Obviously, hard work, hours of dedication, and a bit of luck is at the core of finding success in anything. But with this particular craft, you need something more. An “X factor” that sets you apart from the crowd.
It can be anything from your stream overlay, to the overall production value of your setup.
Hell, even small features like bizarre text-to-speech donations can make you stand out.
The fact is, these days, raw skill and talent alone aren’t enough to take you to the upper echelon of streaming . . .
. . . or is it?
You see, in the annals of Apex Legends, skill has almost always been more respected than anything else. And for good reason.
Among the top-tier battle royale shooters out there, it’s one of the most competitive and demanding. And perhaps no one embodies that more than Shivam "ShivFPS" Patel. A shield-cracking, smoke-pushing madman who is interested in one thing and one thing only.

I think there should've been a mention of how off-meta Shiv plays. He is the only player using Banglore in ALGS and one of the very few players that uses her in high tier ranked lobbies. In a game like Apex where movement is considered a really important factor he doesn't perform any advanced movement techniques, just the basic ones. He also uses a fov of 90 when almost every other player above gold uses a fov of 105+
The warlord is truly built different
Those are all the reasons why he will never be at the top of this game. He can't compete with the best of the best because he just isn't that good on a pro level. Stomping pub lobbies is cool, though.
and I'm pretty sure he's the inspiration for every Bangalore user in my lobbies... They have no movement tech, use only fundamental skills, etc., but COMPLETELY fail to replicate how he times and aims his smokes. Every single time I have a Bang on my team it's them reacting to every single fight (sometimes before it even starts) by smoking my view. It doesn't even matter if I showed them early in the match that I'm good enough to win a 1v3 or whatever accomplishment that could make them trust me a bit more to stop them from smoking my general area, they're just ADDICTED to using smokes everytime they hear shots.
I'd honestly rather play with aceu/rFaide wannabe wraith mains that can at least actually keep up with me on movement even if they usually still don't know how to utilize it properly in a match. At least I don't enter a goddamn vape convention everytime I try to take a fight.

I can't and will never understand why trashing on cheaters is consider going too far, their the reason any game feel less fun for 99% of the gaming community

Cheaters are the absolute worst, but from a company standpoint, you can't have people representing you wishing death upon someone.

EA could actually fine cheaters for tampering with their game because that is illegal unless the game is open source but then again i guess its not that simple.
Because we live in a world where nice words are more important than decent conduct. No need to fix issues if you gag everyone from complaining.

I got in a match with shiv once and he was yelling at stream snipers while getting a 3k without trying, easiest win of my life lol
he carried me with 5k damage and 18 kills, i said in chat at the end something like gg thanks for the carry and he just said something along the lines of "nah man u did all the work i was just running and gunning thanks for reviving me ggs" etc, really humble guy fr.
I mean if u ever play eith Shiv u gotta have the same yelling energy as him, that gives him more power lol
@@Gyeongju906 Doing 5k and then saying nah you did all the work is either making silly fun of you or humble bragging. Which most of these apex streamers do from time to time. There is a point where even the best of the best should realise they are the stars and dont be humble when really they did all the work.

Punishing a player for making fun of cheaters who are the ones that also ruins the game is unfair.
Doesnt matter who it is aimed at, cheater or not, he got banned because of telling someone to die in real life, not as to die in-game which is almost always taken as simply getting a kill in game. When someone with such an audience starts yelling repeatedly to die, its not really good for anyone and should chill out and take a break.

When I played rocket league, I noticed something. It was far more effective to sit on the ground, let the fancy fliers spend 20 seconds to set up an aerial spike only to have it blocked at goal because I was waiting. I'm decently sure that's why wo many people in mma opt to pull the opponent to the ground for a finisher, letting them have that much reach can be deadly, so clipping thay opportunity early can solve it.
So this super sweat realized in a movement game, being a fast mover with a smoke cover can be a serious advantage over the people trying to specialize in these trick shots and fancy movement patterns. While the enemy wastes so much energy trying to look cool, he just sets up a by the books shot and nails it.
Shiv is an absolute monster
You just know that they are BR/Apex-pros when you hear them screaming that much while playing a tournament together :D
