It was good to see a detailed review of the base model. I appreciate that because I've been only finding reviews of the EX-L which is more than what I'm looking for. Nice job.
Thanks for car review! You've really done a pretty thorough video!!! I will add a few features or details that were not mentioned or maybe originally known about. Just so everyone knows, I have been driving a 2016 Honda HR-V LX like in this video for just over a month now. 1 - When you have the back-up camera engaged (in video approx. 20:50-21:30), you can change it's view! You do this by pressing the radio preset #1, with the back-up camera on; a reason to do this might be useful in a parallel parking situation. 2 - When you have the key in ignition, but you have it turned halfway, you can change the color of the center ring around odometer! (in video 16:40-18:10) Once again, the ignition cannot be fully engaged for this, but with key turned halfway, press the button the button that which change your odometer to trip to oil life, etc. You can cycle through basically almost the whole rainbow. PLEASE NOTE: Once you have set the color you like and turn ignition completely on, you will see your newly selcted color for only the speedometer ring. And while driving this ring changes color too! It is thought to be based on the active fuel economy (and how high your RPMs or acceleration). Examples: (A) When you start the speedometer ring in red, it can vary between red to yellowish-orange to green. Green is where you want to be for optimal fuel economy. (B) When you start the speedometer ring in blue, it can vary between blue to blue-green [can appear turquoise] to green. Green is where you want to be for optimal fuel economy. 3 - Lastly the radio color can be changed too. You can find this in radio settings. Color options here: blue, red, amber [looks like brown to me] and lastly there's a gray [almost white to match other instrumentation]. Somethings I learned on this video: 1 - the brightness of instrumentation can be changed. 2 - Bluetooth can be an audio source. Hope this information is worthwhile to someone. Just a reminder, I've been driving a 2016 Honda HR-V LX like the one in this video for just over a month. And if anyone wants to reach out to me, please reply here.....
Great video! Just purchased one today and I'm thrilled with it so far! It's a great drive for the size and it has a very surprising amount of space. I'm just under 6'3 and I have plenty of head space and enough leg room to be comfortable in all seats!
I believe the break hold feature is used for lets say your at a stoplight and you don't want your foot on the break, you can use that feature to brake hold while your at a stoplight, or whatever you prefer to use that option. Hope that helps :) but don't "quote" me on it ;).
MikesCarInfo Yeah, idk hopefully that helps, by any chance could you do a review on an 2016 Acura TLX im looking to maybe get one! but i would like to see it first.
Normally on cars under the hood I hate it when there is too much plastic. But engines like these meant for family's there should be more plastic cause new family car engines aren't exactly lookers.
Excellent review, but did someone forget to install the carpeting? Every button you touched appeared flimsy, were they? Reminds me of fords in the 80's "Hecho en Mexico" quality.
Hey Mike, nice job! I subscribe and watch all your videos. I have a question about the ride stance of this HR-V. The seats look really low. Do you ride high at all. Say, in comparison to a CR-V or an Escape, how high does the HR-V ride?
+Skippy K my dads way to used to his 99 corrola he has had for 16 years with Manuel windows, locks, mirrors, and lights everytime he turns of the car he goes and switches the stock out of auto and to off cause that's what he does on my corrola. Also when he needs to change the side mirrors he opens the window and actually puts force against the mirror to change it instead of using the controls lol.

The exterior body style is...perfect! A real looker! I like the fuel cap on driver's side.

You're Welcome; please let me know if I can look into anything on this vehicle for you?
Do you still have this car? Any issues on reliability?
Just purchased, Do you still have vehicle, any problems ?
Another thing not mentioned: the rear seats recline one position.

I often see Honda HR-V in the city. It's so cool and nice size, imo.
Shoot, I like the volume and A/C controls in the LX but I want leather and a sunroof...
I’m looking at this car right now, I’m in love with it. I’m really short but I also have a dog so I want something perfect for both of us
I'm looking to buy a used 2016 Honda HR-V.
Just bought one today. Thanks for your review. It's very helpful.
Can you try and make a Honda Civic Coupe video? Would love to see you cover that
Dominick Mag I'll try

Julien Michael Thanks Julien... I think you are right!

Julien Michael I will try but it most likely will not be soon. There isn't any Acura dealers nearby.
Do you think Honda will put the civic turbo in one of these some time soon?

Are these good for road trips?
Does the HR-V has a power tailgate.

Skippy K The seats are a little lower than the CR-V and Escape but higher than a car... it is easy to get in and out for me.
Skippy K Thanks for your feedback Skippy! :)
MikesCarInfo Thanks. Appreciate. I wanted to go to our dealership...but they don't have any.
MikesCarInfo You bet!
There’s five 🚪doors
Maybe I missed it, but didn't see automatic headlights.
Skippy K 16:11 No auto headlights on this trim level.
MikesCarInfo Features we live with daily. I checked. They are on top level trim. Thanks, Mike. Keep 'em coming.
Skippy K auto headlights mean? like if it rains or like its getting evening headlights will turn on automatically?
clapicusrein David Yep. And go off when you turn ignition off. No worry.
