me and my friend used to sing this in class in middle school then we'd go hit the skateboard with our birdhouse boards. LTJ i owe you my life... and my dignity!
They don't have any bad songs which is one of the many reasons I love Less Than Jake so much. That said this is easily one of, if not my favorite of their older stuff, stuff before Hello Rockview.
Thumbs up if the first time you watched this was in the late 90s on less than Jake's homepage and you had no idea what was going on because your 56k connection was so shitty
@GOTSTEEZE92: Tell me about it this takes me back to when I was 14yrs to 16yrs old in 1996-1998! Grew up listening to bands like this and Mighty Mighty Bosstones! Miss all the oldskool music!
Hello Rockview is AMAZING, not only does it have the sound and awesomeness as losing streak, but also story telling lyircs and composition that makes the album not as random and more memorable, but anyway COOL VID!
I have seen this band 3 times! And got to meet roger after one of there shows and my friends and i toked up w him and 3 of his buds! Great memories! Even got a pic w him! He even put his arm around my waist! I bout peed myself! Lolol
1) They aren't emo 2) They do indeed still use their horns 3) If you see em live they hardly play any of their new stuff. I'm going to see them next monday (not the one coming) and you don't understand how much i can't wait. I've seen em once before.. they are the best live band i have seen... on par with red hot chilis.
yea but i like bands who mix up there songs as well i mean its live they play them so freakin much so i dont care if bands play there songs differently but i cant w8 2 see these gys in feb
the version on losing streak is a little weak compared to this, love it(losing streak is an AMAZING cd though - pretty much my favourite song ever is Automatic... also just like frank is very good, and i prefer the johnny quest there to the one on pezcore.. but i prefer pezcore's jen).. anyway, this is definitely a very good vid, and probably better than the album version of dopeman
It was on a free 3 song CD they gave out. I got it for free at Warped Tour 97 in Asbury Park, NJ. I don't know if there is another CD out there with it.
Cut Chemist of Jurassic 5 does the remix version that is in this video. Does anyone else find this song sounds similar to 103rd Street Rhythm Band's "Express Yourself". I always thought this song was influence by old 50s-60's R&B/Soul, especially the bassline
i agree!! less than jake freakin rule...and there are so many great horn songs that they have done which all of them have become classics. also anyone that does not like less than jake then...wow.. u must be dead inside! or anyone that don't like ska/punk.....YOUR DEAD INSIDE!.....like my friend sean!
Hello 144p Can't these bands ask their record companies to look through the archives to upload HD version of all their videos, or if the bands own the original film or whatever... Like when this airs on TV it looks fine.
hey if you like it here are some other good bands to check out Mustard Plug Reel Big Fish (more punk rock) Streetlight Manifesto Buck-o-nine No Doubt Save Ferris Dance Hall Crashers Rancid Operation Ivy The Toasters
@Numonkei also ASOB (even though they have been around since 95 they released the first album in 98) if you're into the harder ska theres choking victim/leftover crack, there is always tons you just have to look really hard for them

Odd, owned the CD, listened to these guys for years throughout high school ... and I never saw this video. Where the hell was I?
Same just now watched it.
Was just thinking the same thing! I don’t think I ever saw this, and they were my favorite band for years!
They don't have any bad songs which is one of the many reasons I love Less Than Jake so much. That said this is easily one of, if not my favorite of their older stuff, stuff before Hello Rockview.

This video brought to you in 1K Ultra Low Def.

Does it matter what genre people say they are as long as you like the music?
if you look at the lyrics it's kind of like the OG ska Rich Men North of Richmond
@potato3215 Yes it is Eric Estrada ha ha, and he seemed to be in many music videos in the late 90's as a cop.
Roger is awesome in this vid
ill love less than jake no matter what, but i do think the old stuff is way better.
gonna go see em tonight in Calgary! :)
It was on a free 3 song CD they gave out. I got it for free at Warped Tour 97 in Asbury Park, NJ. I don't know if there is another CD out there with it.

Hello 144p

HONESTY- it always makes me feel better =]
Damn takes me way back
dopeman rocks
I love this one
This gigantic robot kills - Mc Lars
This video is awesome
yep.
Where would you get dope without the dopeman?
I always wished this song would suddenly have like a final, fast and loud chorus. The verses are amazing though.
I love the outro, I see what you mean but it's a pretty mellow song all in all..
Some backing vocals during the final chorus would work very well.
DOPEMAN! DOPEMAN!
On their Losing Streak album
aaaaaaaawesome!
good stuff
yes.. they do.. thanks for the obvious..
Indeed! They are the SHIT! but i went skankning and i hurt my shoulder pretty bad.
i have it already and it is off the chain!
