    Some benefits of eSIM are theft prevention and water resistance.

    I’ve switched over to eSIM when I got the 14PM. It was definitely a smooth transition for me. I’m from uk and the qr codes are free from the carrier and activation was almost instant. But I got it for the security of not having my sim taken out if my phone got stolen.

    Don't know what is going to happen when the e-sim becomes the standard and what the influence on the carriers.
    I am using the same Physical SIM for 14 years and is passed through 2 dumb and 5 smart devices. It had seen Windows Phone, Symbian, some proprietary Motorola OS and many Android versions. It was cut from mini to micro to nano and somehow still works.

    Idk about all of you but my carrier is W. eSim and physical sims are the same here, from coverage (available in every country) to prices. Exactly the same.

    • @Flop666
      @Flop666 5 месяцев назад

      lmao are you dumb? it's not about plan or coverage, it's about transfering that eSIM to another for example. in my country you can transfer eSIM only with one of three carriers.

    Well, isn't it typical of Apple to introduce another phone with eSIM technology? Whether we like it or not, it's like they're on a mission to push us into the future. Who cares if the rest of the world needs to be fully prepared for this technological marvel? Apple knows best, right? Even more amusing is that while they claim eSIMs are the future, they conveniently keep selling iPhone 15 Plus and Pro models with suitable old-fashioned SIM card trays in select countries. It's almost as if they're hedging their bets or maximizing profits. Yet there are at least 14 counties where you can purchase your iPhone 14 or 15 with a sim card tray. Hmm, how ironic. Could Apple's cozy relationship with the big three U.S. carriers - AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon - have something to do with this decision? After all, why cut off the revenue stream from those sweet, lucrative carrier partnerships when you can have your eSIM and your traditional SIM, too? It's all about the bottom line, folks. Welcome to the Apple reality distortion field, where innovation and profit margins go hand in hand
