The M-series chips in Macs have honestly made the iPad Pro feel a bit redundant. Back in 2018, when I made the switch to using an iPad Pro as my primary device, it made total sense. The hardware was cutting-edge for its time, and the potential seemed limitless. I stuck with it for 3 years. But now, with the latest Macs, it’s hard to ignore the reality: everything I used to do on the iPad can be done better, faster, and with way less effort on a Mac. That’s why I finally gave up on the iPad and made the move to a Mac.
I’ve iPad Pro M1 and laptop too, before buying iPad Pro I used to think I would replace my laptop with it but now I feel laptop are much better even if for any use.
Great content! The M4 11" brought me back to the iPad. After trying to use the MBP 14" as my mobile work device for 6 months I bought the M4 11" and never looked back. It's perfect for working on the go.
The new size and weight of the M4 iPad Pro is amazing. I can confidently call it magical once again since the iPad 2. I use it everyday and it has replaced my Macbook Pro when I'm going around town and when I get back to my home office, I use it in combination with mac studio M2 ultra. Perfect companion.
Getting tired of the whole “i put x device aside because i didn’t see what was great about it, then later went back to it and realized how great it was, so here are my thoughts” format The video was planned a long time ago This isn’t some realization you’ve come into about the iPad😂 Change is needed
Notion - why are you sponsoring ipad content when you still can’t have multiple notion windows open on ipad; the inferior notion experience on ipad is one of the major things that keeps my ipad from replacing my computer.
Got my M4 11 inch last week and I love it. Came from the 2020 iPad 8 which was really showing it's age so this upgrade was MASSIVE. It's perfect for amazing movie/video consumption, taking school notes, and a tad bit gaming. Great video!
@@DJVonDutch1 The iPad 8th came with the A12 chip (a 2018 chip) which was fine for 2020 but with ipados 17 and 18 it was horrible. Apps takes a while for it to load and sometimes the animations either stutter or lag or straight up my ipad would be frozen. Plus that 32GB of storage felt like absolute hell
I can't believe how you just skip all the M1 M2 amazing models of Ipad..and jumping into actual m4 promoting like some crazy innovation just happened. M1 and M2 Ipad pro 12.9 inches absolutely rock and you can't really compare workflow on MacBook and Ipads.. ( Touchscreen and apple pen makes huge differences vs MacBooks ) .. yeah it's thin as ipad but why thickness has to do anything with effectiveness of the device. Sometimes it sounds that 0.3 Lbs makes such a difference to someone that they would die if they had to carry extra 0.3 lb more in the backpack ( that's the weight of an extra house key and a Keychain) . Ipad Pro with magic keyboard is definitely the best device in general to cover mostly every needs ( except maybe something super professional that only 1% ppl on this planet would do ).
I really enjoy watching ur videos. You are just soooo creative and I love your style of your videos. You are are role model for me to keep doing creative stuff. Thank you for making these videos 🙏
For me - iPad it’s next level pc. I don’t know why, but I have incredibly high expectations for everything (all of computing stuff). Just love this thing.
Should I upgrade from my 2018 11” iPad Pro 64gb no cellular to the M2 11” iPad Air or iPad Mini 7 both with 128gb or m4 11” iPad Pro 256gb? And with or without cellular? I want it primarily for media consumption, learning from Udemy, taking it with me to either university or cafes sometimes, and note taking. Also, please make more wallpaper packs lol
@ Yeah you’re right but I want it especially for media conception like watching yt videos mainly. So maybe iPad mini 7 or iPad Air m2 11” are the best choices? And with or without cellular for those ones? And coming from 120hz to 60hz is fine with them for a better price for an iPad specifically? Thanks.
Such a good iPad, such a good honest review of an amazing product. I bought a mini instead of this… just feel like it’s more usable and portable. I’d prefer a MacBook for higher demands etc.
Another amazing Canoopsy review… BOUGHT today - 🤞less screen diimmimg?? vs. M2 Air 13” selling it -keeps dimming; my M1 Pro 13 rarely did! M2 runs hotter
i don't understand the argument of not using stage manager on iPads. i have had it on my 14" MacBook maybe a ten times in the past two years but i have always switched back to traditional window behavior within a few days at max. but whenever i have my girlfriend's iPad Pro overnight i use stage manager without fail. apps like instagram that are not optimized for the iPad are much better with stage manager and i can drag other apps beside it without having to use split screen (and they even stay together as a group in app switcher). any apps that don't feel good in a stage manager-y window style (for me that's RUclips) i just increase their size to fill the screen and not show the stage manager windows. i don't see why one would not want it always on and maybe that's just me but i genuinely cannot imagine buying an iPad that's 11" or bigger and not using stage manager. haven't spent any time with an iPad Mini outside an Apple Store so reserving judgement for that size for now.
Yes … engineering student here … screen brightness superb, speed super fast for medical images, if you use Anki or OneNote for notes w/textbook screenshots like I do … M1 Pro started lagging … M2 Air handled it BUT ran hotter and screen dimmed inside a lot! Just upgraded today.
I have and iPad Pro m4 11” but I feel that I need a Mac, I can’t do many things like in a Mac, I going to sell the iPad Pro, buy a iPad mini and buy a Mac air, what do you think?
It's increibly simple, let us choose what os to boot on, if ipados suits you better when you draw and macOs when you need specific apps or workflows just switch os's as you would do on a Mac when running windows on it. But if they do that they'll stop selling macs and they only want our money, they don't care about doing a good product.
When Android tablets allow you to switch to Windows on ARM as an alternative, Apple may do it. You cannot whine about Apple and give Android tablets a pass, which is unfair. It could just be that OEMs understand that by offering this, they risk competing against their own ecosystem, which, as anyone with a basic economic understanding would know, is a schoolboy's error and a no-no.
The problem with tech is that we get a product and then reject it for another product but still want the chosen product to work like the rejected product . We want laptops to be desktops, tablets to be laptops, phones to be like tablets. Hey, most of y'all want assholes to be pumpum when pumpum is just right there next door😢
back on my floating ipad thumbnail game 😤
what size of macbook do you use in the video? 16 inch ir 14 inch? I wonder.
Looks great!
Can't believe it, 2 back to back videos, loving the content, keep rolling it out! :)
more to come!

I love my 13” M4 iPad Pro (1TB), it serves me very well for my music production, an amazing device

I love my m4 13 “ iPad! Upgraded from the M1 & it’s a huge upgrade IMO! 💯 Silver iPad with the white Magic Keyboard is CLASSIC!!😍

Great Video! Where did you get your shirt from it's soo cool?
Myself I like the MacBook Pro 14 Magic Mouse $ iPad Pro 13 with Smart Folio Apple Pencil Pro it seems with my setup can do almost everything
For me - iPad it’s next level pc. I don’t know why, but I have incredibly high expectations for everything (all of computing stuff). Just love this thing.
I agree with you, but its not 100% like a Mac, iPad os need more apps and the facilities of the os system
Love your calming voice while you review. Can’t stand the over hype of people’s like.. being noisy
Watching this on my 2024 M4 11” iPad Pro

Don’t but IPad unless you want to write handwritten notes, buy laptop/Mac instead, your productivity would be much higher on those instead of iPad.

I don’t know if i should buy an ipad pro m4 or a MacBook pro m4 as a dental university student so any and all opinions would help

Would u recommend this for medical students?

Depends if you're going to need specialized software

Bro I just saw the thumbnail and I thought this was Byte-review’s channel
he lowkey copied canoopsy in terms of YT thumbnails inspired by Apple
How did you get Whole Lotta Red on cassette? lol

Notion 👎 It tries to be an everything app but does none of it well. Everything feels incomplete in that app. Meh!
