Step up Saturday #6 - Crafting with no rules featuring Stampin' Up! Sentimental Park

The idea for this card came to me while I was making the Simple Sunday project for last week. While I love the Berry Burst version, I couldn’t help but feel something a little more muted / pastel would really suit the flowers featured in the set. Especially, if I was able to make the feature of the card really ‘pop’ from the design.
Soft Sea Foam features as the card base this time - very infrequently used for card bases as I tend to home to the darker tones like Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss or Cherry Cobbler. But it does really suit the tone on tone stamping that I’ve done for this card.
We need to take a moment for the dies, because they are absolutely gorgeous. They’re also the reason I didn’t do too much on this design as I wanted them to be showcased. With just the white and Soft Sea Foam, I felt a pop of colour was needed to really draw attention to the gorgeous shaping of the die. So tiny flowers of Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry finish off the centre, with an accent of gold in the form of a ribbon and butterfly.
