. Flip up the bench seat and have access to every pump and filter on the boat. My next boat will be another 24' sportsman and I will add power assist steering or a 24' sea pro if I can convince myself to deal with access to pumps. This comes from me having a bass boat for years, having to stick arms down in small hatches to change pumps pretty much by feel. Couple things that turn me away from the Robola is weight (fuel economy), 246 cayman is 3800 lbs, sea pro 24' 3000 lbs, sportsman 24' 2750 lbs. I don't care for the front open console, nor do I care about the casting deck, just me but I need a fishing boat with large casting deck. Robolo tested top speed with evinrude 300 was 46.5 mph, Mine with yamaha 300, hydraulic jackplate, 70 gal fuel, fishing gear, 2 men will run 60. Good luck with your search!
@Fresh Mann - Really the only negative I have with Sportsman is the pre-installed Garmin electronics. The Garmin works great but I had Simrad evo unit on previous boat and like it much better. I got the 2019 sportsman in Fall 2018, not one pieces of stainless hardware or fasteners have shown rust or corrosion, always used in saltwater! Not many manufactures can claim that. Check this out for bilge access, you will see a vertical piece of starboard that lifts out for full access, this along with quality construction and components makes sportsman a great option. ruclips.net/video/_FF_57Re3eA/видео.html
If I could afford either one of these boats they would both be great choices. Seems a little like: a. Your separating yourself from Seapro as your transitioning to Ronaldo. Or b. Selling both and giving your personal opinion to perspective buyers. If the latter is true and I were Seapro, I’d pull all my inventory from your lot🤷♂️
The Sea Pro none skid deck is NOT slick at all, I use one every week. That diamond pattern on the Rebalo is slicker, but easier to clean. That Sea Pro live well...amazing design, the Rebalo livewell will be splashing water out everywhere is my guess, sea pro's is completely sealed . Sea Pro hull and finish is superior to Rebalo...one of my main reasons for getting Sea Pro. Rebalo is just big and bulky for me, not to mention kind of ugly lol. I can bet ya one thing, they will not come close to matching customer service Jimmy and Jamie offer at Sea Pro. They have come and picked my boat up at my house to fix something before, and always there to answer questions. Also, who wants a motor right in your way on the back deck, I like the Sea Pro back deck much better. Bet the Rebalo doesn't have that main drain system that sea pro has (sorry, can't remember what it is called). If your looking for a family play boat, Rebalo might work?? I picked a Sea Pro 248 over Rebalo multiple times for several reasons, and I'm someone who actually use them, and have had boats from 13 to 46 years old. :) Actually running 10 miles off fishing this week in the Fl. Keys, and the winds are 12 to 15 mph.... rough out there, but it is getting me there and back! Sea Pros are solid boats!
obvious he is a robalo salesman. the sea pro does come with arm rest to keep you in the boat on front but he left that out. its funny because he put them side by side so he could see what he could nit pick lmao I have no dog in the fight but this is typical shady sales man stuff. both these boats are just fine and all boats are going to do things better than the others.

I agree they are both fine boats. I would like to see Robalo do a pressurized live bait well though.
What is the cost difference between Robalo and Sea Pro? How much more for all the extras?

Whats the price on the Robalo as it was in the video?
