What are your thoughts if you had made the cabinet doors to slide back on the outside of the exterior cabinet? Seems like this would have allowed you to build normal shelving on the inside.

I considered that but I really wanted to be able to have the broom hanger on one side and I thought I might need a handle on the other. Turns out the handle isn't really necessary to move it around.

What pocket door hardware did you use? Would you use it again?
Getting ready to set up my shop, but also have plans for a cabinet similar to this in our kitchen remodel. Might as well try it out in the shop first!

I had some of the plywood from a previous project so I just had to buy the 2x4s, door wood, casters, and hardware. I think it was around $200 total.

Where's the portable AC unit storage?

That would have been a nice addition. Especially on the peak summer days. The garage can get brutal and sometimes has little airflow. 🥵

First of all it's a very well thought out design...you definitely have skills...secondly you are methodical...
But I must say...no matter how smart, methodical, funny and let's face it sexy...those flip flops are dangerous and need to go...you are working with heavy and dangerous objects...you should be wearing composite shoes or steel toes...
