I really like it when you show your palette and how you mix your colors. It is so helpful, as I am still learning how this medium works. This was really an enjoyable tutorial. Thank you Paul for all you do.

Having the palette on the side is SO HELPFUL for a beginner like me. I really needed to gain an understanding of how much of a wash to create, get a better sense of water to pigment ratio, etc. This was a handy visual- thanks as always!

I Love it when you choose a picture from one of Margot’s challenges and then show all those beautiful paintings from the group at the end! I had a lot of fun with this challenge and look forward to painting this beauty, I always learn something new every week ! One thing, I can never tell which is the right side to paint on of this Saunders 300lb rough paper!

I am back to say that you quite outdid yourself with the textures and the shadows in this one! I got so curious about your 'hang out' pun that I forgot to compliment you on the skill with which you built the sense of the old time-worn alley with the textures and patina that develop with the passing of the ages. So good it brought back memories of wandering through passages just like this one with the play of light in the twists and turns of the alleyways.

Wow!! Thank you to Margot and the Facebook group absolutely love seeing the different interpretations!! Paul - thank you for all your teaching and all the time devoted to us on RUclips!! I do like the added pallet but would also like to see when possible the painting or photo a bit more to see what you are working from. Does that make sense?! Thank you again. :0)
