Given some Mexican heritage in my mother’s family, we have a tamales recipe. Our meat is a combination of beef and pork while the lard, is beef and pork fat, (though sadly pork fat is the most available). As I hoped was the same and was proven right, my family recipe also calls to mix in the lard with la Masa enough so a piece of it floats in water.

They did not mention that they should not get angry while preparing the tamales because supposedly they don't cook, likewise they should tie the corn husk to the ears of the pot so that they do not hear gossip, And speaking of the recipe itself, it was pretty good 👍✨✨

As a Mexican,I can claim that's not how a true Mexican makes tamales,also, they're actually called tamales de Chile rojo but with green salsa, it's called tamales de Chile Verde
