Really nice to see your videos again! Super happy for you and your parents getting to spend time again, after being apart for so long. Everyone looked wonderful too during the wedding ceremony.
Hi Rose 😊🎌 Sending my best regards to your family and you 🌹 Seiya is handsome young man and his traditional dress suits him . I liked your hair cut and white traditional dress as well. I have never seen it before ,it looks a little bit strange . Special thanks to your parents ,they are so pretty and your Dad was incredible wearing Japanese's. First time I got Seiya's parents in the shoot (I guess they were there !). Also you were so much good editing this video ,even the vegan meals were included That's why I became a fan of your blog : it's so informative and cute Much love 🥰❤️💚🍉🍓🍊💞♥️😘🎌.
Thank you so much🥰 Yes, the traditional Japanese wedding dress is quite different from the western one! It was fun to be able to celebrate our wedding with my family and Seiya's together. And I was happy to be able to arrange all vegan meals, even the wedding cake! Everything was delicious😋 Thanks for always watching and commenting me. I really appreciate it❤️
Aomori looks beautiful! Could you give me an idea of what level of Japanese fluency someone would need to successfully travel (hotels, transportation, food) to the larger cities in Tohoku?
It is! I think it depends. I know people who live around here and can't speak Japanese, and I know that a lot of tourists come to this area who can't speak any Japanese. I guess I'd say that the more Japanese you know, the easier it will be for you to get around and do the things you want. But it's also possible to get by with little to no Japanese. I imagine non-speakers rely on translation apps and research a lot before they travel.
thanks so much!! I’m excited to dive in as part of trip preparation (still a few years out) Glad I have time to practice as much as possible, but knowing total fluency isn’t required lifts a huge weight off of me 🙂
Hi Rose, great video. Glad you got a chance to see your parents!!. My wife and I are taking a honeymoon trip 3 years late :-) we plan on being in Aomori for a couple of days nov 14th -16th. What will the temp be like, and are there are some good places to rent and drive a car to?
Hi! Thanks for watching 😊 Congratulations on your belated honeymoon trip! I'm happy to hear that you are coming to Aomori. The temperature is forecasted to be around 13°C in the daytime and 5°C at night. It is showing cloudy with occasional rain showers, although that could change between now and then. I would say it is rather chilly this time of year, especially in the early morning and at night. Daytime feels warm when the sun is out, but the wind is often chilly, so you will need a jacket! I have never rented a car in Aomori because I own a car, but I know there are many places to rent cars, including the airport. As for places to drive to, there are many great places! Recommendations would depend on what you like to do and what area you will be staying in, but if you have a car you can go anywhere! Hakkoda area is popular and there are many good hot springs in that area. Hirosaki has a nice castle and some beautiful parks and old buildings. There are some places you could see a live shamisen concert, one of those being the shamisen-kaikan in Kanagi. The Neputa/Nebuta museums are always fun (there's one in Aomori City, Hirosaki, Goshogawara...) Kuroishi is also a good place to spend a day or half a day (Komise-dori, hot springs, kokeshi museum, etc.) Really, the recommendations are endless! I suggest doing some research and seeing what you would both like to do while you are here. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Hope you have a great time 😊
Nice to see Aomori area after many years. Was stationed at Misawa from 87 to 93 and visited in 2006. Great country and very beautiful land. Thanks!
この動画を拝見し、穏やかな刻の流れと景色が素晴らしいと思います。また、様々な幸せなや喜びの気持ちを感じ素敵だなと思います。素晴らしい動画を有難う御座います。
I miss Oirase Gorge! It was one of my favorite spots! That's great your parents got to come! Getting to that area is a LONG haul from the west!

皆さんの紋付素敵ですね、特にRoseさんのお母さんが際立って見えます。
もちろん白無垢が一番ですけどね。
