Many thanks Nobby! Кино
Too right I fly from the car, comfy and no nosey neighbours asking silly questions. ;) My concentration is alot better cause Im comfy and not stressing about the next dog to come sniff me bits! keep em coming Nobby
Haha spike that made me smile 🤣 thanks buddy 🙏
Thanks for the video Nobby. I hope that you are having a great day.
Thanks Bob you too 👍
Worth knowing Nobby, especially with the weather at the moment!❄️❄️❄️❄️
Most definitely. Thanks David 🙏
Thanks. Useful and informative video.
You’re welcome thank you 🙏
Another very useful video. Thanks.
Thank you 🙏
Great video as always, Nobby. Temperatures here in Wisconsin are in the 30 degrees Fahrenheit range and getting colder by the day. Flying from the car is a great option. Cheers, sir.
Thanks George. I hate the winter months although you can get some great footage 👍
Nice one Nobby! Flew from the car one time with my older Autel Evo1. Not bad, but I'm thinking a better signal with my M3P. That O4 on the M4P is awesome.
Yes the 04 makes a huge difference 👍 thanks 🙏
Great video Nobby and well explained about the rules. Winter is here and why not keep warm while flying your drone. Many thanks for sharing the info - Like from me
Thanks Shaun. You’re welcome ☺️
Thanks for the video 😊
You’re welcome thanks 🙏
Nice video, Nobby you have a new subscriber 👍
Thank you, and welcome to the channel 👍🙏
Non reflective screen protector ~ needs this so bought. Great info thank you
Great stuff. Thanks 🙏 it makes a world of difference 👍
Great information. Instead of turning off obstacle avoidance, you can switch the controller to sport mode, which also turns it off. Thanks
this is true, but hand catching close to a vehicle could be catastrophic in sports mode. 👍
Great video Nobby
Thanks Chris 👍
You could also swith to Sport mode if you want to quickly disable the sensors to catch the drone.
Yes you could but that close to a car would be disastrous 👍
I have bad hands / fingers due to arthritis so cannot hand land when in the car , what I do for take off and landing while sitting in the car is use a badmington racket to land on , hold racket stick out window and lend , no chance of a prop hitting a finger or letting the drone slip from your hand .
Good idea if it works for you 👍 thanks 🙏
100% agree with every point you made here, Nobby. Great information. Maybe now people will stop asking or telling us that’s why we have signal issues when we don’t. Hahaha.
Totally Kevin. Well you did the signal test inside and out and there was no difference 😁 keep safe brother 🙏
One of the benefits you are listing for flying the drone from inside is that people don't immediately know who is piloting the drone however by the UK CAA drone and model aircraft code, point 22 states that you must make sure you can be clearly seen when you're out flying so that people know who is responsible for the aircraft. I'm not sure I agree that being sat in a car allows you to be clearly seen.
Yes to a degree, but that is for people's privacy not for flying out in the open. Thanks 🙏
No, i have never flown from any vehicle and have no plans too either lol, however i could see it as a viable option when its freezing cold outside, and i might want to get the drone in the air for some great shots, the comfort of a warm car would be enticing in this case 🙂
Most definitely 👍 it’s certainly viable when it’s cold 🥶 😁
Good video. Enjoy your videos.
Thank you 🙏 glad you enjoyed it 👍
Hi nice video, but i have a Q. My RC2 record screen only to interla memory not a SD card and dont show video in directory some time yes some time no, it is bugy... And pls how to get the RC2 controller to record the screen recording to the sd card? (it is formatted and appears normally, but the addresses in it are still empty...)
You need to make sure it’s set to sd card and not internal storage. Under profile then settings then storage 👍
do you not have to have the drone in sight??this is from the CAA ...2. Always keep your drone or model aircraft in direct sight and make sure you have a full view of the surrounding airspace
You must be sure that you'll be able to spot any hazards, in the air or on the ground, and avoid any collisions.
You must be able to see your drone or model aircraft clearly enough that you can tell which way it’s facing. This is so that you can steer and control it safely, even if something happens unexpectedly.
You must be able to see it without using:
binoculars
a telephoto lens
electronic viewing equipment, such as a smart phone, tablet or video goggles
Yes you do and that’s what I said in the video thanks 🙏
Hey Gramps. You bring up an interesting point.
You mentioned that the Mini 4 Pro has a better range now. I wonder if it is due to the constant update...
Also, are you going to do a range test again? If not, is the drone perform way better than you first bought it?
Thanks
I don’t do range tests live unfortunately but the signal is extremely good 👍 thanks 🙏
Flying from a parked car is legal. From a moving car, there are rules depending upon the nation. Maintaining VLOS and radio LOS is essential as well as you mentioned, situational awareness. Drones flown from a vehicle in winter will stay up longer.
Exactly, Thanks 🙏
+1 on the not having to look at the drone at all times, this argument drives me mad! You need to BE ABLE to or have the ability to should you wish.
Totally agree my friend. Thanks 🙏
Oops I used the wrong channel haha
@@GAVINHR haha I did wonder 😁
The monitor is great 👍
Yes having it at high level certainly makes it easier 👍
Hi Nobby..I would love to connect my ipad to my RC2 as a second monitor however it is not an iPad Pro.. any ideas? 👍
I’m not sure it’s possible although I’ve not tried myself. I guess it would be trial and error. I think it need usb c input for it to work?
@@nobby-green Thanks Nobby, I think you’re right about usb c. Keep up the informative videos, much appreciated👍😊
@@keithhowland9333 you’re welcome thanks 🙏
so we have Tx & Rx giving off RF
controller is Tx & UA is the Rx
as I would prefer to have max RF output/input for the Tx & i Rx
with metal (vehicle) would impede & reflect the RF in transmission of (Tx) & Rx 😉
hope that helps 🙏
I see where you are coming from but it doesn’t make that much difference 👍 thanks 🙏
@@nobby-green OK ,,thank you for come back ,, you statement = " you see where I am coming from"" but ""it will not make much deference"" 🤔..... so reducing the RF output of Tx will reduce the input to the Rx ,🤔,,,
now I am trying to get my head around that,,,,
so "it wont make much difference"" 🤷♂
therefore you cannot see ""where I am coming from" 😉
OK ,,, not to worry , all the best 🙏
@@TheBILLANDERSON you're absolutely 💯 right...seems to be an unpopular view though.
@@vince-n your very welcome ,, OK ,,,I will take that opinion in ""seems to be an unpopular view""🙄
just common sense 🤷♂
being right = seems unpopular view 🤔
all the best 😁

i fly my dji fpv or avata with my goggles on from the car in this freezing UK weather
Its Freezing here at the moment. 👍cant fault you
I'll give one of those screen protectors a go Nobby.
They are pretty awesome thanks 🙏
Just ordered one 👍
@@wayneharry8696 will make a world of difference 👍
It certainly does. Arrived early and it's very well made. Looks the biz.
@@stillightdronephotography great stuff👍 make sure it’s perfectly clean before installing it.
In the US with a 107 in remote areas
Good to know 👍
“From a moving vehicle”. There is no specific reference to flying from a parked vehicle recreational or commercial. So, flying from a parked vehicle can be accomplished from any otherwise authorized flying location.👍
Otherwise, you CAN request a 107 waiver to fly from a moving vehicle in a populated area.
Thanks for sharing! Very interesting and useful video! Thumbs up 👍
Much success to everyone!
Sub.
Cheers 🍹
Thank you 🙏
I've queried the line of sight thing on other channels and have been advised that the drone needs to be seen by the naked eye. Using binoculars or just a screen image is not acceptable. Please can you clarify?
This is true. You could at one time have spotters and use radios etc. not anymore 👍 thanks 🙏
@@nobby-green Was just checking, but the line of sight rule needs to go as it's ridiculous.
@@wayneharry8696 totally agree 👍
The rule is that you must be able to see the drone with the naked eye and also be able to determine its orientation with the naked eye.
Just being able to see it is not good enough
@@Bob_Burton isn’t that what I said?
on my eie scooter thanks neil john
Cheers John 👍
unfortunately where i usually fly i can't get the car near lol but father xmas is bringing me usb rechargeable heated gloves
Haha. The gloves sound good though👍 thanks 🙏
Dose it fit the rc pro ?
You can get the screen protectors for the RC Pro
This one ?

I sometimes fly from my sofa😂
Haha what you like 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
In the UK it's forbidden to hand hold a cellphone while driving. Maybe the law does not yet tell about drone controllers...... Having any brain function we all know that DRIVING the car AND FLYING the drone is way out of limits.
Once facing "RC noise" messages from the controller, stepping into the parked car made the situation better! Don't ask why or how.
Here's a video from both driving a train and flying a drone, one a the time: ruclips.net/video/KpJQ2CijenQ/видео.html
Here's a video controlling the drone from inside the train: ruclips.net/video/TqIXBvmfPy0/видео.html, ruclips.net/video/TYFIJ_2l1h4/видео.html
😁 I wouldn’t attempt to drive and fly and can’t see why anyone would thanks 🙏
@@nobby-green No, neither of us would do it but other RUclipsrs have nagged the rules there.... Crazy.
@@Stefan_Boerjesson yep 👍
Have you tried to take off and land on the car roof . I am not comfortable in hand catching through the window but with precision landing on the mini 4 pro and finding it very accurate so the roof of my estate car should provide plenty of room. Just wondered if the metal will have any effect.
I’ve not but seen others do it. The only issue is it can slip off if it doesn’t come down flat and it’s not windy 👍
@@nobby-green it's supposedly bad because it can mess up the compass calibration.
@@superslimanoniem4712 never had that problem 👍
I tried to take off from the car roof once, a Tesla model 3, but got compass issues right away.
@@larsltj yes that’s a possibility. I never use the car as a take off and landing point. 👍
Legal, maybe not, But definitely is stealthy and wise with so many drone Karens.
definitely 👍
So also from the UK my friend but I don't drive and this time of year I just got the mini 4 pro and out 2 nights ago and trust me my figures almost fell of they where that old my friend night mode not that great but I updated it anyway as for the Karen's was out with my insta 360 in the summer months and a karen was Stocking me because I had it straped to my chest but she was in a 4b4 and everytime I got close to her she'd drive of not like your normal karen my friend
They can be weird at times the Karens 😁
you havet said about flying from a disabled scooter neal john
You can sure do that John 😁👍
Might be legal where you live but not here in the USA.
What to fly from a stationary car?
It’s absolutely legal with the exception of flying a drone from a moving vehicle in a populated, non-isolated area. Part 107
Spot on, Nobby! The naysayers against fly from your vehicle have the silliest arguments. All of which can equally be applied to flying from your backyard.
BTW, what manned aircraft are flying below 120m? I get a lot of aircraft near my home. I can hear them from miles away. See them also. Never seen one flying below probably 1,000ft.
All the theoretical “what ifs” drive me crazy.
Thanks for the video!
Thanks buddy 👍
Helicopters do cause I see it on flightradar app😢
@@kamikazekaos Lol! They can. But if they are flying under 120m around you then you might want to rethink your choice of flying locations in the first place. 🤣
You are doing it right if you are checking your apps prior to launching. In doing so you are 99.9% assured of never encountering a situation involving another aircraft.
@@vince-n Yep, operating requirements govern the use of drones and vary (slightly) from country to country.
Now, you can provide the law that prohibits flying a drone from a vehicle in the UK in the space provided below…
….I don’t see it.🤣
@@vince-n Again, who is going to decide what I can see and hear while sitting in my vehicle? You? The CAA? The FAA? No! Only the pilot can make that call. So if you can’t see or can’t hear from your vehicle then you are potentially in violation. Just like you would be if you were standing in your garden and your house obstructs your view in one direction. But I don’t see anyone arguing with flying from your garden. Weird huh?
This is why your argument (and others) is not valid. You cannot know what the pilot themselves is aware of at any given time.
So, Nobby is correct. You are not. Man up!
