Robert Wetzel ~ Isaac Albeniz ~ Leyenda in d minor

Robert Wetzel performs his own solo guitar arrangement of this well known piece of the Spanish guitar repertoire, known as Asturias or Leyenda by Isaac Albeniz (1860-1910). This piece is usually heard in the key of e minor, however, Robert Wetzel chose to make his arrangement in the key of d minor to give a different result of an overall deeper sonority in the guitar’s tonal palette that is projected when performed in this key of d minor.
This video was recorded on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 on an iPhone with no added artificial special effects to enhance the sound of the guitar during this intimate performance.
