The first 2 sagas had to be rerecorded because of issues with the music label so the earlier animatics have the old audio. Gigi's most recent version (with both The Horse and the Infant and Just a Man in the same video) has the updated audio + some updated drawings
I recently read a version of this story which was written for a modern audience which had a really interesting take on the whole infant scenario. Basically Odysseus pulled a prince and the pauper on Asternax (the baby) and dropped the body of another infant whom had already been thrown from the walls and gave Asternax to one of the Myrmidons to raise in secret wherebhis mother could see him grow up which i thought was kind of cool
as cool as that sounds, that breaks the story as no matter what that child would grow up to kill him and his family, thats the whole reason he kills the baby.

Pain that’s what you’re in for but it’s good pain
I discovered Epic: The musical halfway through last year, and I absolutely adore it, highly recommend you listen to the full 2 hour musical in order, maybe on your second channel due to the length
P.s. while the animatics are amazing, I'd recommend watching them after the full finished version as many of them use older versions of songs (like horse and the infant in this video, the finished mixed version sounds so much better)

He has two very big reasons why he did what he did. There was not guarantee that killing Hector's son would keep his wife and son safe, BUT there was a guarantee that if he didn't kill Hector's son, the boy would grow up to kill them all. Plus there was a very big wartime strategy back then to end the ruling family's bloodline of a city you conquered to keep the chances of a rebellion to a minimum.
