Exploit the Item Mechanism to Get Better Items | Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

With this simple technique, you can stop getting coins and get bananas, green shells or even bombs!
This trick makes use of the mechanic that Nintendo doesn't allow player to hold 2 coins at the same time, which means if you hold a coin when getting another item box, you are guaranteed to get a better item.

Also note that keeping your coin is useful when you already have 10 coins, if you get hit by something it'll be faster to get back to 10 coins
