I would have loved to include SNK's Buriki One in the list, but as many of you know it's a game with a buggy emulation. I hope you understand this omission and, hopefully, the video will help you to discover some new games. Enjoy!
Thank you so much for this list I will check out the games I have not heard of also about Buriki we understand! Hellish Quart is a new realistic sword dueling game
Imagine a game in which you are a fight choreographer for a martial arts film (or any kind of film, for that matter). You don't actively fight as any of the characters themselves, but you plan out their movements and interactions. The goal of the game is to make the best looking fight scenes you can. You would even control the camera angles throughout the whole scene. It would be like what you can do in SFM, but much more streamlined and user friendly without having to fine tune and tweak every single movement made, although you would have that option.
If you do a follow up video, there are two games that I think deserves spotlights. One is Ichigeki: Hagane no Hito. Basically a giant love letter to Kyokushin Karate. Aside from the combat, it also has a campaign mode with training as well as a technique viewer. The other is Karate Master 2: Knockdown Blow. Another love letter to full contact Karate, but with a more anime aesthetic (reminds me of Garouden or Grappler Baki). Also you can drive forklifts to make money lol
Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is one of my all time favorite fighting games. Quite possibly best the training systems. It had a standard move list training where it goes through every character's move list one at a time with suggestions on timing. A free mode where you can mess around with the character moves. It also shows possible combo set ups for each move. Finally a guide mode where it teaches techniques like throw escapes in a class like atmosphere. Not to mention VF4 EVO has a incredibly robust Quest mode. This mode I spent hundreds of hours earning ranks for my characters and unlocking things.
One game that woulda rocked to see was Ichigeki Hagane no Hito. A game that basically encapsulates Kyokushin Karate to its core. Kakuto Chojin's default move set had a more focused and "real" slant to its motions and animations, since they had a superb and seamless flow to em The first Tobal had a somewhat more realistic style and way of fighting than most traditional 3D FGs
Also Blade Symphony is a good tactic sword game, as I remember. And maybe you could put PRIDE FC for PS2 on the list: the complexity in the fight was overshadowed by his poor gameplay options, but nonetheless, it's great to grapple and drop your opponent to the ground
Super ochenteros los primeros, me recuerda a Karate kid. Recuerdo que jugué Best of the best porque la portada me impresionó (y mucho) ya teniendo el juego pues... No...
Probably. There's definitely a Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku that found its way in that list, though (and one from before the one with that name came into being.)

Love this list. You should check out Karate Master 2 Knock Down Blow on Steam.
Bushido Blade was my JAM!! Hellish Quart looks gnarly af tho🤘
Bushido Blade is so much fun. High damage and one-hit kills makes it interesting and strategic in your gameplay.
I wish square would bring it back
Oh me too buddy.
Try Hellish Quart, still in early access but it's a spiritual successor

I can bet my last dollar that the artist for Fist or Twist cover art is either the same guy who drew Baki the Grappler, or heavily inspired by him

Karate Master 2 Knock Down Blow would be a good addition to this list
karate Champion is the one from Bloodsport movie. Also want to add Ahh Harihamanada from Megadrive y Buriki One from arcade and psx.

Thank you so much for reminding me of Taekwon-Do!
Hellish Quart looks legit!
Bushido Blade 2 is where it's at.
"Aren't you a little young for full contact?"
"Aren't you a little old for video games?"
The Karate Champ game was played by Van Damme and a fat bearded man in the movie BloodSport.
I’m so mad that Mortal Kombat 10 is not here because it is also so realistic
Hey, Battle K-Road looks interesting!
Awesome thanks 😎👍
Great list! But I have to be”that guy” as usual..🤓Karateka for the Atari 7800!
Kengo is amazing
Anybody here ever watch Deadliest Warrior?

Poor Buriki One didn't made it on the list. Sadly, MAME team has been trying to fix some bugs on Hyper Neo Geo 64 arcade.
Bushido Blade 1/2 the best one hit kill games)
Cool
Kensei Sacred Fist, Buriki One.
hmm not bad. I feel like a lot of other realistic fighting games were not in here, but hey...sall good.
Wow. How did you end up finding about the new game Hellish Quart?
Do arena fighters next.
No HADOOOOOKENN?! How about Shoooooooryuuuuukennn!!!!
Probably. There's definitely a Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku that found its way in that list, though (and one from before the one with that name came into being.)
