    E60 in general has a lot of grip in the snow which makes it very good for going fast and still have good control over the car. I've gone 120kph+ in the mountains drifting with my beater E61.

    You should consider that your E60 was kinda cheap. Cheap E60=expensive fixes. I own 2005 525d just like your and I had almost no troubles at all for almost 2 years. Only the bluetooth module died and voltage regulator (?). I am not sure how is it called in English but its mounted on the alternator. Easy fix and I paid something around 50€ for OEM valeo part. The biggest problem of the E60 is previous owners. This car does not like shortcuts, but actually it is not as bad as some people say. Especially the M57 engine is brilliant

    That cold start had some misfires for the first few seconds 😁

      Theres no missfires in diesel. Glowpugs just not equally good in every cylinder so 1 cylinder wasnt probably hot enough to light the fuel immediately but after other cylinders kept it running it started to fire aswell eventually.

    Egr thermostat, you will not be able to get working temperature without internals in thermostat, you will get max around 77 degrees...

    that is the EGR thermostat, you should not open it from the clip

    Love the series, have you checked glowplug codes? seemd a bit hard to start (i know its cold but still) and often if there are 3+ "faulty" glow plugs then its often the module and not the actual plugs. Im replaceing mine over the holiday on my m57... -20c was to much with only two working glowplugs x)

      the funny thing i had couple days ago, i had 5 error for plugs and as you explained i figured its probably module, i bought it for 60euros and guess what ? They 5 plugs still were not working! HAHA, it was literally 5 plugs dying over autumn basically all at once, so had to buy that as well.. Well, it's curse of owning a bmw.

    İf you want to close the traction control (dtc,dsc) completly you hold the dsc button or dtc 10 seconds long

    I had problems with rear lights and it was the footwell module, had to be reset. Worth a check before you buy new parts, i fixed my problem for free in 15 minutes with inpa.

      @@FahreFilms I've had no reverse lights and a break light, all of them fixed by resetting short circuit errors in the footwell module. I have other issues with the car but are not related to this. Honestly I can't tell if your problem could be related to this, I'm relatively new to bmws so still learning the tricks. But definitely worth a try to check.

    do yourself a favour. remove the EGR system all together, swirlflap delete kit and get a downpipe. from my experience it removes alot of heat and corrosion from the front of the engine aswell as improving flow trough the entire system!

    Maybe the car needs a Comfort module replacement? since it seems to go nuts? idk worth a try i guess

    Don't buy that part new, It's an EGR thermostat and if you're gonna delete it there is no use for it, so might as well save money. Also EGR delete kit would sort out many of these connections with the cooling system as you would be simlpy plugging them and removing EGR cooler which can cause problems with oil and antifreeze mixing, so might aswell invest in a EGR delete kit. If you need advice I can help.

      @@bmwchannel2149 you need to code egr out, otherwise u gonna have constat check engine light. People who makes maps for ECU/DME will code it out.

      @@ciuciuka812 yes it will throw the error code, but coding it out is simple and cheap. i recommend egr delete only when there is problems with it like the egr cooler or egr thermostat going bad, as usualy theyre pretty reliable. downside of deleting the egr is engine warming up lomger especially in winter, so that yelds higher fuel consumption as engine is cold longer

    I think its not the battery ,its the glow plug system (relay or glow plugs ) mine had a bad relay so for 50 euros i fixed myself

    Nice content as always.
    Despite the fact I hate to be a partypooper pain in the @$$, I have two advices:
    Get another e36 compact for winterbeater, that was the "non plus ultra", the king of beaters, the E60 is just not that category, simply a cruiser, meant for mid 2000s business guys rushing from a meeting to another on the Autobahn doing 200 km/h
    And second: keep your glasses on please, we always see you wearing it, and when I saw you without them it was a bit strange. But my guess that "Greg" is you in helmet is getting stronger...so you forgot to put your glasses back on after taking off the helmet 🤣🤪

    just do an EGR delete and get rid of all the leaking problems! that hose will just get plugged!

    Have the exact same car, sadly recently I put Halogen bulbs in mine, big mistake, my e60 caught fire on the left headlight, waiting from insurance to see if they can fix it :((

    how cold was it when you started the 5 series, because I live in the south of Germany, it often gets cold between -5 and -20 degrees in winter and I've never had such problems with the cold start and I'm just bmw diesel driven from 3 cylinder diesel to 6 cylinder diesel and never had such a hard cold start

    The thing you deleted is actually the EGR cooler, and by deleting it, you will never have hot air inside the car ( belive me, personal experience).

      You sure? I think it will just make the car use a bit more time getting hot. It will still heat up coolant for warm inside the car

      @Fahre Films if you stay still, yes you will have hot air, but if you start driving the coolant temp will drop down. I had the same issue.

      @@TheAssain09 You are right, because now the big circle is open in cooling system. If u want to remove egr, better just block both hoses.

      @@FahreFilms With EGR thermostat like you have, the coolant is constantly going into radiator and cooling down. It will never get to working temp while driving. Egr thermostat is supposed to open at 75°C. Just buy a new mahle/behr and forget about problems. It will be OEM BMW thermosat with grinded out BMW part number. In Latvia it cost around 25e.
      P.s. Before you put your new thermostat into egr cooler, take out an old o-ring and put it on thermostat. New thermostat comes without o-ring, but in most cases you can use old one.

    Har funne ut at e92'n min e ikke den beste vinterbila hehe, lett og ganske dårlig vinterdekk bak.. Forrige eier kjøpt sjukt billige vinterdekk på thansen, skjønne ikke helt ka han tenkt 😅Blir vel å bytte dekk

    By deleting your EGR thermostat you’ll never go above 70C! Go into the hidden menu and check coolant temps

      Srry men klarer ikke dy meg her 😂 om du så mye som et sekund forsvarer det 3 serie makkverket dersom den har N motor over en av få av bmws beste og mest holdbare diesel motorer med M fortegnelse, noen sinne, så tror jeg du skal være stille og lese deg opp litt 😂 kompis er på sin andre e91 der både bensin og diesel med N motorer har vært under panseret og jeg sier ALDRI igjen skal han ha slikt søppel 😂 jeg har 525d 177hk e61 med chip jeg har kjørt nå slik snart 70k km siden jeg kjøpte den og ikke bytta noe mer motor messig som var nødvendig enn en utslitt dynamo 😂 så han kompisen din med e60 dersom han hadde M motor så har han bare vært sabla uheldig for min 525d har fått mye juling på mine kjøreturer med den og den bare tar imot og tar imot!
      Jevnlig Olje skift med olje åndings filter og diesel filter hvert 30k og hvert andre år og en oppgradert turbo og de motorene kan gå evig vær du sikker!

      @@thomasbacker8162 Tror du må ta deg ein beroligane her du, merker du går i forsvarsmodus fordi du eier en 😂, e ikkje snakk om motor generelt, e snakk om selve e60, elektronikk og drit, samt de ser ikkje ut i måneskinn😂 ( min mening, mulig du elsker de å det skal du få ha lov til, for jeg kjører mest sannsynlig en bil du syns ser jævlig ut ) 😂
      Men eg trenge ikkje lesa meg opp, har vært igjennom en del bmwer, N motor e største søppelet som er, det kan jeg si uten og eie en. Kun kjenne folk som har en.
      M motor er god sålenge du fjerner Swirl flaps og egr og dpf, da tåler de stage 2 og rundjuling, en gjenganger er og multifunksjonshjulet som ryker vis det ikke har vært bytta, utover det er det bytte olje pr 10K kilometer så holder den evig.
      Driver med tuning, og 320d M motorene tåler ganske heftige tuninger over lengre tid uten problemer, tilogmed de med automatgir.

      Ja nei du skal få for at jeg gikk i " forsvarsmodus" på motora men ja jeg stiller meg hvertfall uenig i at e61 msport ser dårlig ut der e60 uansett blir for mye kone bil materiale i mine øyne med mindre du har stor motor som 535d eller m5 helst 😂 men kjører faktisk med downpipe og Kat på mine m57 og andre e39 m47 men skal vekk om ikke lenge så holder dem sikkert 300k til lett 😂 og ja el problemer i e6* karroseriet er no sabla dritt dem burde skjønt under fabrikkeringa av dem i 03 men heldigvis har jeg slitt null og niks i nærheten av det mr. Fahre sliter med her med sin selv om jeg tom. Har panorama tak på andre vinter sesong nå 😂✌️

    it is not about bmw cooling system, I have 3 bmw and I never had problems with that, is about you don’t know to take care of your car, look at your engine sounds

      Hey, sorry you feel that way, but in my eyes it’s still the same, a few years back I drove around in cars that gave me joy, and I still do. Nothing wrong with trying different things. A e36 or e34 will offcourse be back on the channel. But it’s important to progress 🙏🏼 And most imortantly, enjoy the ride!

    It’s not the cooling system, it’s owners who do not use proper coolant and new cooling system parts, used parts are as used as your car 🥲
