I love how they showed and talked about how they have failed several times before. I lot of people seem to think that their videos are fake because the smoothies look so good, but its just that Ash and Tay are experienced and actually know how to make thick smoothies.
@@uhval5312 had them before; DINT EAT CARAMEL POPCORN I BROKE A BRACKET OFF , it will hurt when you first get them on and when you get them tightened, please eat soft foods, wax is great because the metal tears up the inside of your mouth but then the wax gets stuck and you end up swallowing it, stay away from chewy foods (because they never get out of your braces) especially gum, but gummies and caramel are fine if your careful. Hard and crunchy foods can break your brackets so be careful, do a good job brushing, flossing, mouthwash, and the little brush to clean the part underneath the wire. Braces are really hard to clean so you need to be extra thorough! (Y did I forget how to spell that), brush your teeth after every meal if possible, this is just because otherwise your teeth look gross and also it will be harder to clean later. Also the putting the braces on procedure may hurt, for me it felt like the inside of my cheek was being stabbed, and it took a decent while but you will have to suffer through it. Maybe eat some ice cream afterwards? Your teeth will get sore so ice cream is one of the best things to eat (or smoothies). I got my braces on Wednesday (it’s Friday for me idk about you) and my teeth/ gums are STILL sore, so good foods to eat are: oatmeal, soups, smoothies, ice cream, yogurt, pasta (not al dente- it can be painful, and try to stay away from chunkier sauces) these are my tips and knowing me ofc they are almost all food related. These will vary depending on how long your braces will be on and if it’s the first or second stage of braces (or if you are only doing one total stage). Good luck!
are you ladies able to show up the step-by-step process on how to make the smoothie thick? can you show us the speeds you start with, the speeds you use as you move along in the smoothie bowl-making process? I think that would be a huge help!
omg that’s what im looking for tok i never know what speed they use first and how long because i have a vitamix and i’m just using random speed going by what i see inside the blender..
jump quickly from 1 to 10 (on a vitamix). using speed 10 will ensure you’re not destroying your blender as it fully activated the temperature protections and revs the fan up all the way
I'm glad I found this - have broken one blender and just exploded another and chewed up a wooden spoon trying to get it to stir. I was in such a hurry - great tips. I didn't know about the air pocket (makes sense) and I'm going to start using less ice - right now using Keifer, coconut milk, frozen fruit and veggies, protein powder, and milk and I like them thick but I'm new to "healthy" smoothies. I know I can't be alone in the world on learning the art of healthy smoothie meal replacements
I’ve tried making smoothie bowls using only berries and adding too much liquid and I’ve always wondered what I’m doing wrong. This helped a lot I’ve started using mangos, peaches, and banana and it’s getting so creamy now.
I just came across your channel (literally 3 days ago) and After watching several of your videos I decided to give this whole smoothie bowl a go! I have a Ninja blender that came with 3 different size blender containers so you can choose the size that suits your needs. So far I’ve made smoothie bowls in the large and medium containers using all your best tips for getting a smooth, creamy, ultra thick texture…AND, I was pleasantly surprised that everything you have shared WORKS PERFECTLY AND DELIVERED ON THE PROMISE OF A REALLY REALLY THICK BOWL! I’ve always relied on tons of ice and fresh fruit and never understood why my smoothies weren’t turning out right. Thank you for sharing such great tips that actually work!! My blender gets the job done but like you said it just requires more time and patience (and a lot of turning the machine off and on) to achieve the perfect result. Regardless of how long it takes, it WORKS the way y’all say it will which is awesome!! Thanks again for sharing such great tips!!! Cheers! ✌🏻♥️
You ladies are so great and very informative. You also keep it real by coming out and being honest and admitting you did not start out with perfect smoothie bowls and smoothies. Your video was very helpful to me basically giving me the confidence to make better smoothie bowls. Thanks, ladies, you are great.
Your tips work perfectly! I really like ice cream, so the thick consistency is just awesome. I got an old blender, which still works very well, but I never thought to put the liquid in first, it came out so much better than before and I even got a swirl 😂
I've been adding roasted cauliflower, and I also start with a base of about 6 ounces of kale. I also use fresh coconut water for the fluid - not too much, as they say. Then the frozen fruits on top. You do not taste the kale or cauliflower, but it sure does make the smoothie very thick and creamy - and it's even healthier. I also use some stevia for sweetening. You could call this a "thickie." And of course, a lot of people are now using beans to thicken their smoothies into ice cream. I even use potatoes as well.
I didn’t even know that smoothie bowls existed until I saw one of your TikToks! I WAS SO DELIGHTED WHEN I MADE A THICK SMOOTHIE AND THEY WERE SO DELICIOUS!!!!!
1st time viewing - thank you. Just got some BigTrain vanilla smoothie "base" and working on getting a healthy smoothie. I do have a vitamix - working towards a creamy smoothie!
I've only just found you guys and LOVE all your content 👌I've just ordered my Blue spirilina and can't wait to try out - great recipes (and great tip re freezing the nut milks👍👍)
Thank you for these 10 Tips ! You two gals are my inspiration & love all your recipes. I'd love to get a nice Vitamix blender but am using the Bullet. Thanks again.
just used my brand new vitamin for the first time following this video and ended up taking the lid off like y'all did to stick the tamper right in and it broke immediately. thanks guys!
The vitamix instructions tell you to never use the tamper without the lid on. They are pros at making thick smoothies, you’re a novice. It’s not their fault that you didn’t read the safety rules the manufacturer gave you with the product. You can’t do what they do if you’ve not yet had the experience and learned what they have. You pushed the tamper down too far and the blades got it.
I didn't have enough money for a vitamix:( but I did get a big nutibullet (that comes with a tamper 😁😁)and It works very well so I can't wait to make your great recipes 😊
Super helpful tips! I just have one question... Do you guys think smoothie bowls can be done on a business profitable business level? Like I guess is kind of time consuming... let me know what u guys think ✌🏼☺️
There was a place in my neighborhood that tried doing so. First, my neighborhood wasn’t health oriented so passers-by would very seldom enter the shop. Second, the shop itself looked dull, no personality, no soul : I went in but did not feel like staying. Third, I would say the main problem (beside the facts above mentioned) was the price range of the products, I guess they got their fruit from a quite expensive provider to begin with. To be honest I don’t think the time you need to make a smoothie is the most important problem here. Good luck to you if you try anyway!
Nice job ladies! I'm on Keto and don't eat much fruit. Have any recipes with only veggies? Or with peanut butter? Just bought the Ninja Smoothie bowl combo. Thanks!
What settings do you use on the Vitamix? I have a Vitamix but the texture isn’t quite right. I’ve tried on high, also started at 1 then went up to 4-5.
Gracias por los tips. Encontré su canal la semana pasada, he tratado dos veces y todavía estoy en la estapa "gross looking" (at least they taste good) hahhaha pero en definitiva pondré en práctica sus consejos until I a get a creamy looking smoothie bowl 😎😋 Sending you guys lots of love from Panamá 🥰🇵🇦
Hey guys. Thanks for sharing all the useful tips! Just wondering if I wanna make these smoothies in a big batch, like to sell in shop, what sorta of mixer or blender that I could use? Thanks in advance
While blending, when it gets really thick, the chunks no longer circulate. It's hard to get everything smooth. One solution is to use some fresh fruit, and make it fluid enough to circulate. Then add a little (less than a teaspoon probably) xanthan gum. Instant thickness, and everything is well blended.
