- Alongside new characters, the Mario kart 8 deluxe booster course pass surprised us by adding 17 brand new mii costumes completely out of the blue. That brought the total to 39 different outfits and I thought it would be fun to rank them all from the worst to the best! Some costumes represent characters from other franchises like Zelda, Kirby, or even Sonic and some costumes represent characters from within the Mario series. The DLC costumes even get unique tricking animations! So join me as I rank all 39 mii costumes in Mario kart 8 Deluxe

I love the Mii suits, but if you could remove the helmets they’d be perfect. Definitely an option only but sometimes it doesn’t feel like you get to see anything BUT the suit

Great video Odyssey. The Pac-Man mii outfit is definitely my favorite. The Bowser mii outfit is a close second. It just needs a pair of pink sunglasses, then it would be really cool.

Since the only amiibo I actually own is the Light Blue Yarn Yoshi (which I only got because I thought it looked cute, not knowing it was an amiibo), the Yoshi Suit will always have a special place in my heart!

Can we take a moment of silence for our man Waluigi who didn’t get a Mii Costume despite having an amiibo and a Mii Outfit in Mario Kart Tour, which is where all the new Mii Outfits come from. My man got owned.

Fun Fact: The Castle mii outfit actually has 2 antigravity trick animations, depending on whether you are on a kart or a bike. If you are on a kart, you will see the animation Odyssey showed in the video, but if you are on a bike, he will have the trick animation similar to the ? Block mii outfit. As far as i know this is the only mii outfit that has 2 different antigravity animations

Exactly. I mean, I’ve heard of people hating Peachette and Baby Rosalina, but why OG Rosalina? I guess it’s because she somewhat replaced Pauline's spot in the female Mario character that Nintendo might use for a spin-off, but she was basically dormant since the OG DONKEY KONG.
I think it could be because he doesn’t like super Mario galaxy? Maybe?
I also hate Rosalima but I don't even know why. I just don't like her for some reason

I remember you made a video about ranking all of the Mario Kart 8 items in the racing mode, not battle mode. The item roster for battle mode (specifically Balloon Battle, Renegade Roundup, Coin Runners, and Shine Thief) is slightly different and I imagine how useful an item is depends on each battle mode as well, and probably differs from the racing mode.
So yeah, I’m suggesting a possible item ranking for the battle modes.

To this day I'll never understand why Daisy was the only character to get an amiibo costume post MK8D (I know the Splatoon one wasn't in the original 8, so I can't say only amiibo costume added since they first debuted). Waluigi, Piranha Plant, and the cat Mario/Peach amiibos could have unlocked the mii racing suits from Tour that represnted them (there's a generic cat racing suit that either Mario or Peach could have unlocked). It really goes to show how much Nintendo hates Waluigi, though.
As a Dasiy fan, I am fine with this choice. It really feels like Nintendo went out of their way to make Daisy an "important" character that needed an amiibo racing suit.

*FINALLY! A TIER LIST WHERE KIRBY ISN’T HARRASSED FOR BEING LOW TIER!* 300% like chance from me. I always loved the Mii costumes that looked back at you, and Kirby (even while also being my 2nd favorite Nintendo character) also went extra by including extra on the front side of the helmet and his outfit, so I’m glad I’m not alone putting him top tier. Even still, I cannot disagree with Captain Falcon, easily my 2nd place anyways. Peak!

The Captain Falcon outfit doesn't add a Falcon Punch trick animation, 0/5 fuzzies
As someone who uses the Captain Falcon amiibo racing suit for his Mii, I definitely would've loved a Falcon Punch trick animation.

6:23 HUGE SPLATOON NERD HERE , The logo on the back of the miis clothes is from a clothing brand called squidforce, which is also the brand that sponsors the turf war and ranked gamemodes ingame! It makes perfect sence that their logo would appear since they probably sponsored kart racing too
Also, while it was said in the video, the specific mask that is referenced on the front of the hemet is called "paintball mask" and is made by a brand called forge, their logo is visible at the centre top of the mask( black circle eith yellow n white in it). But what WASNT pointed out is that the green squid on the right side of the helmet is from the base ability the paintball mask carrys called comeback, which is an ability that boosts your movement and refills your ammo faster to help you win, which parallels to what a mario kark comeback would be like, getting speed items and tripple shells (ie more 'ammo' faster) to make a comeback and win
Therefore you should redo your ranking and put the inkling outfit at no.1 😊 /lh

I think the default outfit looks good and it is more suited for a racer due to its simplicity. Plus, the dolphin outfit is my favorite outfit of them all. I like the trick animation.

A funny thing about Tour is that all the Mii costumes have a trick animation that references the original character, why MK8DX didn’t do this? Beyond me, but it was a massive missed opportunity

6:44 Elaboration: the specific helmet it’s based on in the Paintball Mask by Forge, a 3-Star piece of Headgear that’s been around since the OG Splatoon! Better yet is that the OG headgear’s Ability is Comeback- which fits a racer quite well!

The PAC-MAN Mii Racing Suit is my favorite. The Captain Falcon Mii Racing Suit is my second favorite. The Chain Chomp Mii Racing Suit is my third favorite.

I do like cosmetic stuff in games like costumes. In MK8 there are an lot of very basic ones, but it is something, and do remember i used to like the Bowser one a lot, it was the first one i saw/used that was not so super basic
Dolphin Outfit is definitely my favorite one. I also love the Sonic, Mega Man, Samus, Captain Falcon, and Fox ones too. Great video, dude!
I do like to splatoon outfit because it almost looks like a motorcross outfit which is kind of fitting for a racing game

Funny enough, because of the Maze details and PAC-MAN sprite, it’s actually why I like the Mii costume the least compared to Sonic and Mega Man. Since the other two tried looking like Sonic and Mega Man, while the PAC-MAN feels more generic with less effort put into it. The glowing animated PAC-MAN sprite is pretty cool ngl.
I mean, what could you do for pacman? He's a circle with a piece cut out, not much there.
@@Bryce_the_Woomy_Boi PAC-MAN World’s PAC-MAN design does exist. It’s what was used in Smash and the Smash Amiibo, which is what’s used to unlock the PAC-MAN race suit.
But if we were just talking about the in game Arcade design, then sure, this is fine. It’s either this or a mostly generic yellow race suit with potentially two dots for eyes.
(I normally capitalize PAC-MAN btw. Because for some reason Google automatically capitalizes PAC when I spell it out)

The Spitoon helmet makes the mii look like they're ready to go off roading.
The Mii costumes weren’t out of nowhere.
They were ported from tour just like the other dlc characters and just like them they didn’t add all the Mii costumes.
Broooo, i main the Captain Falcon combo. Medium Mii with the Captain Falcon amiibo racing suit, Blue Falcon kart, red roller wheels and paper glider both online and offline ever since i unlocked the Blue Falcon kart and the suit using my Captain Falcon amiibo. I've gotten W after W online using it cuz i'm a proud die-hard F-Zero fan and always will be. I even posted some videos on my channel racing with this combo, so it really does my heart justice seeing the Captain take the #1 spot.
I don't have the dlc or any amiibo so my suit is last place 😭

The pattern on the Animal crossing helmet does actually have some layers to it! Its lifted from Isabelles scooter/the City Tripper bike, first appearing in this game, and being an obtainable furniture item in the mobile game Pocket Camp

Actually the Ice Cream Mii suit is from the 2022 Sundae Tour which is my all time favorite Mii costume ever. Also the Chef Mii bringing out all that cake 🎂
