Emelie you are very lucky you live in a country whose laws on Knives is so relaxed, not so Scotland as here we have a limitation of 2.5 inch blade length and anything above it needs a license to prove what its meant to be carried for. Cheers for sharing a lovely day out!

I’m subscribed to many bushcraft channels run by people from all over the world. I’ve learned many valuable things during my bushcraft journey, but the most important lesson is that people, regardless of their country and culture, are far more similar than they are different.
Great video. Thanks for sharing your day with us.

Great to see events like this being supported. We have several in the UK. Some feature specialist/celeb speakers etc. some aim at more of a crafts/equipment and/or seminar orientation. Others are mainly aimed at the social 'meet-up' aspect which enable people who often met through the Bushcraft and wider Crafts on youtube to meet in person. The social meet ups are sometimes the only time many people meet face to face, so are invaluable.
It is great to see more and more getting involved , whichever country they might live in .
As long as we all remember the prime motive as being respecting and protecting the places we go to so we can 'go bush' ... :)

Hello Emelie, if you haven't already heard of him, you might be interested to learn about a man by the name of Richard Proenneke, who became something of a legend during his lifetime and perhaps even more so since his death. He was born and raised in Iowa, but spent a good portion of his life living in the Alaskan wilderness full-time, year-round and mostly alone. As survivalists go, Proenneke was demonstrably among the best and I think few would find fault with that statement. Living completely alone and isolated from the world, while remaining in good overall physical and mental health is a challenge few could meet the way he did. Keep up the good work, by-the-way; I always enjoy your videos and look forward to the next.
    Brian

I would have enjoyed being there at that festival and checking out the hardware, and camping gear they had there. I live in a rural area in Arkansas and love it too since I don't have to be around the city dwellers whom you can't trust. I was taught by my grandfather how to survive off the land for most of what we need and before I retired I purchased my first tractor and recently purchased another one last year and learned how to make the fuel for it from cooking oil which can be obtained from restaurants locally.

Very nice. Kind of reminiscent of the Mountain Men's yearly "Rendezvous" during the early 1800s here in the Pacific Northwest US. Of course, none of us alive today ever attended one, but there were contemporaneous accounts written about them, so we have a good record down through history. There are people whose hobby it is to re-enact the Rendezvous encampments and activities. Bush craft skills are everywhere at such re-enactment camps, since that is the knowledge base and survival skill set they possessed during the early 1800s. It must have been a lot of fun to attend the festival in Sweden. Good of you to interview some of the participants. Stay safe out there. Cheers.
