Hey Peter, great reaction! I was wondering if there is anywhere else to hear y'alls cover of Zombie besides Spotify? I love that song and would love to hear your rendition, but I dont have access to my Spotify account rn. Thank you for all the hard work.
Man if you loved Aaron's voice on this wait till you hear the real villainous song of this musical he sings....it ties easily with Hellfire for villainy . His vocals....
He's twenty! BUT he is also supposed to feel like a naive kid, wanting to take on the world. So yeah, he was born before Odysseus left but he is still shown as a younger kid.
I mean, yes, but for the ones that have been adults for some time Telemachus being still so young would be like a kid/boy even though he's 20, I'm 21 and I'm still like a child or barely more than a child to those who've been adults for quite some time and see me as a girl, which technically I am because I am very young in human terms and for many people I would still be that, a youngster, which I am
Exactly, he's grown, yes, but think about it... He's been a sheltered prince for his entire life, He isn't well traveled like the suitors or Odysseus....and if you were Penelope, would you really let your child out to be lost like her husband. If it wasn't for Athena he'd probably still be stuck in Ithaca instead of becoming Legendary
@@distinguishedallureproduct879 Probably, yeah! I'm just about two years younger and I feel more mature than him. Or maybe that's just the teen angst talking through me😅
Telemachus is 20, exactly. He was an infant held in Odysseus's arms just shortly before he left for war. Odysseus spent 10 years fighting the war in Troy and another 10 years on The Odyssey Itself
Jorge shared a really cool breakdown with Athena and the theme of friendship, how she would sing straight notes then Ody got her to sing in a riff, then at the "breakup" song she goes back to staight notes with "my goodbye" and now Telemachus sings a riff of his own matched in harmony with Athena singing Ody's riff ❤ ah!
I believe the subtle choir is meant to imply that athena is watching. It's sorta like when Ody sings "You are Athena, badass in the Arena" and a choir accompanies him; that's actually Athena summoning it for him cuz she's singing about him
Remember from Just a Man - "you're as old as he was when I left for war". So Telemachus was born but still a baby, and is 20 at this point. Odysseus was at Troy for 10 years, then the events up to Thunderbringer took 3, then the '7 years later' time jump happens.
Beating up Telemachus definetely is not the way to win Penelope's heart, but suitors also see him as a threat and would like to get rid of him. He is the heir of Odysseus, so if Penelope doesn't marry soon, Tememachus can probably make his own claim on the throne, and suitors plans would be screwed. I believe at this point they are just looking for the excuse for getting him out of their way.
So happy I found a reaction that goes in-depth on how good Ayron Alexander's voice is. I know very little about technical musical terms/chord progression patterns but its still so interesting to hear someone else break down why he sounds so good in little wolf!
Telemachus was not yet 1 when Ody left, so he's almost 19 (if Ody left right after birth) through almost 21 (if Tele was almost 1), depending on exact birthdates. You're thinking ten years because that's how long Ody was traveling, but it was 20 years total- 10 at the Trojan war, 10 trying to get back home.
16:35 Telemachus was an infant when Ody left for Troy, making him 20-21 in the song. He may come across as a little younger because (going off source material and ancient Greek family values here, NOT modern or my own outlook) he didn't have a father in the home to show him how to properly "be a man"
I definitely do get you connecting Telemachus' "legendary" with pop punk, that genre definitely is the epitome of being ab angsty teen (maybe emo a bit more so) However when you'd put it like that, my mind directly went to Fall Out Boy, if I remember that properly, their singer is in similar range and has kind of a compatible timbre. Antinous really do be giving me the creeps, slimy, devilish, seductive seem like such a good ways to describe his vocals (in all the good ways of course, he's a villain) Also, I love having Teagan/ Athena actively in with her friends and family here ❣️
As other people have said, Telemachus was an infant when Odysseus left. Quite to the infant: “You’re as old as he was when I left for war.” Telemachus is exactly 20 years old here.
Ody left shortly after Telemachus was born. He is around 20 almost 21 years old at the point of this song. Part of why the suitors don't respect him is that in that time he should be a fully established adult by now ( greek men were considered adults around 14 or so) and he has done nothing to prove himself yet.
Wisdom, finally my favorite saga of Act II! Teagan is a vocal goddess in my opinion (that freaking range) and Mico...as Peter said, perfect casting all around! The increased ick for Antinous is real, just a heads up ;)
I'm early! This makes me appreciate the music a lot more and hear instruments and hidden tones I never noticed before. I watched all of these in three days before Chrismas. Lovely to get more. Thanks for this! Between you and Beck Leavsley I feel like I'm really starting to know the musical, both by sound and story progression. All love!❤🥰
49:21 Jay has a great video where he explains the "mind melody" motif used here across 3 songs, and the deeper significance of Telemachus singing and embellishing it. I love the thought he put into writing the music, it's absolute genius ruclips.net/video/xXMcsf5Lrjw/видео.html
I believe Telemachus is exactly twenty here, or 19, about to be 20. Ody was gone for 10 in the Trojan war, then another 10 on his journey. And he was an infant when he left, as said in The Horse and the Infant.
You recorded this in September?! Holy crow. I figured you were just behind with everything else you do. Hopefully the release cadence of these will speed up a but now that the whole thing is done. Doing a few songs every couple of weeks, we won't be done until summer! Lol
So it's not actually that I'm behind -- I'm VERY on top of my schedule haha everyone around me could tell you. But you bring up something important -- the reason my Epic vids are behind is because my channel isn't dedicated entirely to Epic, and Mason and I try to have videos uploaded to YT a month ahead of time to make sure we can clear all copyrights before sharing publicly. I love making videos for this piece, otherwise I wouldn't do it, but I still have a ton of other artists I regularly make videos for on the channel (and am always looking for new ones!)
Fun fact! Antinous' name means something along the lines of "without thought", sort of really driving home that he is the exact opposite of Odysseus lol.
Telemachus was an infant when Ody left, Telemachus is 20 at this point. And you probably thought it was just 10 because that is the time for the Odyssey, but he was at Troy fighting the war for 10 years before that.
Telemachus was a baby, about a year old, when Odysseus went to war. In the Odyssey, the reason Odysseus even goes to war is because Telemachus' life is threatened. Odysseus has been gone 20 years during the time of Legendary and Little Wolf, making Telemachus 20-21 ish. But let's be real, 20 year olds DO still have that teen angst carrying over and he's meant to be naïve or sheltered in a way which adds to the way he's characterized.
In the infant and the horse, Odysseus makes a comment about when he left his son was about his age. The Trojan War was 10 years. The events of the Odyssey take place another 10 years. 20 years since Odysseus left to fight in the Trojan War. I could be wrong about the song from the Troy saga
Telemachus is 20 at this point in the story the animators just drew him as an angsty teen and the dog Argos is pretty old at this time. The Ithaca saga will destroy you be prepared.
The 10 years you’re probably thinking of is the Trojan war. That lasted for 10 years and Telemachus was an infant when Odysseus was made to leave for war (which an infant ranges between 1-12 months old). And it takes Odysseus another 10 years after that to get home. So at the very most, Telemachus is 21, but it’s more likely he’s 20! But given he’s had no father, no training, and no real experience with the outside world (meaning outside of Ithaca), he comes across as rather naive! Edit: Also not Alexander Ayron 😂
Здравствуй Peter. Как жалко что у нас блокируют ютуб. То что можно прослушать за 2-3 минуты, если не отключаться, то можно слушать 2-3 часа, а хочется слушать вас.
Hope y'all are ready for a DEEP DIVE into the Wisdom Saga! Early access to all my EPIC-related content is available on Patreon :}

It took Peter nearly as long to get to The Wisdom saga as it took Odysseus to get home, but we’re finally here.
hahaha you're not wrong
No seriously I checked almost everyday on Patreon. Love his other vids but where’s EPIC???🥹🤣
@@Keshonna Finally here! I've also already recorded for Vengeance and will record for Ithaca in the coming weeks
@@PeterBarber Yeeey! And since you are up for darker stuff Peter, you better prepare for the Ithaca Saga, its wild! And amazing! So...amazing 🥲
You could say we've been "waiting, waiting, oh!"
In the first saga, Ody was singing to a baby about how he reminded him of his son who was a baby when he left home. So this kid is definitely 20
20 with angsty teen energy, which is most 20 year-olds haha
20 yr olds don't THINK they still have teen angst carrying over but they do. 😂
Man if you loved Aaron's voice on this wait till you hear the real villainous song of this musical he sings....it ties easily with Hellfire for villainy . His vocals....
Honestly it’s up there for me man such a good villain song and my man preforms the hell of out it

"Is this the best way to win Penelope?" oof, can't wait for the reaction to the Ithica saga with that comment
Sagely nodding along to Peter’s commentary on notes and keys like I know more than elementary school level notes

Telemachus is indeed 20, however due to the way he was raised he's quite immature for his age still having a teenage spirit.

OMG ..SAME 😊
Mico is an amazing singer, and a perfect Telemachus!
In "We'll Be Fine" when Telemacus starts singing after Athena, I think part of "Legendary" slips in. It's pretty cool 😊
You actually encouraged me to figure out my vocal range and it turns out I’m a Baritone with a range of G#2 to F#4
Wow, that's pretty cool!
Your vocal instruction in this one was so interesting and informative. BTW, looking forward to your next song with Teagan. ♥️🤗

10 years for the war, another 10 to make it home! Telemachus was just an infant when Ody left home.
