I have a Black 3-Battery Model J ... I swapped the bars, added a cafe fairing, full twist throttle and fixed position stem ... My only complaint is the position of the rear brakes - it needs to be relocated when the rear rack is installed... Otherwise it is a great buy.

payload rated around 360 lbs minus the bike, how feasible for riding with a passenger? Its one of my bigger considerations for upgrading my current bike.

Update, I went for the Lyric Cycles Graffiti 2023 instead. For the dual batteries, the price gets close and graffiti has the stronger motor + 2 person capacity.
