- Hey everyone and welcome to The Fest Vest! For this garment you will be using your own body measurements to create a cute boho vest perfect for the summer or layered in the winter! You can use any ply/fibre of yarn and any hook although I suggest a chunky weight as that is what the yardage is based on. This is such a quick make when using chunky yarn and is perfect for a bohemian style! You can also add your own surface crochet design if you wish! I look forward to seeing everyone’s version of the Fest Vest.
The tutorial is in US TERMS and is perfect for an adventurous beginner.

Construction Details...
This garment is made from the bottom up and worked back and forth in rows. You will then add the straps and upper back panel. The straps are worked straight on to the garment until they reach the top of your shoulder, then you will add the upper back section on the back of the garment and seam the straps to the upper back section. I then added a tie to the front and some surface crochet. Both of these are optional.
Here are some yarn estimates based on Chunky yarn (7mm hook).
Please note the yarn measurements are estimates and it all depends on the yarn/hook you are using and the length that you go for! These are based on a cropped length.

When you counted the half of back part did you count from the stitch markers or the stitch after it? If that makes sense 😀
