Thank you so much for this video. I hate to look up these things online because the directions are so long, and they name a lot of items I'm unfamiliar with. Thank you so much. This helped me a lot.
Ok, the first thing you connected is called an "F Barrell Connector"' correct? but the additional line you added after that is called what? I need to know what to ask for when I purchase it. Thanks.
My internet coax cable was too short to reach my modem so the cable guy put a splitter to connect the coax to another coax that leads to my modem. Am I better off taking the splitter out and using a coupler?
yes the splitter cuts the signal in half. A signal splitter / combiner is used to connect to multiple TV's and devices. Splitting the signal to 2 output ports delivers a little less than half the signal to each output. Signals at the outports are reduced by -4 dB, equivalent to adding about 70 feet of cable. The more outport ports, the greater the signal loss.
Hello, can someone please help me. I have local cable TV and wiring was done internally around 7 years ago. I recently bought Videocon D2H. Is it possible to connnect the new D2H cable to the existing cable that runs internally using this method?
