How to DIY the ultimate 4x8 workbench with tools, power, and dust separator vacuum included. - Хобби
Everything about this table is great. I plan to use many of your ideas on my own table. Well done sir!
Awesome! Thank you!
This table is truly inspiring for me. I am getting into woodworking and my space is very limited. This will definitely help me save space and time.
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
Really creative dust collection solution. Nice organization of the tools. I will be using some of these in my build.
Awesome, Glad to hear that!
This is nearly perfect!! I LOVE this table design
Thanks so much! 😁
Great video and I liked the build video even more. Thank you! I recently added an automatic switch to my vacuum system and it’s magic. The tools plug into the switch as does the vacuum system. When any of my tools are activated the vacuum automatically comes on. My switch is adjustable and I have it set to run an additional 3 seconds after the power tool is off to clean the hoses. Anyway thought this maybe something you could add to your already awesome table.
Thank you. Yes, I'd like to add a similar switch but one that is over cord amp sensing so I can have the vac and tool plugged into different circuits, which may be unnecessary.
Thanks for sharing this. Great job with this bench!
Thanks. Any time!
Great idea! Working on something similar base on your inspiration. One tip on your electrical, per code you should never have multiple circuits powering into the same electrical box. You don’t want current flowing back into a 2nd circuit in case of a short in the box.
Thank you and thanks for the info!
I agree. He can run the second circuit direct to the switch box for the vacume.
Well done.
Thank you!
Hot dog. That's great!
Chimichanga 😎🐧
great video,, i just purchased the plans , but has no mention on how you flip up and hold the tools
Door hinges are used on the center facing end of the tool frames. On the front side the barrel latches hold them in their upright position. The parts are listed on the hardware page.
Thanks for making this. This directly answers my previous question regarding how the power is being supplied. Do you happen to have a link to the male portion of the connection?
You're welcome. One viewer commented that different circuits should not be wired to the same box so you might want to separate the vacuum outlet and switch with the the rest of the tools. When dealing with electrical its always good to consult an electrician... I got my cord ends from home depot but here is a link for something similar from Amazon. amzn.to/3bOdjzz
Hey man I watched the whole build video. Great job man. I researched for months on an all in one workbench and finally built
Mine in January.
I wanted to ask where you got that router drop in plate? I’ve been looking Craigslist and OfferUp for old cheap router tables to repurpose the top off of cause on one end of the bench I want to drop a router in similar to yours there. The plate you got looks perfect. Where did you pick it up? Thanks PC
Thanks I appreciate that. I got the plate from Amazon. Check the distance between your mounting screws first I found that a lot of them were pretty small.
How effective was the dust collection on this build? Any issues or upgrades you have done since then. Also any chance you can throw in a video of how you did the lift mechanisms for each tool. I know this is a year old, but want to use this concept in my garage, but need to account for dust collection and wondering if one shop vac was enough or should I incorporate two that are split between the machines.
I do need to make a recap soon and I'll include that. The shopvac/dust collection isn't too bad but I want to redesign it and use a better vac.
So, you’re running straight form the breaker box (dedicating a breaker for each outlet) to the outlet in the bench? Just want to make sure I understood that right? If so, I’m wondering how you move the bench around?
I connect two extension cords directly to the bench when it is in use. Each cord plugs into different circuits in the garage.
@oarDIY What is the other yellow wire/cable going into the box for?
The box I made is fed by two separate circuits. Hindsight someone recommended not running two separate circuits to a box so its always best to consult a certified electrician. In my case I have the vacuum and tools on separate circuits (breakers) in my house.
@@phillipreborn Thank you again for a quick response. Good luck with your RUclips channel and your projects.
Was that vacuum strong enough for your dust collection system?
Its not bad!
What model and type of table saw is that?
An older Ryobi 10 inch portable table saw.
