She's so good at her job!
The Silvia is amazing! I got mine in 2012 based on watching SCG Videos and never looked back!! In the future I may get a 1 group Classe 5 but for now the Silvia is perfect!! Takes a while to master but makes the best coffee once you do!
Benjamin C i wasnt a fan of the silvia it wasnt much of a step up from the ec155 i had and lot of money. if u want a good machine youll never regret get that pro 500
For an older Ascaso Dream, what would cause a cup of espresso to be watery? Can it be repaired?
can you backflush the ascaso? since it had a diff. 3 way solenoid valve as you mentioned
I got hooked on the Silvia videos! Greetings from Budapest, Hungary
Greetings! Thanks for watching!
can you guys do a review on the Ascaso Uno, and maybe a comparison with the silvia? thanks!
Thank u very much indeed vor this demo... Greetings from good old germany
What about the different in shot quality/heat retention?
Shot quality will be very similar between the two. The group valve in the Ascaso will be a bit more heat stable, but the Silvia will be more consistent overall because it's using an actual boiler.
Hi SCG! Nice video here and trully a competitive comparison in between those two espresso machines.
One question though, what does the PID kit gives you more on Silvia? Since this is single boiler machine and not heat-exchange type like in Oscar II, which machine serves faster switching between Brewing and Steaming?
Thanks and looking forward to your reply!!
Cheers from Indonesia
I own a Silvia. The PID helps stabilize the boiler temperature which normally would overshoot. It can brew espresso back to back and from steam to brew is about 2 and a half minutes.
2 and half minutes is not bad.
what is your opinion about Nuova Simonelli the Oscar II?
Heat exchange is available in that machine.
Kelvin Susanto I have never used the Oscar. as long as you don't mind not having the hot water option the Oscar is a much better machine
Sorry the Oscar 2 is way better than the Silvia. :)
Love the more retro look of the Ascaso. Too bad you can't shove the guts of the Silvia into the shell of the Ascaso.
